my HTC HD2 keep flashing on HTC green logo here's the thing i did before this happened:
1) after having hanged most of the time because of having full internal memory (holding power button "HARD RESET")
2) holding power button and enter into the 1-10 options i dont know what you guys call them but there is a 1-10 option and what i did was do the factory reset and ask me to wipe all the files and hit ok, and some running deleting and i dont know what to call them then it reboot then suddenly it just keep restarting on HTC green logo.
i actually go to the other shop that they said they can repair this kind of problem and i watch them on their computer they just keep searching and posting on the other site asking for help so i said to the technician, we're wasting both our time waiting for your help in the other sites so ask them can you give me back my phone pls. and here i am found the XDA forum so decided to register and look for your genius help i know you guys are pro when it comes to this kind of problem can someone help me pls this phone is all i got, got no money to buy another phone this is like a treasure to me since i dont have a job,

someone help me pls
i will give you any information that you needed in my HTC as long as you help me how to do it im totally noob.
I think you have a nand rom if so tr doing a clean install.
1. Flash a stock WM6.5 rom
2. Flash magldr (which i think u have) or BlackCLK (I personally prefer this for android on NAND and if not dualbooting)
3. Find a cool rom in the NAND section, Flash it and enjoy.
Let me know if you need more info.
reflash with stock rom t-mbole,

THanks for your very helpful reply sorry for being noob what is stock WM6.5? magldr or BlackCLK? cool rom? I think you have a nand rom if so tr doing a clean install? what is TR? help me pls i need a step by step guide? i really appreciate your reply this means to me thanks.
Before you start READ THIS. The default os the HD2 comes with is known as Windows mobile 6.5. The developers at XDA have managed to make android work on this device using special secondary bootloaders which need to be flashed(installed) on the HD2.
There are two of them, one is MAGLDR made by cotulla which is the one you have i think (the numbers with options when it starts) the other is CLK which is open source. These bootloaders allow you to boot an Android rom (the os).
Before we start download and install Windows mobile device center on your PC. Once done follow the steps.
Step1 - WINDOWS MOBILE
a. First we are going to put the HD2's default os WM6.5 (THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING) Download this
b. Turn off your phone, hold the volume down and power button until it shows a screen with three colors (Bootloader).
c. Connect your phone to the PC (Where it says SERIAL on your phone it should change to USB) and run the file you downloaded in "a" and follow the instructions it says.
d. The phone will reboot after the process and boot the os.
Step 2 - secondary Bootloaders
Just to be sure before you start this go in to the tricolored screen It should say 2.08HSPL somewhere if it doesn't DO NOT continue. If it does continue on.
This where you have 2 options one is MAGLDR and the other is CLK (I prefer BlackCLK since you can easily congfiure it to modify the sizes of system and data without a PC). If you'd like magldr try this video it should help
BlackCLK - Download
a. Format an SD card and copy the LEOIMG.nbh from the zip to SD.
b. Put it in the HD2 and boot into the tri colored screen.
c. It should say something to flash it, follow what it says.
d. Once done reboot. it'll say something cannot be found and go to a menu. if your reach it YAY. Volume keys to move and green key to select
Since you have t-mobile you have enough storage space unlike european hd2
so we'll skip dataonEXT (basically moves data to a secondary partition on your sd) if you want it let me know.
INSTALLING android
a. Find a nice rom (os) in the android nand section since you were on 2.3 you can continue with it or try 4.2 (jellybean) rom Good fast roms are pixelfreaks, nexushd2(from tytung) or most of the older 2.3 roms.
b.1 Once you find one you like download it and copy it (the .zip file) to your sd and put it in your hd2.
b.2. Each rom has size requirements for system and cache (it says it on the thread for the rom).
c. GO to settings ---> resize partition set system and cache according to required by the rom save/apply it. go back format nand. then reboot
c. go to recovery, once loaded click install and choose your rom and follow the instructions it says.
d. reboot and you should be good to go.

