Hi, here is a method to root your Spice mi 450 and other variants. I thought it might be helpful for those seeking help and I'd post the methods with which I could root my friend's mi 450. (You may try this on other phones as well)
Things you need:
1. The Spice mi 450, obviously.
2. Enable USB debugging from Settings > Developer options
3. Download the rooting software from here: http://www.schwantz-i.org/root-with-restore-by-bin4ry.html
4. Install drivers for your phone
5. Connect your phone via USB cable and open the application downloaded in step 3.
6. Make the choice 1 and follow the onscreen instructions
DONE!!! :good:
Your device is now rooted. Hit thanks if I helped. Cheers!

after the process only thing that was changed in my device was the wallpaper..

hi,i recently bought xolo a800 phone ... was experimenting with it and bricked it the next day.....
the phone is stuck on the xolo logo at start and its not booting into os.. the phone is soft bricked according to me

And its not bricked they have problem with ICS 4.0.4 once they put stock ROM in place ull find our solo much better than earlier one.

i've called up Xolo care they've agreed to pickup my phone via courier and get it back... but it would be better if they could share the Stock rom or Factory rom like other maufacturers like micromax,zopo almost all companies share stock rom .. i've suggested this via email but they dont reply

As forum is not allowing me to post external links i am writng it this way.
In the below url replace "-dot-" with "." and "-slash-" with "/".
depositfiles-dot-com-slash-files-slash-gwt1en4soo
after that its usual 45 sec wait and then you can download the zip file.

To get your stock recovery.img you will first need to determine which partition is the /recovery partition. To do this please run the following command as root from adb shell and please post the result:

Hi, Akshay if your phone is under 7 day of buying date than you can claim the replacement of the phone at the spice customer care near to you...

Because I am using my second spice mi-515 I bricked the first one and claimed for a replacement and thank god they Provided me a replacement....

Bought one recently, and I love it! for a phone below 10K the hardware is impeccable. Love the fact that most(if not all) of the bloatwares are uninstallable. Lacks added features like multi-windows, gestures, etc which is actually a good thing as the phone is smooth as silk and seldom(more like never) hangs. Sincerely hope a root method comes out for this gem of a phone.
Ya its a very good device,nd gestures are available in this mobile.
