water or something on the screen. wipe it and u will be ok.
If this not the case, do you have screen protector which u applied recently?

Does the screen click by itself in the same spot?
Maybe you can go into service menu and do screen test?

It's a very sensitive screen, and this'll happen if it's too dirty. Clean it then see. If it still happens, you need warranty repair.

Hard key buttons of my neo v is discoloured. Can it be replaced? Any idea, any one?
I recently ordered the black and blue one for my neo v which was originally white and had started showing signs of use or I'd rather say misuse.
I got this one for Rs.790 and it looks exactly like the original.

Hi,
I've just received my new body from ebay. But I have problems changing the front part of the body. I have removed the screen connection cable, the problem is that I can't understand how to remove the camera and the plastic in front of the screen (is this the digitizer?). I would be very happy if you could tell me/show me how to do this.

I managed to change my silver Neo V into a white one, and yeah it was hard trying to remove those pieces from the front plate: there's nothing more to it other than just slowly cutting all of it away. :/ But I did read somewhere that adding some heat to it (i.e. use a hairdryer) helped to loosen up the glue holding it together.

Galaxy S4 Home Button making clicking noise

Just yesterday my home button started making a clicking sound. It has been dead silent and now it clicks kinda like a mouse click (not as loud) whenever I press it. If I mash hard on it it will be silent for a few minutes, but then it start clicking again. The Wife's phone is quiet.... both bought same day. Anyone else experience this? It is annoying me as it makes the phone sound cheap, and makes me feel it is going to fail on me based on almost the same scenario with my iPhone 4 that did fail after making a random noise one day.

Same thing here. Had the phone about a month and this started. Phone is rooted, so taking it back to Verizon is out. I just ordered a white home button online. Supposedly this phone is super easy to take apart and replace parts. We'll see.

Mine isn't rooted and I have the insurance + warranty on it. I may call and see what they say. A few guys around me in my group here at work don't have this issue. I've had this phone since launch day, FWIW.

I would definitely bring it back then. I just don't want to go through the hassle of unrooting and possibly getting an ME7 phone that does not have a working recovery as of yet.

Rooting is not important to me. My phone is a work device and security reasons we can't have a rooted phone (B.S. if you ask me), so I play along nicely and do all my updates and keep it unmodified (except for developer access).

I just called and ordered a replacement. I am not worried about refurbs as a lot of the times they are better than new in my experience in being in the industry for a few years. I pressed the button down and stuck the corner of a business card in and ran it around the circumference of the button with a little bit of the card going up under the case a bit. This seems to have resolved the issues.... but just in case i have an overnight-ed replacement coming tomorrow.
Never mind. It's back. Glad I ordered a replacement now.

I did this as well. Really wedged the business card on all sides and got the card up under the button. Hasn't clicked for over two weeks now. Something from my pocket must have gotten under there.

Don't worry, there is a fix!! I had this same problem on my S4 and I have horrible OCD so this was not kosher. I found that the cause for the clicking is the button sticking, causing it to click when you press on it. All you need to do is get an electronics cleaning cloth, a business card, and some hand sanitizer. This will save you from having to send the phone in for repair or get a refurbished device.
Put some hand sanitizer on the cleaning cloth. Not too much, just enough to make it damp.
Put the cloth over the business card
Use the combination of the cloth and the card and using a little pressure, stick it between the button and the case and go all the way around the button.
If you didn't fix it the first time around, repeat until you are able to press the button without a click.
Note -- If you are mental, and use too much hand sanitizer you will damage your phone. You just need the cloth to be damp. I use hand sanitizer because it dries extremely fast. I am NOT responsible if you screw up your phone.
Happy cleaning
I have this as well! I thought it was because I went to the beach and got a tiny grain of sand beneath the button but I guess it happens to everyone!

Apart from the fact that I don't understand how your phone could be off when you're posting with it...
Have you tried to reflash with the PC Companion software?
Or maybe with flashtool?
This is the one problem I don't want to face, buying my phone from abroad.
I know Sony will fix it anyway under warranty, but it will obviously not an immediate exchange...