Thanks for your reply man i really really appreciate this, im gonna try this one my wife want to try the jellybean since its new  is jellybean a fast rom? anyway how do i know if the file is in correct hash or not corrupted? i read some forums some files are corrupted? what do you recommend me i would like a fast rom instead? does it need a 100% battery?
(Just to be sure before you start this go in to the tricolored screen It should say 2.08HSPL somewhere if it doesn't DO NOT continue. If it does continue on) *what should i do if not 2.08 HSPL?
what should i do to know the verison of my HSPL?

If you do not have HSPL2.08 (most likely you'll have it since you already had MAGLDR) you should Flash HSPL 2.08
Well not quite sure which rom is the best but, i have tried Pixel freaks AOKP and Slim ROM, they both are 4.2.2 and were pretty good but you'll have to find one which suits you.

The READ THIS part was for Basic Info.
Yeah your HSPL stuff seems fine
And yes it will remove MAGLDR and in the end youll eventually be using clk (latest one which i put the link for is CLK 1.5.x.) I dont think it'll matter that much since you aren't dual booting (WP7 and android) and have android on NAND(The phone itself). If you want to use MAGLDR over CLK follow the video and Not the CLK part
should i start now?
so should i start now the process that you told me?
i read the some info in clk does it auto configure by default?
"Changed some options under SETTINGS.
Added option to use inbuilt off-mode charging under SETTINGS/SET DEFAULT OFF-MODE CHARGING. From that menu you can select it (option USE INBUILT OFF-MODE CHARGING) and try it out.
If using inbuilt off-mode charging the device wakes up if you press POWER [button].
This is an experimental feature! Only tested with original battery and charger.
High Voltage (as measurement) is set to 4.2 V. Use at your own risk! Otherwise stick to the default way of charging (option USE RECOVERY'S OFF-MODE CHARGING).
Usb detection function changed (option under SETTINGS/ENABLE USB DETECTION). "USB" mark at the bottom of the screen if device connected to pc is replaced by turning led on/off if connected/disconnected.
Added some code as an experiment for a potential off-mode alarm application.
More info in this thread.
Warning : I didn't know java or how to use eclipse and make an android app. Seriously, I still don't. But after some days I managed to write this application mostly because I wanted to know if this idea was possible. So consider it as an example. Any criticism accepted. I just hope that someone may find it useful and make the best out of it."
i dont want to take the risk can you help me configure it to "ALL" default? i know you 're the one who can help me.
<in your previous post what do you mean by this?>
and also d. Once done reboot. it'll say something cannot be found and go to a menu. "if your reach it YAY". Volume keys to move and green key to select? (if i reach it'll say something cannot be found and go to menu? it means i did something bad? or its normal to reach on that scenario?)

i just want to ask which folder should i put the LEOIMG.nbh?
what format of sd card? fat32?
what version of clk that i shall download? stable, legacy or experimental?
which one should i download?
Quote:
cLK (source code)
Experimental
Stable
Legacy
Quote:
ppp wrappers (source code)
0.8b4
0.8b5
where do i download the new clk version?
thanks man
The default CLK settings are fine as they are, the only things you will need to change will be the the partition sizes (system and cache depending on the rom).
Put LEOIMG.nbh on the root not in any folders
Sdcard should be formatted FAT32
CLK Experimental (Although its pretty stable). The latest version is the one i have put the BlackCLK download link for.

you mean just copy the LEOIMG.nbh in sd ok, just in the root of the sd what formating tools?
why do i need to change the partition size i read in forum the minimum is 220mb? is ok?
thank you bro
Just regular format the sd through windows fat32.
The Partition size thing is for the PHONE not the SD. Each rom requires different SYSTEM sizes, like for example even though the minimum is 220mb you might want to add more in case you plan on adding stuff to system like GAPPS (Google apps) or any mods.
The reason for this is because even though your phone has 1gb Storage internal you will need to tell it how much each part of it should be used by system, cache (some is used by the recovery) and the remaining will be DATA( where your installed apps go).
When you first put CLK it will have some other system size (150mb i think) set so you'll need to change it.
Sorry forgot this part in the main guide. But if you want to increase you storage you will need to partition your sd card in the recovery before you flash your rom. First partiton -Fat32 and second as partition as EXT4, the size of your EXT4 will be added to your phone and will be counted as internal storage and then while flashing the rom choose with DataonExt. If you dont really care about this just ignore this.
P.S. Ohh in the rom installation IF it asks for PPP or RMNET choose PPP, RMNET is only for MAGLDR.

