Hi there,
I have a weird Samsung phone - galaxy trend (GT-S7560) which is stuck in a boot loop. It started after I have replaced the screen due to a cracked screen. I was trying to boot it in a recovery mode, which seems to be both volume buttons + menu + power but it doesn't boot to recovery mode. I could only get it to boot in downloading mode (volume down + menu + power) but dont know what to do from there.
I have tried Kies, its stuck on connecting screen.
ADB doesn't seem to work either.
I'm clueless and frustrated. Please help
Many thanks!

One thing I forgot to mention is that when I was replacing digitizer on that phone the flex was sort of in the wrong place. Honestly it was almost 1 cm to the right as compared to the original and it didnt fit smoothly into the connector because the cable path was angled instead of straight. Could that be the boot loot problem? I have ordered a new digitizer already. Just need to wait 2 weeks :s
I think it's lcd with touch screen connection problem or not working touch screen/lcd . I has about 5 phones in this month (7560 & 7562) with broken lcd or touch screen and some of them after replacement was working, some not. And I changed again touch screen/lcd to new one, then I got them working. After that I've checked one of working phone, just disconnected touch screen from lcd a got boot loop. When I connected touch screen back to lcd, phone booted normally. So you have to wait for a new digitizer and then I hope your problem will be solved.
BR
Trust me...
The digitizer is the problem.
I am encountering this problem 5th time (all of them, I changed digitizers... until the cable fit correctly, It will stay on samsung logo)
The digitizer is the problem. for sure !!
This problem was driving me crazy until I found this post! My Trend was working flawlessly before replacing a cracked digitizer and after replacement I faced a boot-loop, reinstalled stock firmware with Odin but nothing helped.
Now I'm waiting for a new replacement digitizer, I have to say that the non-working one was NOT original.

i found the solution my friend, you have to let the phone boot with the old digitizer, then when the boot its complete, remove the lcd and digitizer, replace with the new digitizer but be carefull the phone has to stay on .and conect back the lcd and its works but if you reboot the phone will stuck again.this is my short fix.
i hope i helped

This is not a Solution bro... its just a confirmation that, the digitizer is the problem... doing your such suggested fix i think is a total waste of time and effort you may even end up breaking the phone because of hot plugin

Ok, a bit akward. I think i bricked my folio 100. I was working on upgrading to honycomb, i did some things wrong i think. Problem is now when i boot the screen stays black and only the power led goes on. Any idea where i shuld search to try and get it back to live?
if you can boot into fastboot you might be able to save your devise by pushing the revovery and rom to ur devise
I cant get into fastboot, i dont even get the toshiba logo.

Did you try to connect to fastboot? Maybe your screen is broken (or if you are lucky the screen connector is loose). Does it vibrate when you turn it on?
It is very improbable to brick this device by flashing something. At least I never heard of it. Only thing known to me to fully brick your folio is by pressing 4x Power and volume down on boot (don't try that...).
When i press the power button it does nothing, only the power led on the right turns green (white when on AC ).
Also, when i connect it to usb and do a fastboot devices i get no respons. Realy think i did something wrong and bricked it :S

did u try removing the battery?.. or maybe the reset pinhole at the back?.. who knows it might work..
I brick my Folio too, and now it don't have logo when power on.
I tried to get battery off and press the reset on the back, and nothing happened.
How to rescue a fully brick folio?

apologize for interfering & oftop, but certainly cant keep silence - "impossible to brick" - same i was told abt my dell streak device, but here I'm with bricked device on hands, where only ORT-JTAG can help :-(
it was bricked when PC hanged during rom flashing....so I guess every chance is possible :-(
Shidima_101 can you describe in detail before/during brick ?
Well, I'm not really sure what i did. And i think that is the problem. I was installing a new rom, and left it unattended. When I came back, something was wrong and I started messing with some options. Witch turned out to be wrong i guess
Tho I'm a little further now. When I connect the tablet I my pc recognizes its there a device, but I'm not sure I can get it working again. Tomorrow I have some time to look at it more.
Sader0 can you give me some info on ORT-JTAG? Do you know if its possible to do this on the Folio100 ? I don't mind opening up the tablet to get it back in to working order.
I'm in the same situation.
After the update to the last version, my folio apparently boot but the screen is blank. The backlight is on but nothing appears on the screen.
I'm able to go in Fastboot or in recovery mode, but formatting cache. system and reflashing different roms do not solve the issue
What I should do ?
SOLVED !

