I was putting the new update on and Odin was doing its thing. it went black now I got the stupid screen of a phone pic a yellow triangle and a computer. I know my phone is hardware locked what can I do? I rooted it with the one click root but no rom was installed.
Do you have adb running? You do know there was a fix for hardware locked vibrants, right?
If you have adb running & your phone can be seen by your pc it might be possible to get the sbl file pushed in to flash. Not sure it would work this way but it might be worth a shot. Not to sure what commands you would need either.

I did search and search on hardware locked and bricked phones. My first post was about all I see is the phone, yellow triangle and the computer icons. I pulled the battery hold the volume up and down both put the battery in plugged in the usb cord and It goes right to the symbols of the phone, yellow triangle and the computer. Odin does not see my phone sorry but I have studied for hours how to root and do several things to my vibrant by myself. This has me stumped and looking for help.

Nothing. The 3-button fix should have been applied prior to flashing anything! You need a new phone, unless somehow, magically, after searching these forums and trying the (at least) 20+ ways people claim to get into download mode work.
None have worked on mine.
im not asking if ODIN can see your phone. I was asking if ADB sees your phone...
Do you have ADB setup? if so, what happens when you type:
adb remount
If you do have adb setup and nothing happens then you are in the same boat as southplatte.
get the samsung captivate back to download mode
I have similar problem like that. When i use Odin3 one click flash the ROM. It stuck in the middle of flash. I take off the usb cable out ,try to reboot the phone. Oop .. the screen show the sign of the phone--- yellow triangle with exclamation sign in the middle---computer icon. Can do nothing with it, because the computer now can not connect with the phone.
In my case, I take the USB off the phone but still connect with the computer. Hold the volume button + power until the phone flash in black screen .This moment happen very quick ,it will go back to the unconnected sign again. When the screen turn black just release power button but still press volume button (otherwise it not working) hook the USB back in your phone right on that moment. The Phone go back to download mode. If not work try couple time ,important is timing right on the moment the flash to black screen .
Now ,you can use the odin3 flash the ROM again. It works for me ,and i try again same situation couple times. it really works.
hopefully, this will help for who got the same problem.

Omg Thank You! you just saved me 2hrs. Try this method if you guys get the triangle sign. It works!
Same issue...
Galaxy S 4g Tmobile - tried pulling all cards and battery and 3-button trick but to no avail. Never enters downloading mode. How can I tell if I'm fully bricked?
Dharra, youre in the wrong forum altogether
OP, try a jig. If that doesnt get you into download.mode, listen very carefully: youre ****ed.
Your only remaining options will be to send it to someone with a riff box (pm connexions2005 or go to mobiletechvideos.com) or do the unbrickable mod and run the unbricking app.
If you do fix your phone, do the hw lock fix right ****ing away!!

hello,
need help,
i also have display on my screen (cellphone)...(!)...(PC).
i tried the battery pull and plug in the usb and holding the vol- vol + buttons. still get the same thing. i also tried the holding the all 3 buttons (power) untill the screen went blank then release and plugged in the usb. no change.
i do get a chime on my windows xp that usb is connected but nothing shows up
also odin does shoes connected (comm XXX) but every time i try to re flash it just sits there on the "initialization"
what can i do?
What bootloader do you have? If GB press vol down and power together then plug in USB.
Hi first sorry for my bad english but i will do my best.
So heres the story, i tried to root my GF phone in order to install CM 10.2, i was able to install safestrap but i deleted something and now the phone dont even power one. I mean when i do any combinaison of Power + Volume up or down or even Power + volume up and down at the same time nothing hapen, No motorola logo, nothing append.
But i saw something, when the phone is plugged in usb and i try to boot it with volume down + power i saw an: OMAP thing in device manager... but ... it appear, disapear like 20 time in row and stop to appear after 2 minute i mean my comp detect, delete, detect, delete if you know whats i mean
The phone is a Rogers XT910 GSM phone it was working number one prior flashing but now it dont power on. Any idea ? i searched a lot on xda, tried almost anything, but nothing work.
I flash phone on a daily basis but never flashed a motorola phone before
So, let's go, let me help you mate...
1 - turn off your phone;
2 - press and hold every single physical button together (power, Vol+, Vol-)
3 - You will see a recovery screen (like an DOS on computer)
4 - Pressing Vol- you change the options, Vol+ you select any option there
5 - Enter the option: AP Fastboot
6 - Download the program called RSDLite
7 - Download a full official retail JB rom
8 - Install this rom using RSDLite
9 - After you pass whole process succesfully, your phone is ready to be used again.
Remember: CHARGE your phone to 100%, because the process is slow and your battery will drain fast, so have sure you did a long charge before installing the rom again.
I was direct on the answer...if you have any doubt...so ask...