Ecery single topic or post about this problem is about the 3G version, so I tend to think it could be that the FW wasn't that ready.

yeah, after seeing all these posts about this issue, I am definately going to wait until there is a "official" version released for USA carriers...
Strange, I went into a t-Mobile store today, to ask about the XZU, and they had an "plain" Experia on display, with the same problem....makes me wonder is this is a problem with alot of the current Sony phones..
Hi guys, I think i know what cause the issue, it's the auto lighting setting.
I tried with my wife phone and I off the auto lighting in display setting and the issue is gone.... Then just now when I try to on back the auto lighting, then the issue is back again...

It seems that any way that's not the default one (i.e. the same way the phone shipped) interferes with something in the system...
Maybe that's something our devs could look in?
I mean, a 0 or a 1 in the wrong place (maybe triggered by the auto lighting on/off) could result in this issue...

Digitizer issue

I have my xt910 for about a year now (bought it brand new) and I have spotted some digitizer issues. Before rooting my device I've noticed that sometimes the recognized touch point was far away from the actual touch point. It actually was at the same vertical line, but far higher. Imagine pressing the space virtual key and the recognized touch is about at the middle of the screen.
So one of my first moves was to root the device, as I thought it would be a software issue.(Here in Greece the device won't upgrade to the official 4.1) Still no luck though after trying several ROMs, so my second thought was the scratched screen protector that I had from the first day I bought it. After replacing it, still the problem persists...
What else should I try to fix this??
PS1: It doesn't do this all the time, but randomly, and it randomly fixes itself.
PS2: When it does it, I think it recognizes 2 spots, the actual touch point and one more above that.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Does this happen when running on battery or while plugged in the charger?
My phone previously used to sense the touch wrongly but only when it was plugged in to power. I changed my charger and things are good!

Is there a way to unroot without leaving any proof behind, so that motorola don't know about that? Otherwise the guaranty won't be valid...
Thanks.

As long as your bootloader is still locked then your warranty is good. Do you have an unlocked bootloader?

I had to send my phone in to get a replacement so what I did was delete all the data and cache from my rooted apps before deleting them. I also went into my file manager and deleted all files that had anything to do with root off my system and finally re flashed via RSD lite. That got rid of root access but idk about the bootloader cause mine is locked still.

That should work for you. I had an incredible 2 with unlocked bootloader that I had to send it for a warranty issue and I just used an unroot method. I'm guessing it worked cause I never got charged for the new phone or anyone contacting me about it. I didn't use RSD though. The unroot method never said anything about locking the bootloader again, just removing root access. I'm assuming it locked it though. I would look into if RSD will lock the bootloader again if you were to flash back to stock.

S3 Screen not turning on.

I bought a S3 from someone and he said that the phone needs to be re-flashed. when the phone turns on, it boots up fines. blue light at top, Samsung boot sound, the touch works as u can hear the water effects thing to unlock the phone. he claims he tried the LCD in another S3 motherboard and the LCD works, I don't know if he's telling the truth or not. Can a software cause the screen to not turn on. doesn't turn on at all. I flashed a stock rom with ODIN and did factory reset in recovery mode. i can also go in download mode as well. the phone works well, i used the POWER + HOME buttons to take snapshops on the screen to kinda browse through the phone, everything works, WIFI, bluetooth. it's not picking up signal tho. it's saying "Not registered on network" when i try to make a call, but it recognizes my sim card and stuff. anyways I don't know if he indeed went into the phone's root system files and messed something up or not. please help !

both in the phone in settings and the back on the sticker. they match
Ok. You could try another flash after clean wipe. Back up your efs first. And remember back up is important.

OK guys good new . i was messing around a lil bit with the power button and by pressing it for a while before inserting battery and also pressing the power button for a few seconds after inserting, playing around both of those option eventually the screen turned on to samsung galaxy s3 screen then it went blank again. also the menu n back soft keys lighted up and started working again. after removing the battery and reinserting, went back to its original issue. atleast now i know the LCD is indeed working . maybe it is a firmware/software issue after all. please someone help!

If the pwr button is stuck, it might restart on itself or not turn on.