oh ok thanks for this wonderful info.
you mean it is rooted automatically?
is it ok if im only using 2gb sd?
and what if i want to repartition the sd card anytime?
All hd2 roms are rooted.
2GB for what, DataonExt?(for data one ext to work youll need to have a second ext partition)
well its best to do it before installation and choose that option while installing the rom, if not you can do it after but it sometimes doesnt work with some roms. You can partition the sdcard later ( so with 2 gb youll want to make 1 gb ext and the remaining 1Gb will be your ext or whaterver is left), but then youl have to flash a dataonext zip (the v2).
But its best to do this before hand althought the best option for tmobile hd2's is just nand (without dataonext,, data onext is usually for EU hd2's since they have smaller storages.), also to use dataonext it needs a fast sdcard otherwise it can slightly slow down the rom(cause the apps will be running of the sd).

my phone has only 576mb (t-mobile) do i have to partition my phone also?
sd card 2 gb.
anyway if i use the partition right after i install the rom the 1 gb isa fat32 and the other 1 gb for ext? so my question is the rom will create the ext system file? because windows doesnt have ext.
so do i have to use this partition thing? its kinda complicated like y ou said im using t-mobile can i skip this partition? or it is necessary to install a rom?
additional info for my phone: sim locked, not yet unlock
can you also help me to sim unlock?
thanks man! God bless!
576mb is RAM which both T-mboile and EU hd2's have, the only difference is T-mobile has 1GB ROM/NAND (the storage) while EU has 512mb.
Just wondering you phone does say T-mobile and has a green call key and red end key right???
First off the phone partition thing is different compared to sd. For the phone look at the system size and cache size required for the rom and resize those in CLK.
Second you can skip the SD partitioning its not a highly required especially for t-mobile I just added that as an extra.
Third Try experimenting you'll never get anywhere if you dont try .
And i have no idea about simlock try googling it