Hi experts,
I really don't know what happened to this phone. I left it on the charger (usb->pc) for couple hours and when I got back, only the LG Logo. I removed the battery and reboot the unit, it gets stuck at the LG Logo. So I google around for a fix. Found some.... but to no avail! Following is what I don't understand!
1. When I do factory reset, (volume down + power key), click YES and it says "Factory Reset Processing". This process takes forever. I went outside for like 30 minutes and when I got back, still at the same screen.
2. When I try to flash via bootloader (volume up + insert usb cable) it goes into fastboot mode then tells me to press the volume up button until I see the download mode. Well, this proces, like the above, I press the volume up key for like 20 to 30 minutes, nothing happens.
3. When I remove/insert battery, power up the unit, it gets stuck at the LG logo but the pc cannot recognize it.
What seems to be the problem here?
Thank you very much!
OMG, We have same problem ,I don't know what happen with that, Even I don't use couple months ,I try to do MP3 Player ,Can not be boot on.. I just want to try re-flash now if I can do this with my PC.

Since you can get into fastboot mode, you don't have to press volume up, from here you can just fastboot flash your phone using stock ROM or use my tool (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6vSHGXxJIWmVjRVMlRSQW9HWWs) that I wrote to flash it (easier for beginners).

Got a samsung s6 phone stuck on the startup logo, cant turn it off.
The only way i can interact with it is; volume down + power off that makes it just restart to the stuck logo.
Volume down + power button + home button - takes me to where i can download a custom firmware.
Thats pretty much it, cant do the volume up + power button for firmware reset or simply turn it off....
Haalp, tried to custome update it with a firmware to the phones version, still stuck on the startup logo..

I assume it's unremovable battery...damn i hate those phones with unremovable batteries, so have you tried volume up + power button + home button?
This should make you boot into recovery and be able to factory reset your phone.

Ok, here's another 2 options you can do.
1-hold the power button only and see if that shuts it down.
2-leave it like that till the battery discharged completely, then charge it for a few minutes then try booting into recovery using the volume up with power and home buttons.

Did you try to boot into recovery without putting it in charger?
Or plug it in the charger while holding volume up + home buttons?

Tried the volume up + home + power... No respons at all.
The only thing i can get to work is volume down + home + power - takes me to a custome download software menu with the option to custom download or simply cancel/restart device.
Or volume down + power, for a simple restart that takes me back to the frozen samsung logo screen.
I tried to download a custom software compatible with the phones model in odin software and kias... Same result, back to frozen samsung screen.