Not sure if I can even get to fastboot, but ill give it a try tomorrow. Im at my work now and didnt bring the tablet
bricked
I ****ed up? 4x power button, Ar there solutions?

Ok, I have a small update. After trying a lot of different stuff, and nothing working, I decided to bring my tablet back to the store. First I tried to get them to switch my device for a new one, but that was a no go. So the device was returned to Toshiba for a check up and fix.
I was a little afraid that they would find out that i rooted and bricked my device, but today I got a letter telling me I can come pick it up and it was fixed free of charge
So tomorrow I'm going back to pick up my tablet
Today pressed the home button to turn screen of as per usual, and went to turn it back on to get into phone, and nothing happened...
ive tried taking the battery out, plugging into power, booting into recovery.
nothing...
it does have custom rom installed (omega 33.2)
help would be grand right about now :/
cheers,
Are you sure it didn't run out of battery ?

cheers guys, took it into vodafone yesterday and their sending it off to samsung, sounds like the ultimate sudden death issue, but cracked the screen a few weeks prior so hopefulyl samsumg dont try pin it on user error, see what happens i guess
Hey everybody,
Recently, I got a bricked Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100 - International) from my brother. He told me that it suddenly began rebooting randomly, when writing SMS or browsing the web, and after some time, it could not boot into android OS (stock ICS). He has not flashed or did anything unusual to his phone, it seems that the phone bricked out of the blue.
As mentioned earlier, I cannot boot into android. The phone reboots itself as soon as Samsung Galaxy logo appears. On the other side, I can boot into the Odin-mode (Download-mode) and recovery. The weird thing is that I can only access recovery and Odin-mode when the phone is connected via USB.
Odin-mode works without a hitch. Although in the recovery mode, the phone reboots itself randomly (sometimes after 2 seconds or even 10 seconds). Therefore the only way, I can install or do something with my phone is via Odin.
I have tried replacing stock recovery (the one that comes with ICS) with CWM recovery (varying from v4 to v6) without any luck (CWM also rebooted randomly). Afterwards, I have tried following this guide "Fix an unflashable or soft bricked GSII":
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
I have succesfully managed to carry out everything in this guide (first with "ICS version" and afterwards with "Gingerbread version"). But the problem remains unsolved. The phone still cannot manage to boot up before it restarts and recovery reboots randomly. Do you have any suggestions what to do (without throwing the phone out )?
Thanks in advance
Go to download mode and flash stock 4.1.2 from sammobile.

Thanks for your quick response . I tried it without any luck. I was thinking: Could a faulty battery be causing all this? (even though when connected to USB the symbol shows that it is 100 % full)
Does it work ok with charger plunged in? How old is the phone/battery

With the charger plugged in, I can only access Odin-mode and partially recovery mode (because the phone begins randomly to reboot). The phone cannot boot into the normal Android OS, since as mentioned earlier, it reboots as soon as Galaxy logo appears.
Without the charger plugged in, the phone is completely dead. I can then access neither Odin-mode nor Recovery.
The phone is app. 1 and a half year old, while the battery has been replaced by warranty about 6 months ago (The warranty has recently expired).
Can you get a battery with out buying one? Test it with new battery. Has it bin dropped or water damage?

