It surely can....most likely using the same settings previously used to flash other phones to Metro. You just won't have 4g.

Thanks, but I'm speaking more towards 3g. I know the HTC EVO LTE you could have done this so I was curious if the Note3 can do it.

The tri band phones are even worse there is only one pathway from radio to soc so it uses circuit fallback to change from data to cdma when you have a call ...I had the g2 for 2 weeks and went back to note 3 for simultaneous LTE and wifi with cdma .... so far you can't even get that in a Tri band either