Your only solution is to reset data, but i don't know how, even if you tried adb but you don't have USB debugging enabled, so adb won't work, you're in some deep problem, try giving it to some service center he might have a software tool that can simply wipe data without troubles.
Some users say that holding the power button for 15 seconds should shut it down which didn't work for you either, so your only solution is to give it to a service center, it should cost you nothing, it's just a reset data....i guess.
This is a old phone, and its userdamage not softwarefail. Dont think the support will take that in for "fix".
Also not my phone, so i could not deliver it for service. Got it cause the owner wanted to trash it, but i could have it if i got it to work.
Found a software for my country, some version below 5.1.1 and 1 software over. But now i get fail in odin. Why do that happen?
The new error message i get when i download firmware thats for my country: [CM] SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:5, BINARY:4

You're trying to downgrade to an older bootloader which isn't recommended and will cause problems.
What do you mean by it's user damage, did you trip knox?
Or did you try to flash a custom recovery? Or you tried to root?
If no, and you got bootloop while the phone was upgrading, then it's not your fault, and it's a software damage.
If yes, then you should fix it anyway because if you didn't then it will be useless and the s6 isn't old like you said, it's still new, if you have an s2 like mine then you can call that old :silly:

By userdamaged, i mean... Ehm, the owner probably downloaded some custome software or tried some kind of "jailbreak" i guess. I rlly dont know.
Just as i read online, this seems to be a hard brick of some kind... If i cant fix this on my own, its prolly going in the trash. Since i got it for free cause the owner wanted to trash it as he could not fix it.

Hard brick means it's a hardware issue, so if you believe it's a hardware issue then there is nothing you can do, what i meant was you should "Ask" how much would repairing it will cost, if it's just a software problem then it should cost a little, and you will be the winner at the end because you got the phone for free and you made it work....and it's an s6 phone...Something i dream of LOL, and if it's a hardware issue and will cost you a fortune then throw it in the trash or sell it as a spare parts phone or something.
Sad news then Ill try to find out if its worth it.
I have pretty much tried everything i can at home. Anyways, thanks alot for the help
Guys I need help ...this morning my phone restarted while charging and got stuck on huawei logo screen. i tried different combinations of Power + Volume up and down buttons but it didnt go to any other screen. then i installed hisuite on my PC and connected to my phone through USB cable, and holding volume down button i got to this screen which says FAST BOOT&RESCUE MODE and further reads "Phone Locked" "FRP Lock" in the end below Android logo.
i want to access my phone contents and get backup as I have important files to recover. Please I need some help with detailed step by step procedure to help me get through without damaging my phone or its content. I am hoping some nice techie can write me the steps needed to be taken considering I am a complete noob.
Try forcing your way into the recovery and clearing cache
Vol up + power without having it plugged in
Just keep it pressed for 1 min + if you have to until you see the recovery
When the phone vibrates and turns on let go of the power button so it won't cycle

Any news? I got one in the same condition. When its in eRecovery and i try to update it shows "can't get update info(or something like that)", it doesn't have factory reset button available, it doesn't have wipe button available. When I put it in fastboot, it shows Phone "Locked" and "FRP Lock".
Wtf do I do with this brick?

Hi,
have you tried Emergency Backup?
- Turn off your phone and connect it to your computer using USB cable. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power Button for 15 seconds, until the device restarts and enters the eRecovery mode. Select "Emergency backup" . Works on EMUI 9.1 only!
IMO theres no other way to save your data...

Phone does not turn off, and whatever button you press it just keeps showing Huawei start screen except for volume down and power button combination which opens fast boot window. Do you how to connect the device to laptop while in fastboot mode? We have tried fastboot commands on terminal but didnt get anywhere with file recovery...
so no solution?

hi may I ask if you have resolved the problem? Been experiencing the same problem when my huawei p20 lite got stuck on a startup logo screen
same problem with me, phone is stuck on start up logo, not moving anywhere despite using all the tricks, any solutions, anyone have?
Hi, I have same problem. Stuck on HUAWEI logo and power off do restart.
Phone is with last stock FW, FRP and BOOTL. locked. I tried update from SD card, but no succes. All buttons combinations not working except fastboot. But in fastboot, there is no possibility to do something due to locked btldr.
But I have one advantage, I have same phone model with same firmware working. Is there any possibility to recover bad piece?
*bump*
anyone who fixed this ?
