Works great! Thanks. Getting alot closer to Nexifying the LG G2!
Do you have to unlock to answer the phone?
Should note that double tap to turn off doesn't work with this lockscreen though - need to double tap the status bar...
Is there a way to start widgets maximized by default with this lockscreen or that needs to be changed in code?
I have a smart window case. When I use the stock lock screen with this mod, the screen doesn't turn off when I close it. Its kinda weird. It makes the lock noise. If I lock the screen, opening the case wakes and unlocks the phone. Odd.

do I edit the build.prop under system or some other ?
So I tried this, and it resulted in getting stuck at the LG splash screen. I'm on Verizon, is it by chance specific to another carrier? I'm running CleanRom 1.0 with a couple mods (for nav bar and status bar).
Any ideas?

Just boot in to TWRP, wipe cache, dalvic and system. Then relfash the rom. Wont lose any data that way.

Okay so maybe there is some dependency on that line in build.prop for some reason.
I will wait until someone gets it working (or has a workaround for Verizon) to mess around with this.
Thanks.

I had no problems editing my build.prop on VZW CleanROM. Make SURE you put the permissions back after the edit.
I believe permissions are the key. I successfully switched to stock lock screen on VS980 and made sure perms were correct of 644. When I went to revert back to LG lock screen I forgot to change perms and default is 666. Then I saw the failure to boot the kernel with a black screen after the LG bootloader screen like others have seen.
So got to test recovery backup restore and am happy it worked!

Unfortunately the space for on-screen buttons on the lockscreen appear inconsistent, i.e. the standard dark overlay over the wallpaper is cut off at the bottom.
So I tried to give it a shot, but running into weird issue with build.prop editing.
For some reason it only lets me type "fals" and then nothing else displays on the screen. I can't type out the full word "false" instead of true.
Has anyone seen this before? What are you using to edit build.prop?

Black on black is usually a theme related issue.. I suspect that the OP is using a different rom than the guys with the black text issue.
We've seen that alot on Cm/AOKP themes where there is a 'real dark' mod in the rom also that gets enabled. The mms app isn't accounting for the fact that the theme is different than the default. Notach based that black dialer and contacts on the Euro variant of the S4. Where as the North American device runes AMDL stock the Euro runs AMEA and I'd venture that the changes that need to be made are in either framework-res.apk or twframework-res.apk. Most likely some specific xml strings that need to be changed in twframework-res.apk since I believe the samsung messaging app makes touchwiz dependent calls.

Same black on black issue on MMS app on OEM AT&T Rom, and even when the Phone App was done just like the other 2, it never changes from White background. It's a shame as I was looking forward to this specific Mod, there's one thing I don't love about my GS4 and it's the white background on those Apps.
All of these worked great on clean rom 1.0. Thanks a lot this is what I was looking for.

Warning
Maybe I haven't done it correctly but, after copying and pasting the file "SecPhone.apk" using ES File Explorer the phone rebooted and the message "updating android" came up for a few seconds. I tried to restore from the backup that I had done before and that didn't work. So basically it worked. I just can't go back to the default settings and every time the phone boots up that message comes up for a few seconds. Does anybody know why that happened?
The 3rd and 4th link go to the same file. Is that correct or am I missing something?
I installed the 3 files and everything works except the Black on Black issue with SMS. Has any one found a fix for that?

Thanks a lot for the tip, as I've been trying this for some time and never figured that out, also, just to add something, after you delete the odex file, just restart the phone immediately as it will begin to give you error if you try to open the MMS app, after the reboot everything is GREAT, well at least as far as I can see.

Yeah, this has a few more tweaks than nottach so far, and some that didn't work before (Quick Setting tile number wouldn't work on my MF3 I337) are working now. Anyone is safe to install and tweak away as long as you're on stock/tw.
EDIT: nottach xposed does have a few more than this at the moment, I was wrong. Specifcally the full battery and headset notification I've noticed so far.
I'm not sure if this is related but after installing this i noticed my mobile connection would randomly switch to h+ in settings. I rebooted and got the padlock. Booted fine still and noticed an extra battery icon. I only enabled the module and looked at the options without checking or changing anything.
Uninstalled and rebooted. No padlock, no extra icon. Goldeneye MH1 with only scrolling cache and call record add ons.
So I really want to try this out but I have a quick question. As of right now im on MF3 and I am planning on rooting my phone. The only think I would like to be able to do is to have lockscreen widgets on my device while having security enabled such as a pattern lock or password. Will this give me the option to do just that?

The extra icon does sound like something that a tweak/app like this can be responsible for.
Whether it's a one-time glitch or a bug that will recur, who knows.

