Are you saying the button that you press after putting in the wrong password a few times to reset the password, or get rid of your password altogether?
I don't think you can get rid of the button. If you need to get rid of the password, just use the button I mentioned.

[Urgent] PIN LOCK - Omega v42 - Help!!

I enabled the pin lock for my phone..and accidently i might have typed in the pin too fast and got it wrong... Once i locked it I can't get back in again as it keeps saying..Incorrect pin.. After 15 attempts it says "Try again after 30 seconds" and this goes on.. Please help me! this is urgent! :crying:
It won't even show a "Forgot pin option or a restore option with Google account"
I'm using Omega v42
Not sure which pin lock you are referring to, but just go in to recovery and factory reset.
which will remove all the apps and data

Yup it did, that's why I was hoping if anyone could come up with some other way of doing it..
Anyway thanks nonetheless
There is no other way - if you choose a security feature, you expect it to offer some countermeasure. As you have found.
Don't forget to hit thanks...
could've tried formatting /system and reflashing the rom - should've worked, and the apps would be intact

Be **MUCH MORE** specific. Is it the password to your SIM, your lockscreen, encryption password or what?

Root to unlock phone

I'm new to this, and I just wonder if I can unlock a phone and make it usable again if the original owner doesn't know his gmail password? I would be happy to try the root option, but is that the only option at this point?

Hint: Google FRP bypass + your model.
In any case, if owner forgot his password it should be fairly easy to retrieve
You can, it depends on the model but almost all model enter in recovery by shutting down the phone and then press volume down and power button, if it's samsung then home button too. After you enter the recovery just factory reset

Ok thanks for your help.
Also, do you know if the textnow phones are able to be used under another carrier like AT&T? Does this require a root?

root doesn't unlock anything but access to all of the files in the phone, the system files, similar to the windows folder in microsoft windows. it's not some kind of magic, you still need to know the password of the phone if you want to use it.

Forgot find my device password.

Hi I lost my phone few days ago but I was able to find it however before finding my device I locked it using find my device password. Now the problem is I cant remember the password I set for it. And there is no option to either change or remove password. I cant hard reset my phone either because it asks for the screen lock password and I dont remember that either. So what should I do? Am I locked out for good should I buy new phone? What should I do? Thanks

This password could be everything, tho, did you unlock your device? If yes, it's probably asking for the Mi password you used to unlock your device.
