I'd like to rush out tomorrow and buy one but my local shops in the East Midlands don't even think this phone is released until mid may.
Anyone know of any shops that are selling it? Even the Sony site says its preorder only still.

I honestly don't think there's going to be anything in the shops until early to mid May and that any stock there is will be for contract only.

Unfortunately, no where will have them til at least the 1st of May.
This was confirmed by Sony, and also the Sony center that i went to in Bristol.

i was told that frys electronics (san marcos ca.) is going to have the gNOTE on sale for 129.00 tomorrow. Only thing is that store only has 3 in stock.

Lets see and hope.
Maxx is more or less the same as Razr plus larger battery.
So i dont think larger battery and demand of phone, should drive the price so high.
When S3 comes out and some other phones (panasonic, sony etc) the price should go down..

I just want to clarify....The phones being sold from these websites are unlocked correct? So I can just plug in a SIM from a service provider and be good to go, correct?
I currently live in the U.S. but will be living in the Netherlands starting this summer so I am trying to pick out a phone.

I dont mean to be a pain. Basically I need Best Buy to price match because I am within 60 days on 3 of my phones. So I was hoping to get a better shot of the price tag and the detailed print. Any help is appreciated.

good luck with that. Bestbuy just told me on thursday that they are no longer price matching phones. Wouldn't price match for amazon wireless price. Said it came from corporate office.

That is weird. Best Buy price matched the amazon $149.99 price last week when we bought them. Also Endadget posted today that Best Buy was going to match online retailers permanently. The article specifically mentions Best Buy Mobile and cell phones, and even mentions price matching Amazon.

From what I read online, they will only pricematch online-only pricing if you buy from their online front. But when I was in store just this evening, they told me they dont really care and pricematch everyone.I got them to pricematch Dell.com and then at the register the guy hooked me up (probably since we talked about rooting for ages) and punched 99.99 in. The manager came over, didnt question a thing, and I got my Verizon Note 2 for $108 lol. Time to load up on accessories!

I went today and they price matched it for me. I downloaded the picture to my phone, and acted as if I had just come from Sams and had taken the picture myself. They did it no problem at all.

Good catch. I admit, I just glanced over it.
I go to Best Buy a few times a week. And they always do a great job of price matching. I havent gotten push back on it in a long time. I actually prefer shopping there because of their price matching, especially up to 60 days after purchase!

No indication on how long the price will remain, but Samsung phones have been all weird lately at Sam's Club. I've been watching the GS3 fluctuate from $200 down to 96 cents (Black Friday), up to $150 and now at $99 all within 2 months.
Debating myself to get another one of these and selling it, but not sure if that's a crazy thought.
If you have guys have any questions on Sam's Club lemme know, I've been working at a club's kiosk for 7 months now.

Yes you need a membership card to get in, but we don't check who the card actually belongs to when purchasing.

And they only tax you on the sales price 98.88 not 699 whatever.
If anything the sale will last for another week unless it changes today. Most stores received over 20 notes. There was no advertising.

so as the title states best buy price match guarantee worked in my success, that i would very surprised at!! i was shopping online sprint released me from contract using vzw prl's too much roaming they terminated me so i was shopping online at amazonwireless.com found the note 2 grey version only for 149.99 and the dna 49.99 out the door 200 bucks went to best buy asked for a manager showed him the pricing and sure enough they gave me both devices for 225 out the door i purchased the geek squad warranty. 9.99 a month per line i got it cause they give you one free battery for signing up was well worth it just for that!! and if you cancel before 30 days well then you get a battery for free and you help rep make a pinch of commision costing you nothing just thought i would share to all of those thinking that 299 was a hefty price like myself!! hope i have helped, pm me with any questions

Also anytime you are dealing with commission there are also chargebacks. So no you arent making the salesman any commission. But if their chargebacks are abnormally high you could be getting them in trouble.

uh... this is different dude, i am talking about price matching amazon wireless, but go ahead troll on my man!
The only things is I found it cheaper on dell site and Amazon wouldn't match it because they only price match certain sites...dell has it for 129 with 50 bucks giftcard and bestbuy has it for 98 Buck in store

You can get it even cheaper if you have a Sam's club near by. I got one for my wife last night with a price match from Sam's for $98.88 and then the $50 Best Buy gift card on top of that.
My best but said they don't honor online prices for cell phones upgrades. Said it came from corporate. Glad for those that got it. Remember getting my rezound for a penny

I used to work for best buy, they will price match anyway. Just have to find the right store that isn't hitting budget and they will take anything.

With some discounts applied, some employers/schools have it waived.

Got my Note 2 about little over 2 weeks ago for 189. PLUS got a $50 gift card that I applied towards the cost and end result was 149 bucks after tax.
What a great way to get a phone now though.. I used to always get my phones from Amazonwireless. But now that Best Buy Price Matches.. Ill be staying local till they quit doing it.

It was delayed because of Chinease new year mate, so I cancelled and picked my 32gb White one up for the same price from an ebay seller. £382 with next day delivery. Very happy with it.
