So I successfully restored my Vibrant with the shipping rom and it worked great. However, I still have a lot of files left over from applications that were installed. So, what is the best way to get the internal sd area cleaned back to stock? I am not sure enough of which files I can manually delete and which I shouldn't. Is there an "uninstall" program that will remove "orphaned" files etc? An un-installer that would also allow removing of the stock apps would be nice.
Thanks
Just goto settings> sd and phone storage> unmount internal sd storage> then format... That should do it.

So none of those files are "needed" by the stock rom? So you can completly erase all of the data on itand start over with installing apps?
well it will format the sdcard which means you will loose avitar movie and anything else on /sdcard and /sdcard/sd. But you answer is yes, non of those files are needed for the rom.
Thanks for the info!
Avatar is on the external sd card btw.

Hi,
Sorry, noob. please help anyway... Did scour forum and googled. Nothing I could use.
I Recently rooted my old G1 and installed a supercsdiv4 remix. Like it.
The phone has supsetup4 as an app pre-installed. Linux swap and apps2sd are options.
I activated apps2sd in supsetup. Unfortunately, some root apps with presets will not work right when installed to SD card such as autokiller and SD card speed booster, etc... In short, their presets won't stick on reboot.
I tried to fix this on my own... not good... I unchecked apps2sd and rebooted and that hosed everything up, wouldn't ever boot again... had to reinstall ROM. Ok, then... how do install these apps that NEED to be in the phones memory - in the phones memory - and make sure they are not moved by the apps2sd of supsetup4 on reboot?
If I just uncheck the apps2sd box in supsetup4 without a reboot, then install the root apps, will that do the trick ?
Thanks,
B

Use Titanium Backup to convert them to system apps.
Thanks. That worked for most of the apps. I still can't get autokiller to behave for some reason.
Thanks, same for me!
hi
after installing cyanogen 10 on my s3 i need to restore my apps.
before flashing i use titanium backup to make a backup which is on my external sd card.
however when i try to load it on titanium backup it won t let me. it says that it cannot be accessed. also ive tried moving the backup to the internal storage and it wont let me move. it tells me to change my super user settings which i cant do.
Any ideas?
thanks
Installed Titanium and Pro version yesterday morning and had no issues. Froze a few apps that I didn't use, nothing out of the norm. Installed an SD card, 16gb, it was blank and recently formatted. Last night, I noticed that when I open Titanium and press Batch or Backup/Restore, everything is blank, there are no apps there. If I go into menu and refresh apps, it says there are 233 apps loaded, but I can't see them. If I uninstall Titanium and reinstall it, I can see the apps for about 15 minutes, then they disappear again. Any ideas?

I don't have anything specific, but:
1. Did you reset your backup directory when you put the new SD card in?
2. Is your SD Card still write enabled. TiBu gave me some problems before I enable apps to write to the SD card. TiBU has been solid for me.
When I first set up my LG G3 I tried copying over the Titanium Backup data from my previous phone and restore some programs and program data that way but I also ran into problems with not all of the programs and data showing up. I don't know if it could be fixed. After it didn't work I purchased Helium Backup and it has worked very well to transfer apps and/or app data from my previous phone via Dropbox to the new phone.

I am not sure how to reset my backup directory, can you please explain that? My SD card is still write enabled, I took a picture and it did write it to the SD card.
Thank you for responding.

Thanks for responding. I actually have not even tried restoring my apps yet, I am just getting root setup and noticed this problem.

I was referring to the backup folder location. It sounded like you may have swapped the SD card and was thinking that it may be pointing to a location on the old card that isn't on the new card.

in TIBU settings, preferences, backup folder location detect, whole device and it should find everything
Set the back up directory to where ever you copied your data by:
Menu-Preferences-Backup Folder Location
I did that when setting up mine and did have problems. Some apps worked fine and others didn't. I wonder if it has anything to do with apps which installed from the play store before I tried a restore with Titanium Backup. I tried a couple of times to recopy the data to the LG G3 and set the backup directory and when I still had problems went to Helium. Maybe I could have gotten to work if I hadn't given up relatively quickly.
Titanium Backup has been working well for backing up programs after setting up the LG G3. The only problem I'm having is that there is a program which I prefer an older version of to the current version. I keep detaching the program from the market with Titanium Backup but every couple of days the link gets reestablished and I'm prompted to update the program.

It's saying nothing is detected, but now everything is showing up again. It's very odd. Thanks, hopefully that fixed it.
Hello everyone,
I'm hoping you can help me with an issue I'm having with Titanium Backup not being able to see old backups. I just reflashed stock de-odexed 5.0.1 using Flashfire. In Flashfire I set it to wipe 3rd party apps before flashing. The flash went fine and my phone went through the setup fine, and I chose not to restore all my app/setting from Google. All the TB backups were still on my SD card and I set the backup location in TB to the old directory on my SD card. But my problem is when I got to restore user apps in TB, it can't see any of the old backups in the TB directory on my SD card. Anyone else ever experience this? Did you find a way to fix it so TB could see all the old backups?
Thanks.
Eric
I'm guessing it's related to 5.0.1 not allowing access to your external SD card. Try running SD Fix, available in the app store. Be sure to reboot after you run the app. Hopefully, this will fix the problem!

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked into that, but it didn't fix anything.
I'm having this issue too, you're not alone. I recently flashed Hyperdrive RLS21 over stock rooted MJ7 and TB could not see my user apps backup on the external SD card... Very weird. I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
