Hi guys.
Few days back I purchased Canvas A110Q (Canvas 2 plus)
Its om jelly beans 4.2.1 so all the methods posted here for rooting it failed as there is no space in system folder. So i have few questions which I think some experienced peoples can answer. I wanted to ask:
1)Can I install CWM without rooting my Canvas A110Q
2) Can I install rooted rom without rooting my Canvas A110Q?
If yes then how can we do the same.
Please answer my questions, I am eagerly waiting to root my phone.
Thanks

I have installed rooted rom in my samsung without rooting the device using Odin so there must be a way to do the same for Micromax canvas 2 plus. May be via sp flash tools.

Actually these days canvas 2 plus comes with version 2 ROM, so all the methods provided to root this device fails because in this rom there is no space in the systems folder i suppose thats why when we tries to root it, it always gets failed because su does'nt gets pushed in system folder.
So I wanted to flash pre rooted rom or downgrade it to version 1 rom but need steps of doing the same via flash tool or any other way.

su needs just 1 mb that will be there if not
check to root without installing su
you can rrot your phone with some oneclick software try with that and get rooted and uninstall some apps and push su to the system manually

No,you cant access Root until you reinstall it again, use the method used for your Xperia S to reroot your phone.
Remember, each time you flash a new ROM,configuration files are reseted, including Root. (Unless the ROM you flash is already prerooted)

download the latest flashtool it has rooting
or unrar the attached file, flash back to any rom, run "step 1 rooted" flash with your new rom, and then root with "rooting kit" step 2.
I already rooted the phone using CF ROOT. running stock 4.1.2
Can I use ROM MANAGER to flash CWM recovery ?

there are many guides for rooting and installing CWM, but I'd like to know if I can use ROM MANAGER to flash CWM on a rooted S3 ?

AFAIK, ROM Manager is not fully compatible with CF-ROOT/JB (don't remember which, just that it was incompatible with one of those two). Better flash through ODIN.

Try this instead TWRP market download link in first post
Does the same job, download the app from the market and install then install the recovery script from the menu button
Just to clarify, I can install TWRP as suggested above after the phone was rooted via CF ROOT ?
No need to also unlock the boot loader ?
the bootloader is not locked
Hi guys! I had installed CWM Recovery this morning, but after wiping and installing this rom I can't boot in recovery anymore and I don't like this rom..
My phone has locked bootloader. Now, i have this room working, but if I install X-Parts it says that my phone is not supported
Any ideas? I triyng to fix it since 04.00pm and I can't solve it!
Help please
flashing a rom wipes your system partition which wipes your recovery. because you haven't flashed a kernel that includes a recovery. x parts installs recovery mode to your system partition. There's a CWM flashable zip for the recovery in themes and apps section. download it first. You can open that zip and copy the files in to your device. then you can have a recovery.
Remember to flash that zip whenever you flash another rom before exiting recovery mode.
or use this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346190

sk17i CWM
Hi all,
After spending 1 week and trying most methods to install CWM on my Xperia x10 sk17i without any success, the only method that worked was downloading and installing CWM auto installer.apk on my phone.
Thank you for all those posting comments on XDA to help others.
Hi.
First of all, I want to thank all the users of this forum, I found many helpful things and you're amazing.
Second, my english is a little bad, so I apologize for any mistake.
Now, the problem:
I have a rooted Grand Quattro that is stuck at the logo screen (the one that shows name and model of device). I can't boot to recovery mode, only to download mode. How can I make the phone start again? I have a backup of ROM that I've made with CWM, but I can't access CWM to restore, and can't reflash CWM (device says "signature verification failed" after every attempt with Odin 3.07).
I need help, I've searched through these foruns and another places, but couldn't find a suitable answer.
Thanks for attention
Flash Fresh ROM again via odin
BTW which rooting method did you use? There are better and easy methods. Use Kingo App to root the phone.
Try flashing the stock rom again via odin while in download mode ofcourse. Because you are able to do to download mode. Right?
Then download kingo app and root your phone. Don't use cwm method unless you want to flash any other script or custom rom in your phone.
Also uninstall USB drivers and install it again.
Let me know if some new problem arises. :fingers-crossed:
Cheers :good:
Thanks for response.
I flashed the stock rom and it worked again (and I didn't lost programs and personal files )
I opened this thread because I couldn't download the stock rom from Terafile, but I managed to download and install after some time.
About your question: I rooted with Kingo app, but I was trying to install CWM, and I read in a random place that I need to chroot the install-recovery.sh. I think this messed with the phone.
Well, I recovered the device and rooted again, so thanks for helping

Where did you get the stock rom? And flash it with odin?
Download it on http://sammobile.com and flash it with Odin.
This is great platform to resolve all kinds of rooting issues....
Stock ROMs of almost all versions are available on xda itself and all over the internet......
I am XDA Forum user having QMobile A600 (Micromax A116). I got my devices rooted through the software provided.
I have super user right, installed ROM Manager & TWRP. But when I try to install any recovery, It boots & gives an error sign (picture 1) & if I press power button. It loads stock recovery option. Factory Reset, Dalvik, Cache & Data not wiped. No ROM gets installed. I rooted my device through mt6589_rooter software available online.
Help please, nothing happening for me. It doesnt install or recover any thing. I am not even able to back up stock ROM through TWRP.
This is stock recovery.......not twrp

I rooted my device through mt6589_rooter & checked through many software (Root Checker, SuperUser etc).
I downloaded & installed CWM, ROM Manager & TWRP from play store. All of them show me rooted. Yea, you are right I haven't installed any custom recovery. Just want to first backup my stock ROM before flashing any custom rom. But nothing is happening for me. Whenever I try to to backup or apply any update, it boots me to stock recovery, nothing happens. Another thing, both show my device not listed / supported (QMobile Noir A600)
The link you provided is invalid. I have searched the forum, it provides version 2.x.x. I have installed CWM, TWRP both are 5.x.
So I should assume, I'm not going to get any Support?

Root your device using Farmaroot App then install latest TWRP v2.7.0.0 via MobileUncle MTK Tools App !! After this flash any desired ROM..
Did install the App.
Possible case once application is launched:
1. A popup saying "Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in Framaroot", in this case you can uninstall app
2. You seeing one or more exploit name, also click on one after you have selected an action and you will see one of the above messages.
Unfortunately got the first message & App closes. Not happening for me

Try using this app on A116 stock ROM...Flash it via SP Tools !!!
Don't have any SP Tool. I've QMobile (Pakistan) same like MicroMax (India). CWM/TWRP show not supported. No SP Tool. Titanium Backup not helping. Either no support for QMobile or I'm too dumb. I guess case is 2nd one.
Anyhow thanks guys but I might stick to stock ROM & leave custom ROM

Sorry for late reply i lost my device...:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: and wrong link
Yup that,s the problem bro no great support or services are provided for these devices to automatically install recoveries and flashing these devices using SP tool is a pain in *** try sideloading using adb tools i havent tried was going to do but lost the device.
Search about it on xda
android recovery 3 is also good if you dont want to flash custom rom
use adaway or freedom app and other great apps to get the best of root.
Thanks
Do tell me if that worked or if you came with a new method.
