Hello guys. Yesterday i downloaded a nice rom and put it to my internal sd then i went to the recovery and wiped data & factory reset and after i wanted to flash the rom that i have put into my internal memory but i could not find any folder on my sd card there was only a folder named clockworkmod. everything was wiped .
any help would be appreciated
Nothing you can do, you wiped data, therefore it deleted your data. All you can really do is copy the rom over again and flash it.

Philz defaults to 4.2 configuration (as per the FAQ in the Philz thread which you should have read first). so you need to toggle the setting in recovery

I'm having some trouble right now.. I rooted my phone, I put Hellybean onto my microsd card. I booted to android system recovery > reinstall packages, and then i deleted cache, formatted system, deleted the other cache etc.
I tried to find the hellybean zip on my microsd card but it was no where to be found.. So I rebooted my phone and now I have no OS, and when I boot into recovery and go to reinstall packages to try and get back to clockwork mod recovery menu it's not there either (assuming I'm missing the files to go there now).
What can I do guys? Do I need to get 2.3 back on here again and redo everything.. when I get back to where I'm going to flash the hellybean rom how do I find the file on my sd card? I went to SD folder and it wasn't there but I checked my sd card and it is there on the computer.
The ROM zip needs to be on your internal storage.
Mount on your PC, if your internal storage shows move ROM there with update.zip for Clockwork Mod.
Reinstall packages and once in cwm you'll be able to install HB from the zip.
If you can't see internal storage I'd Odin back to stock and then try again.

Sorry I didn't understand what you meant in the beginning. Mount on your pc? Explain a little?
If that doesn't work how do I use Odin to flash back to stock, what do I need to do, i don't need a full detailed guide but just what files and what buttons to press on odin.
There are lots of very detailed Odin guides. Look around. I wasn't real clear at first if you could get in CWM recovery. If you could, then you could Mount Storage and your PC would have seen the internal storage, thus allowing you to put the ROM.zip on it..
Look in the stickies for Odin guide. They are easy to follow. I'd tell you how to do it, but if you read it yourself you'll understand what your doing, and it will help you in the long run.

It concerns me that you said: "Do I need to get 2.3 back on here again"
The t959 never received an official 2.3 update. Does your device have a front facing camera? If so you have the t959v which is a very different device and is in a different section on xda.

The guide to ODIN back to factory stock is in the first sticky thread of this section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028
But also make sure you are using the Vibrant and flashing roms for it, not the S 4G.
Hi there, I'm new to this whole thing and I think I may have bricked my SGS2 but I'm not sure :/
Apologies in advance if any of my terms are incorrect!
Okay, so I was wanting to install the AOKP Jelly Bean Build 4 onto my S2.
Everything was going fine, I managed to install the ClockWordMod 4.0.0.2 onto the phone and do all the Odin Stuff.
I then put the phone into Recovery mode and then proceeded with the factory reset and then the cache partition wipe
and then the Dalvik cache.
What I didn't realise I had to do was to have the custom ROM on the internal SD. Being the n00b I am
I automatically thought that by "place custom ROM on SD" they meant to put it on my external SD card.
I can't seem to access the ROM zip file on the external SD and was wondering how I could get it onto my internal one?
I have two questions
1. Is there any way I can install the custom Jelly Bean ROM using the external SD memory? [As I don't have the ROM on my internal SD]
2. If not, is there any way I can access my Internal SD anymore because the computer is not recognising it.
3. If that's not possible either, is there any way I can restart everything from scratch, or reinstall an OS to use? LOL.
I am sorry if this isn't clear at all, any help would be appreciated guys! Please and Thank You
Factory reset from within ROM.
hi, it happened to when i finished flashing CM10.1 for my Samsung Galaxy W. what i did was i did Factory Data Reset from within the ROM and tick the "Erase SD card" box. After my phone reboot i finally can access the internal sd. thank God.
Update CWM to a newer one ... This will enable install zip from internal/external sd card
Tou can reinstall the os with odin stock rom from sammobile
Send from my SGS2 I9100 with PACMAN ROM and latest DorimanX 8.xx kernel
you may need to format it.

I was about to upgrade to the 10.1.3 stable (from 10.1 stable) of cm when i strumbled across several gigs of old files, app date, media and backups from my old n long gone cm9 install (under /data/media).
clearly all the wipes i performed since cm9 did not remove any of these files which include old apps i'd installed but havent used since cm-10.
Is there a way to do a complete wipe and get rid of all this excess garbage I have no more use for?

Wipe the internal sd, don't forget to backup your files before.

Because a factory reset keeps the /data/media folder untouched, to be able to wipe, without losing the files from your internal sd, that's why i suggested a wipe of the internal sd, not a factory reset.

I've never done this before so please bear with me.
Is there anything specific I need to do before I wipe the internal sd? I've backed up the cwm zips that i need and the efs folder. anything else to keep me from bricking my phone?
A link to a guide of some kind would be very helpful.
1. backup efs and cwm backups to extsd
2. remove extsd
3. boot into cwm recovery, wipe internal sd
4. insert extsd and flash cyanogen 10.1.3 and gapps from it using cwm recovery.
does this sum it up or am i missing something?
Sorted it out:
1. backup to extsd
2. download & copy megawipe to extsd
3. copy roms & gapps to extsd
4. boot into cwm recovery. install megawipe from extsd. DO NOT RESTART.
5. install rom & gapps from extsd and reboot.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258723
I never flashed a rom before but I saw how to do this.
I wiped my caches and wiped deta factory, then I went to select zip files from sd card and there was nothing.
I tried after the wiping to add the ROM file to my sd card again but still i cant choose anything, i dont even see the zip file.
im rooted i have galaxy s3 4.2.2.
Please i really want this rom, and help me step by step because im new to this.
And i would like to know if there is an easy way to do this.
You must put the zip on the internal sd of the phone. CWM not see the externel sd.

Actually i dont know.
Is that next to the sim card?
And if i dont have it i cant flash a rom?
You can flash a rom. Try to put the zip in the clockworkmod folder. Don't do a full wipe until flash. Wipe cash partition and in advance menu from CWM wipe dalvik cash. After flash do a full wipe.

I used ODIN to flash my tab and installed TWRP 2.2.0 on it, but the i accidently wiped enerything from the internal storage and lost the flashable_superuser.zip file that is needed to. Now I can't access the sd card or internal storage to put the file back. So what do I do? Through the damn thing in the garbage... i just want a working tablet....:crying:

Did you wipe system as well? Seeing that you wiped internal storage it wouldn't hurt to reflash stock ROM with Odin since there's nothing to lose. You can also use adb to push the file to the sdcard.