The phone has some minor screen cracks on the side, but they appeared long time ago (almost just after my brother bought it) and the phone has fully functioned until a couple of weeks ago.
Talking of the battery, I could eventually try ordering a replacement battery from ebay. But I would only receive it in about 2 weeks.
Do you have any other tricks left up your sleeve? Or should I just go and order a new battery?
Can you flash in with odin? Thinking about it if it crashes half way thought then its definitely dead. Will it stay on if you put it in download mode or does it switch off

Its Definately a Hardware Problem
As You Said Captain :
Your Phone is-
1/2yrs old (Not Bad)
6 Months old Battery (Warranty)
Completely Dead without Charger (Not Sure About this... it can be a [Battery] or a [Mother Board] issue)
Screen Cracks (Signifies that the phone has been dropped several times and might have damaged the interior parts)
Boots again and again (Must be because the phone has lost some registry files for Boot or this might be a Hardware issue)
Cannot Boot into Android (Definately a Mother Board issue or can even be a fault in software)
If you take a look at all this... this is really very excessive. The phone is in a really bad taste (as all its hardware might be damaged inside) ... If you have tried everything at your level best to change the software, and it dint work. Then this is surely a Hardware problem. Check your Hardware, Mainly the Battery (Even if you got it 6 months before) & the Mother Board. You will definately find a problem in any of these Hardwares inside.
Regards

The phone does not crash/reboot, when it is put in download mode. The download mode functions normally. I can flash the phone without a hitch. :fingers-crossed:

Well, I hope it is a minor problem or something with the battery, or else I would need to spend all my life savings in order to buy a new motherboard (It sucks to live on student grants)
Flash with odin. Keep trying if it holds power. May be a faulty recovery making it reboot.
Try changing Software Before doing any Hardware Changes

hmm... So i guess its better you first try changing the software (as download mode runs well). If everything you tried fails... Then you better change the Hardware (I recommend)

Yer I guess so
I replaced screen today but for some reason I am only getting the Galaxy Mega boot screen then it vibrates twice and loops and I have to do a battery pull in order to turn it off. I cant get into recovery it does the same thing but it says recovery in top corner. I tried taking back off and just removing screen ribbon and connecting old screen and it boots right up so I left it on and popped the ribbon cable and reattached the new one and it showed perfectly so I kept powered up and put back together. I messed for it a bit and tried to do a factory reset and bam boot loop again. Any ideas?
Note: this phone isn't rooted or anything.....

Well they say with 4.4 new screens don't work and I have seen youtube videos that do. Thanks for the links....
Hello guys. I am doing this thread to find some help or at least some explanation for my problem.
I will start from 0, I got a N910T model last 2 weeks since my old N910H model screen got broken.
The issue appeared randomly. First is that when I put my phone to sleep (standby) by a minute or two and when I tried to unlock it it freezes, It totally freezes without posibility to unlock and after a moment the phone turns off, or at least tries to reboot but screen always stays black, I just remove the battery and it turn on again, but after setting my password and locking the phone again it freezes again and do the same thing, I was having my phone rooted but with stock ROM using BeastMode kernel and before today my device was working awesome. After having that I just tried to go to the TWRP and delete cache, thinking that was the problem, but when I select reboot to system the screen stayed black, no Tmobile sound, no led, nothing. And then I decided to flash it through odin, but everytime the device starting installing updates it finish it but then the screen got black with no life signal. without success I decide to install a custom recovery to let the boot start and then it works, but now everytime I lock the phone again it got the same problem PLUS after a minute staying like that it boot me to download mode... while I was reading it it shows a like saying: mmc_read_fail... now i have it with wakelock powermanager app and its working fine when I lock it, but when i disable it, it throws the same problem, plus I cant reboot the phone while is on, everytime I press the reboot key it just freezes and turns black... I need help.
There's no permanent software fix for the emmc issue, it's a hardware failure. It's best if you just look for a replacement device.
EMMC Failure is fatal....
Like seriosbrad said before, the EMMC failure/error is an hardware issue. Only way to solve this problems is to replace the mainboard. I also had an EMMC error once. I had to replace my mainboard. But it's not as difficult as it sounds.. You will need only one very small screwdriver, a thin plate (to stick in the gap between screen and frame) and a new Mainboard of course
But there is no other solution, sorry....