ok my phone is HTC 8525, with WM 6.1 professional . It worked fine for 3 days then it start freezing , before it does that a blue background will appeare ,then it will not let me do anything at all . When I try to touch an icon, it will say something like invalid location or could not find target . I have to hard reset it. sometimes I have to reset it 4 or 5 times a day . , In addition, the mini card will freeze the whole phone is there is a solution like reinstall the whole thing ? please help me I truly appricat it . In addition, the mini card will freeze the whole phone is there is a solution like reinstall the whole thing ?
Hmmm, "the mini card will freeze the whole phone"??? Are you referring to the SD Storage Card? Do you have any volatile data stored on the card? Any Today Screen Applications?
If this is the case, try shutting off the phone and removing the card. Then place the card into a card reader, and plug it into your PC. Make a folder on the desktop of your PC, and COPY all the contents of the SD card to the folder.
Now, reformat the SD card in your PC, as FAT32, and default for all characteristics.
Once reformatted, copy all that stuff back onto the SD card from the temp folder on your desktop, making sure everything is returned to it's original locations. Pop the SD card back into your phone and see if it's fixed. Sometimes, corrupted space on the SD card will make the phone behave very badly. Hopefully, this procedure might fix it for you.
-pvs
Yes Sir, i apaologize , i was refering to the SD card . i am just tierd resetting the phone every 4 hrs . do you recomend any shops that can fix the soft -ware . i notices when i start the phone and i go to clean tmp it will say" 8 Fils and 4 folders of 656 Bytes cleard ! . then 5 hrs later the blue screen comes back
After doing what pvs said, and if you still have problems I'd check for bad blocks with MTTY... I would also ,after confirming no bad blocks, would flash a stock rom then reflash wm 6.1 and see if that helps... Cheers...
Wow , how to do all that if you dont mind me asking , actually i took the SD card out i am not in need for it at the moment . can you please help me to do what you said and i truly appreciat it , Great thanks for both of you gents
pvs already says what to do in his previous post...
To check for bad blocks follow this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377389
To Flash a stock rom you need to know what carrier the phone was on. Download the wm6 update from their site and, Making sure you have Hard SPLed your phone, I suggest flashing via the sd card method. Its safer than flashing through pc.
Format sd card fat32. copy .nbh file of the stock rom (you may have to search for it) onto the sd card and rename to "hermimg.nbh". Put back in hermes and reset to bootloader (power button, OK button above flywheel and soft reset with stylus. Hold all buttons until it goes to tri-colour screen). It should recognise the os flash and load up a screen showing 1st boot screen, 2nd boot screen, gsm And os (or something like that as cooked roms don't generally have the gsm part). MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY!!!!! Follow the prompts... I generally use the sd card method to flash ALL my roms so I don't have problems like usb disconnecting or pc rebooting/hanging or power failures.
Hope this helps you out, Cheers...
BASELABBAS ... Please describe what you are doing when you say that you are "HARD-RESETTING" several times a day. Are you:
1) poking the stylus into the hole at the base of the unit?
- or -
2) holding down the two soft-keys WHILE poking the stylus into the hole until the confirmation screen appears, and then opening the keyboard and typing 'R' and then [SPACEBAR]?
If you are doing the first ... this is called a SOFT reset. The second is a HARD-RESET, and will wipe the phone clean of ANYTHING outside of what came with the ROM itself.
Since you have posted that you already removed the SD Card from the device, and can (for the time-being) live without it, I recommend you do an ACTUAL Hard Reset (backup anything you need to keep first) via step #2 above, and then be patient about installing any apps. I wouldn't do anything more than sync it up via ActiveSync with your contacts for the first few of days. If things start to go crazy without any third-party apps installed, then I would look into the steps that ultramag69 has suggested ... starting with a flash to a stock ROM.
WM6.1 has been a bit shaky on our Hermes thus far. Some people are getting good results, but a lot of others are having issues like you are describing. I would suspect that your ROM might not be a good match, before I'd suspect bad blocks at this point (and it's a bit easier to test for).
If the stock rom does better on your device, you can try flashing back up to a WM6.1 ROM after that. And if you haven't already, make sure that you have installed HARDSPL before doing any of this stuff.
Good luck,
-pvs
Mr. pvs , I am doing the #2 holding down the two soft-keys WHILE poking the stylus into the hole until the confirmation screen appears, and then opening the keyboard and typing 'R' and then [SPACEBAR]. OK, well that's definitely a Hard Reset. So your WM6.1 Rom is acting flaky right aftwerwards, eh? I would say it's time to try a different ROM, as we've been discussing above.

No ... try Hard-SPL-V7.zip found at the bottom of THIS PAGE. I THINK you can flash it via the SD method if ActiveSync isn't working for you (if not, somebody please correct me). To do this, open the downloaded ZipFile with WinZip or WinRAR and copy the file inside named RUU_signed.nbh to your desktop. Rename it HERMIMG.NBH, and copy it to the root of your freshly reformatted (FAT32) Storage Card. Put the Storage Card into your device and press the side OK button and the power button simultaneously while resetting with the stylus until the tri-color screen appears and turns white. The device will find the HERMIMG.NBH file and offer to upgrade by pressing the Power Key. This will install HardSPL onto your device without the need for ActiveSync. You can also flash ROMs in this manner.
Again, good luck,

No, You need to run a file from the phone itself to install hard SPLvia sd card. You can find it on page 116 of the hard SPL or how not to brick your hermes thread.

Ok so first is first.. I did read the wiki and I have searched.. even posted in a rom 3.42.50 post (i think that was it) but no replies...
so in that other post I followed the instructions.... I used a 512mb micro sd and a 64mb micro sd....

