I tried on Broadway, and they told me they only sell it locked, and I have to use it on T-Mobile for 40 days before being able to unlock it, and since I'm leaving next Sunday, this is not going to happen..

If the store can't/won't unlock it you can buy an unlock code for $1.50. Not optimal but it isn't much of an increase in price.
Get it from any tmobile full price locked phone and unlock it thru cellunlocker.net

If the Verizon model has the bands you need, they come unlocked.

Handtek just confirmed that Motorola Razr appeared at their stock (however web site was not updated yet). I've made a preorder about a week ago and it seems like the best available deal at the UK market today.

Handtec have global or Usa version?
I wrote to handtec and the answer is "I am sorry for this error, the Razr will only be in stock in the next 7 days, this was erroneously placed into stock today and will only be with us around the 7th November"

It doesn't say if it is the VERIZON version or not (XT910 or XT912)
can somebody confirm this ??
(The VERIZON version XT912 has a locked bootloader and CAN'T be used for roaming in USA with AT&T)

Was tempted to go with Gum but after reading there eBay feedback I decided with Clove. They say its in stock but some people have had to wait a long time before they received there order from Gum.

I just called up Clove and they said pre1pm delivery tomorrow. I said I am going on vacation tomorrow before noon and paid extra for pre 9 am delivery.

So they sent it Royal Mail Special Delivery before 1pm. Hope they come in the morning for you, here they are banging the door down at 7.30 am. I chose City Link as I need it after the wife has gone to work, trying to slide it under the radar

Just call the 800 number, and they'll take care of you. I just got off the phone with them and let them know what was going on. They might have to "look into it", but she gave me the credit on my bill.
Thanks for posting this guys, another $100 for the kids on Christmas is a good thing.
Just now called and asked for the rebate. So now I have to go to the AT&T store and fill out the form and mail it in. Should take about 6 to 8 weeks to get my mola back.
Edit: The store just credited the money to my next bill. The lady in customer service didn't know what she was talking about.

Bought 2 phones the day before the Best Buy sale, and went back in 2 days later and was refunded the $200 plus tax. Not complaining about that at all
I bought my phone the day before this sale went live, apparently. I called the Best Buy 800 number and the lady said I would have to go into the store since I bought it there.
Walked in with my receipt, told the guy what had happened, and he happily price matched it for me. Took all of about 3 minutes since he had to get a manager override.

Got mine today.. $144 out the door.
I'm thinking of picking this up but I don't want to enter a contract being Canadian and all...
I want to get a friend in the states to buy it and then I can drive over and pick it up from her...
Would the following strategy work:
Buy the phone from Best Buy and sign an AT&T contract. Get phone for $99+tax.
Next day, call up AT&T and cancel contract. Pay $325+tax for ECF.
End up with brand new Optimus G for 425 + tax.
What do you guys think, would this work? Or would I have to pay AT&T extra (Atleast 1 month of service etc etc)?
Wanna pick this up before December 1st so quickly need to make a decision...
I'd like to rush out tomorrow and buy one but my local shops in the East Midlands don't even think this phone is released until mid may.
Anyone know of any shops that are selling it? Even the Sony site says its preorder only still.

I honestly don't think there's going to be anything in the shops until early to mid May and that any stock there is will be for contract only.

Unfortunately, no where will have them til at least the 1st of May.
This was confirmed by Sony, and also the Sony center that i went to in Bristol.

If I remember from my Nexus 5 waiting days. I have the same notice. But apparently parcel force tends to load their vehicles on the weekend for Monday delivery. So I would be optimistic if we get them today.

Here's a quote from the parcelforce website.
My parcel tracking results states ‘loaded to delivery vehicle’ and it is Saturday today. Will my parcel be delivered?

I called Google and they said although it had left the warehouse and arrived with the shipper it hasn't been assigned a trackibg number yet. Could be because I'm in NI so it takes a bit longer. Jealous you got yours today!!

As title states, I just picked one up at a target in S.F. for the wife. I had to use eBay to get a Sim unlock code, even for a straight talk at&t Sim. She is still waiting on number port from virgin though. The phone is in touched otherwise so if someone needs patitions etc. And can walk me through it I will try to help. These phones rock I wish we could get carbon ported to it, I like it and run it on my zero 7 pro tablet.

I know right. They trying to give those ones away. I paid full price from sears $268.00 including tax, and I picked it up because it was the last one they had at that time instock. THat will make people think twice about buying a throw away tracfone with a price like that.

I just tried to buy it and it is instore. I was going to buy them and sell them locally at my shop.