I know it's not supposed to work. I wasn't expecting it to work. But I tried it anyways.
Slim Bean AOSP 4.3 ROM + Xposed + Wanam all seemed to install fine.
But a reboot or two later, before even selecting any option changes, ended up getting to where it refused to boot into the OS. Even after a factory reset.
Don't jump me, I know it wasn't *supposed* to work.
Guess I just confirmed that for the rest of the 4.3 AOSP guys?
I found this on the AT&T Note 3 forum but used it on my Sprint Note 3 to enable the Mobile Data toggle since it was so conveniently left out.
I take zero credit for this but can confirm it does work at least for the mobile data toggle; I did not attempt to add or remove any other toggles so as always, YMMV.
If you find this useful, please thank the creator of the thread linked below, I'm simply sharing a great find by someone else.
Enjoy!

So after a little bit of tinkering, I've managed to get M8-esque software keys on my One Max. Now I have set about disabling the capacitive home/back keys, but for the life of me, cannot manage to shut them off...does anyone happen to know the file that I need to edit?
Undertake the following AT YOUR OWN RISK, when it comes to ripping out this kind of stuff I HAVE ENOUGH TROUBLE TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY OWN ACTIONS, LET ALONE YOURS, THEREFORE, I WON'T.
UPDATE: For anyone interested in getting the keys disabled, I managed to finally get them off by using root explorer to edit the contents of:
- system/usr/keylayout/max1187x_touchscreen_0.kl
- system/usr/keylayout/himax.touchscreen.kl
- system/usr/keylayout/synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl
All contents of these files were backed up and deleted. Reboot and enjoy!
(I'd tried #ing them, and deleting the contents individually, but it only seems to work when ALL are blanked, someone who actually knows what they're doing can probably clarify if this is overkill)

Well I suspect what made it so very easy was the fact that I was on the 4.4/Sense 6 M8 port that Flyhalf posted a few weeks ago. Since it was an M8 port, I just assumed they'd be hidden in there.
You can get them up with a text edit, or you can go the easy route and use

(Although if I could define the length of a long press at a laughably short time, e.g. 1ms, then assign no long press function.....that could be a janky way of getting the job done)

The most infuriating part of this is the fact that I've been digging in system/usr/.../keylayout, systematically #ing out instances of the desired keys, but they just never ever ever unbind.

Haha! I've fumbled my way to success! OP updated for any one who might want to do the same.

I'm actually embarrassed to open this thread but I'm baffled so looking for some help from LG vets. This is my first LG phone. I see all the adverts showing a vertical clock on the lockscreen, hours over minutes. I have a horizontal clock widget on my lockscreen, hours on the left, minus on the right. I want the vertical clock widget, hours on top of minutes. I looked in widgets, not there. I tried to resize the widget on the homescreen, won't resize to that format. I chatted with LG CS who stated that I should make the lockscreen visable, hold and drag the clock to the left and more options would appear. I hold and drag the lockscreen clock and it goes nowhere. I am on a AT&T LG V10. Is there any way to get the vertical clock on the lockscreen and, if yes, how about the homescreen as well?
Now. I know I'm not crazy. I had the hour over minutes clock and went to look in settings to see where to change it and I noticed that now my clock is hour next to minutes.

I'm going to venture to guess that it changes depending on if you have notifications. It is hour over minute when you don't have notifications on the lock screen then when you have them it will change to hour next to minutes. I disabled them altogether as I don't need them on the lock screen and the second and the notification center.

Thanks! I have been using, modding, flashing phones for years and I was at a loss trying to figure it out.
No problem. In fact, I was looking (not very hard)/for how to change that to hour next to minutes and it wasn't until I read your post that I put a little more thought into it.

Must be the international version only. I have the horizontal clock regardless of notifications. That's unfortunate as I like the look of the vertical one.
I have the Verizon Wireless version.

so do you still have the vertical hour/min clock on your lockscreen? if so can you upload the "LGalarmclock.apk" apk so we can download it? I'm assuming that's the apk responsible for the lockscreen clock if not someone please correct me.

Any way you or your any other Verizon user mind doing an adb system pull? It would be helpful for me to know which variants come with "V"ertical and which "H"orizontal. Obviously Tmos=H and Verizon=V..
Don't know how.

It's very easy and would help a lot here's a small tutorial I found to explain it.
http://www.droidviews.com/push-pull-files-android-using-adb-commands/
The command needed here is just adb pull /system and that's it. If you end up doing this just zip the files it gives you and upload to the cloud or something and post a link here.. I would really really appreciate it.
If you meant to send a link to didn't get attached.

Is this something that requires having root to do?

Can someone from Verizon please do an adb pull and get me the SystemUI apk? Pleeeease!!??
I realize this is dead but I stumbled across it. You don't need a pull of system. It's all there, you just need to change build.prop to a non-US carrier for ro.build.target_operator and ro.build.target_country. For example, TLS and CA, respectively. I did it for the international data icons, but the clock is affected too.

I guess I didn't realize that, but I use neither of those. I use AT&T, so I just turned those off.

When I change those to TLS and CA I get stuck with com.android.phone has stopped responding. This is on a Verizon phone. Any thoughts?