FROM THE TITAN WIKI:
Flashing a phone with a micro SD card
1. With a card reader on your PC, format a non-SDHC (<=2GB) microSD card into FAT32 (tested to work up to a 4KB cluster size)
(the default size for a 1 GB would not work, also if it takes only a few seconds to format
try formating with some other slot/device. A 1 GB took over a minute to format correctly)
To format your Card - Open a DOS box and type/copy and paste this: ( format ?: /FS:FAT32 /A:1024 )
Replace the ? with whatever your SD cards drive letter is... ie: f, h, I.... Mine is G....
2. Copy the ROM to flash (xxxxxxxx.nbh) to the root of the microSD
3. Rename the ROM xxxxxxx.nbh to TITAIMG.nbh
4. Insert your card.
5. Force into the boot loader with POWER-CAMERA-RESET
6. Follow the instructions and you'll quickly flash your Titan...
7. You may have to soft reset once it says the update is complete
(If you are using UC let the customizations run so it will read the SDConfig.txt file)
This will work to flash with an official ROM and radio, I think regardless of the boot loader you have installed. But ensure that you have the correct boot loader (olipro 2.40 for this GPS ROMs) installed for when you do eventually finish with your flashing and are ready to boot into the OS.

so i have been trying this for a while tonight.. cant get it to work...
I am getting the Loading... screen.. all grey but that is it...
512mb micro sd... TITAIMG.NBH file exists...
any ideas??
I did not install olipro 2.40... should I??
alot of views but that is it..... hmm...
ok I installed nueSPL-2.47
so now it says.,.
TITA100
SPL-2.47No2Chem Titan SPL EVT CPLD-9
still cant get it...
now trying to boot to upgrade the rom I get the reg, green, blue, white part of the screen... and it says serial....
can anyone help me???
it sounds to me like you have nueSPL installed correctly.
In the past I have had problems with formatting sd cards, the only reliable way I have found to format them so that they work for flashing roms is to use the nue format utility... it is up somewhere on nuerom.com
It will erase everything on your card, so back it up first
after the card has been formatted, copy the "TITAIMG.nbh" file to the root of the card
Put the card in your phone and reboot into bootloader mode
it should detect that there is a rom image on the card and ask you to press the power button to continue.
The flashing process takes about 1 minute to complete (so much faster than using activesync)
Once everything is done it will say something like "process complete", and then you soft reset and you are done
which rom are you trying to install?

I am glad that you were able to get it working. I enjoy flashing different roms, but am not really a nit-picky user.
I fonally donated to no2chem today so that I can use his nueRom3-pre3, it is a pretty nice rom that gives you the option to disable your camera and get an extra 8 MB in free ram, I am also really liking the nueWifiSwitch. But like I said you have to donate to get the rom, and I have only been using it for 6 hours or so.
before that I was pretty much exclusively on a custom build of DCD 3.2.6, just a bare minimum rom, which I like because I flash quite often.
It does seem like people are liking the "Titan M2D Round 4 ROM" a lot. It looks pretty good, in fact it even includes a program that I made, Manilla 2D Customizer, which will let you tweak Manila 2D and apply some themes.
Good luck, and I hope flashing your rom via SD card goes a little bit smoother than your radio flash
I am sure some of you are going to read this and shake your head but I need to know what is the whole purpose of updating your ROM on your phone. I currently have a US Cellular PPC 6800 and US Cellular never has anything on their site for new and cool things for their phones. I would like to update the phone to Windows 6.1 not for any particular reason just to say I did it. Is their certain features on this phone that I am missing out on because I have a stock ROM? By upgrading my ROM what features will I be able to get or do?
Thanks for your answers.
speed, speed, more speed, memory tweaks, battery tweaks
Really. I like that. I will start reading threads and getting a better understanding of this whole ROM upgrade. Any particular ROM that someone can suggest so I can read more on it. Anyone have any good words of wisdom on things to do or avoid?
what do you like in your roms? with programs? or barebones?
See that is what I need to learn yet. The differences in the ROM's. But I would have to say I like programs.
then r4r reloaded is the way to go by scrosler or bitserve. to unlock use nuespl
I see that nueSPL-2.47 is the latest version and I assume that would be the version I would use. it says "DO NOT USE with a NON GPS RADIO (2.xx). Only use with GPS RADIOS (3.xx). A version check will be added soon." How can I verify this?
What is the actual purpose of the nueSPL?
I don't mind getting my hands dirty and doing some reading but I am very new to the whole world of upgrading my phone. The fear is if I do something wrong then I have a very expensive piece of junk. I have worked on UNIX machines for the last 15 years so if this was a computer no problems but like I said earlier I know nothing about phones.
Thanks for your help
have you decided on a rom? kitchen or RUU file? let me know which one, then, ill help you unlock and install your rom
I am still researching the best one, or the one I think I would like to try. Thanks for your help and I will get back to you when I think I fully understand.
ok, this is what I believe to be true. a ROM and RUU are pretty much the same and a kitchen allows you to pick and choose which apps you want to install. What I am looking for is a way to allow me to have more features for the phone (ie. turn on GPS and upgrade to WM6.1) but yet also have some of the same programs I use all the time or be able to install the programs I use ( Office, Opera, Calendar, ) Things like that. Since you have way more knowledge on this then I do, with what I mentioned what would you suggest?
go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=444342
then go into scrosler website and download the LOADED EDITION
have two things ready
1 nuespl (to unlock)
1 loaded edition rom (win6.1 GPS)
do you have a sdcard? what size?

You will also need an updated radio, I recommend 3.42.40 or 3.42.50.
You have to do SPL first, then radio, then rom.

I do not have a spare SD Card I am going to buy one and I have read that I need 1 no more then 2GB and to format it as FAT16
ok, I have downloaded Radio ROM 3.42.50, R4RLoaded, going to get SD NueSPL, and 2GB SD Card.

ok I am ready to go, I have an extra 1GB microSD card, After some reading, I am going to copy nueSPL to my phone with ActiveSync, SPL will format the 1GB card and then the unlock process will begin, After that I will install the ROM ( I need to re-read that because I forgot how to do it) and then after the ROM install the RADIO using the SD card method.

ill help you with the installation because its quite simple
once you get it unlock
rename your rom (ruu_signed.nbh) to TITAimg.nbh
copy TITAimg.nbh to storage card (using whatever activesync or card reader)
put phone in tri-color screen (in case you dont know it's power+camera+reset hold for 2 seconds)
that will install your rom.
the steps for upgrading the radio are the same:
delete previous titaimg.nbh file and replace it with your radio (titaimg.nbh) file
tricolor screen
done
Ok thanks for you help. going to try my very first ROM upgrade right now

I am trying to use Android on my Leo, Im running an Energy rom and I "think" i have the 2.12 radio installed and i have the android files etc on my SD card but when i boot into linux it stops and the screen goes blank.
Please help. It would be cool if some kind person would give me the links for the Roms and Radios that work with android.
I'm not a pro on android or anything but if you want to confirm the radio that you have installed on windows go to the settings tab > about phone > software information
Hi dude...good choice to put Android on your HD2...it runs AWESOME.
I was a die hard HD2 windows fan, but ever since i installed android....WOW...awesome.
1: Download this bare-bones windows ROM, with auto load android on it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774417
1:Task29 your device
2: Hspl
3: flash radio...most radio roms work, but check first....2.12.50+ etc is good...is what i use.
4: Format SD card
5ownload an Android build from the android part of the forum.
6: When download complete, right click on the complete download and select extract files.
You need to extract the files to whatever your sd card is called...for example 'E:'
6b: When you open your SD card after extraction, there should only be a folder called 'Android' on root of your card.
7: when they have been extracted to your sd card...restart phone, and you will get a lush bootscreen asking you 2 AWESOME things, with 2 possible answers ;-)
Boot android?
Boot windows mobile?
8: Just tap on the one you would like to boot.
9: On first boot, it can take anything up to 3- mins to first boot Android etc...but mostly takes 5-10 mins......LEAVE your device on until it finishes.
It may seem like it's doing nothing, as you may very well get a blank screen etc...but trust me...it's working.
trust me, you wont ever go back to windows mobile..hehe
matt
Ok manageed to get Abdroid working, restarted the device back into normal winmo, loaded the bootloader and now it just shows green screen ???
Basically, just pull out yuh battery, make sure your sd card is in, with only one folder (which contains android build) called 'Android'
When you restart, that ozroid windows mobile rom i directed you too, will auto pop up asking if you want to boot android or win mo.
if 'win mobile' is bright and selectable, but the 'android' option is a dark unselectable colour (if u can not boot android or it says android not available or not present etc) then format sd card, make sure nothing is on it....
....then extract Android folder to SD card....then when u restart phone, if you used that ozroid win mobile rom, it will pop up within 10 seconds asking which operating system u wanna boot.
select android, then wait, it might take 10 mins, possibly even 30mins for first boot, but be patient.
if u have no luck, reply here or PM me...and i'll whack up a video tutorial for you in morning m8...no probs.
Matt
try this dude.....

Okay, I was able to install the HSPL to 2.08. By the way I was on T-mobile stock Win 6.5. I installed MAGLDR 1.13 and I verified bothh are installed. When I tried to load NAND Android, could not find the loader.exe or daf.exe to install. I have a phone right now in the bootloader menu. I just want to go back to Win Mo 6.5, I downloaded stock from T-mobile website, but the PC does not recognize the device (has it as MAGLDR device). I would really appreciate any help that you could give. I have searched the forums for this topic, can't seem to find a solution that works. When I tried to install WinMo 6.5 it says it could not communicate with my device (only way I can even see it is to select USB mass storage in bootloader menu). USB flash says USB, but nothing happens. Windows device manager doesn't recogniz device either.
I will never attempt this again, and thanks again for any help you can give.
okay, things should turn out okay.
if you want to proceed with nand:
* When your phone Reboots it will Enter the MAGLDR Boot Menu Screen *
1. Press the 'Volume Down' button to goto Option 5: USB Flasher and press the 'Call' button (far left of the 5 hardware buttons at the bottom)
2. The menu will enter Android Flasher mode and install usb drivers if not present
3. Browse to the folder you extracted your NAND Android Package files to on your pc, right click on Run DAF.exe (or Install.exe if DAF.exe isnt present) and select Run as Administrator
4. Read ALL the text and then select 'Next'
5. Read the information and select 'Next'
6. The installer will now detect USB and then flash your Android Rom to NAND
* You can follow this progress on your Phones Screen *
7. When flashing is complete your phone will Reboot and proceed to boot Android from NAND

for an example of a daf rom use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917590
from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
to return to wm:
flash rom from sd card:
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

Do this cut your phone off then cut it back on by holding the volume down button and momentaraly holdind thd power(end) button. When the tri color bootloader comes up plug your phone into the USB cable and wait for the white bar at the bottom of the phone screen to say USB ans then run the update utility for the T-Mobile ROM.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I think I am going to go back to 6.5. When I went to the folder I xtracted for android, I could not find a run.exe or install/ It loaded three files, boot, system, and some other file. None of them had those listed in the files. Like I said, I shouldn't have even attempted it.
Now, when I flas back to WinMo, will it only be on the SD card?
were those three wrapped in a .zip when you downloaded them? sounds like you may have a zip nand rom, but are following daf nand instructions.
got a rom filename for us?

No you will just be using the Sd card to flash the ROM if you go the SD card rout, and by the way when you are done flashing your phone you can remove that file from your SD. Flashing with the SD card is just a easier and safer way of flashing seing as the only thing that could go drastically wrong is the battery die or you remove the SD card while the flash is in progress. Also flashing from SD takes a littke longer too.
Edit: You well lose HSPL and MAGLD by using the SD card method.
You are right! Unfortunately I got frustated with it and I deleted the files. Here ia the one I tried [23.FEB.11][ZIP][LEO512][LEO1024]CMYLXGOs Stock Desire HD(2)[RUU1.84][RAFPIGNA 1.7OC]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like ALL IS well when download the stock. Thaks T-macgnolia! Actually thanks everyone! My husband thanks you as I didn't destroy his phone.
Okay, last thing I hope. I was able to get 6.5 up and running. Everything works except the battey will not charge. (the little charging icon does not show up in the status bar on top) The battery ia down to 2 percent, when I plug it in the battery goes to full and the led light blinks red, then green all the time. I pulled the battery to reset, doesn't help. What did I do?
Oops, flashing light indicates faulty battery or battery charging circuits. Check battery pins aren't a little bent, perhaps borrow a battery from friend / shop and see if it still happens.
