[Q] Broken GT-P7510 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was happily running on 4.2.2 from AOKP.
Did myself everything wrong, including wipe and format my tab !
I am left with CWM Recovery v4.0.0.4. and a data USB cable with a key and all needed files.
But I have not been able to copy (yet) any of them on my Tab including with Odin3 v3.07
Mount USB storage do not work with Recovery CWM !
Suggestion ?

Need Help! I stuck in Emergency Mode!

Guys, i tried flashing ROM. But this trying failed. I rebooted the phone after wiping data -.- . And now i stucked in Emergency mode NEED HELP! :C
Have you tried accessing recovery? Try accessing it. If you can, then simply flash a rom. If you can't access recovery, then flash a stock rom while in emergency mode using the KDZ method. Use this tool to get a different stock file than the 2.2.2 given in the guide.

I tried it. I can acsess my phone's recovery but i can't see my sd card on my pc(sorry for bad english)
Did you toggle USB Mass Storage in recovery? If you have Clockworkmod recovery it is under Mounts>Mount USB Storage. If you have AmonRa it is on the main page 'USB MS Toggle'. Toggle this and then connect to the computer when in recovery. See if the sd card is detected now. Then copy a rom zip file and flash it.

If you have the stock Rom flash it via Odin.
Cwm sometimes mounts the external sd card but sometimes doesn't.. don't know how it is for others but it isn't working properly for me.
Go to mount and storage in Cwm for mounting sdcard.

I removed the battery because it was not charging and I thought I won't can flash any rom with the battery low,so I will seek more advices before turning it back on,so..
Wipe removed all my files, including stock rom,but I don't know if volume down + power + home button will work.Well I went into choose zip from sdcard and they all were there,I ran super wipe as it was said in the flash tutorial and it deleted almost everything,I am stuck into recovery and I cannot enter sdcard because there are no files anymore, such as the rom needed to be flashed.
If I mount sdcard n the mount and storage in cwm will windows explorer be able to put the rom back there? So i can flash it with.
update: volume down+home+power works perfectly, should I flash the rom with odin directly? the sdcard is empty too.

If you can get into download mode then you should easily be able to flash via Odin.
Do a search in the forum because there are many guides about flashing through Odin.

I will flash stock rom then I will try again to do android revolution hd 2.2.0 ( the step I missed is about creating a virtual ssd )
I will come with an update if the flash stock rom through odin works.
Checkrom comes in two versions, one is Odin flashable, flash that.then u are rooted after flashing
Next time u use superwipe remember to move the rom to EXTERNAL SD-card ,because internal SD-card is wiped.
Weird..odin exits after a while it says Please wait then it quits, while trying to flash stock rom, what's the problem?
I found a way to put the rom back there, but it is in sdcard, and I cannot enter it ( cannot mount )
How can I solve this from the recovery mode? I am still stuck in recovery mode or download mode..and the rom is on the card now,but cannot access to flash it with cwm
Why do not you just boot?
Previous rom is there but wiped and restored.
I do not think that superwipe was made to empty system from the rom.

The rom had to be put on a virtual/external sdcard, but because I didn't read carefully I put it on sdcard aslong with superwipe,so after I launched superwipe it deleted the sdcard files and the stock OS too,so it just says samsung galaxy siii like before it boots, but it stays that way..
I don't know how to get into the sdcard, cwm recovery says it cannot mount it,sdcard contains my rom,and because I cannot access it,I cannot flash it..I need a way to help cwm to mount sdcard,so I can flash it from there..
Otherwise I tried flashing stock rom but odin crashes, like I press start, then it says check md5 then Please wait,it gets stuck and quits..
Which recovery do you have? Is it the touch cwm?
Flash 5.5.0.4 1.5 from chainfire. Make sure when running odin nothing from kies is running in the background and make sure you do not tick re-partition.

It is not touch cwm..it is a normal cwm from what I have seen.
Can you give me the exact version ( including link )to flash with odin? I think it does not charge and I always get off the battery from it when I try something new and it does not work.
edit: CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4 :: CF -v1.3
I got it from..flashing the recovery.img

Then i need to tell you that you must flash through Odin a full rom then reroot and then flash again a custom rom of your choice.
Just make sure every time you flash with Odin nothing from Kies runs in the background. Otherwise Odin flash will fail or stuck.
Edit: Please remember and NOT TICK REPARTITION.

What's the problem?
Its checking md5, that takes a few minutes.
Boot into download mode (volume down+home+power, press up when it says are you sure) then flash via Odin.
Its simple.

Soft bricked GS3,how do I flash stock ROM using linux ?

I was formatting my phone's internal storage in TWRP recovery and I accidently wiped my ROM instead of formatting data. Now there's no OS on my phone i.e it's soft bricked.Odin won't detect my phone on my winXP PC,I got the samsung drivers installed and I made sure no kies process is running.I tried mounting the storage in recovery but when I click on it on my PC,it tells me ''please insert a disk''.I wanna try flashing stock ROM using ubuntu but I just don't know how.I know it's by using hemidall but I'm not very experienced with linux.I just need the codes that I have to put in the terminal.
Can you boot in to TWRP recovery? If you can, you could just flash another rom from there. If not i just did a quick search of google for "i9300 flash stock firmware heimdall ubuntu" and came across this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947975

You can always put a rom on your external sd card (if you have one) just plug it in to an adapter (again, if you have one) and pop it back in the S3. And i bet in future you'll make a back up
Good luck.
Didn't work and I don't have an external SD.Well I guess I'm f***ed :/ NOPE.As I was typing this,I thought about trying to boot my phone while it's connected to the PC and while it was stuck at ''galaxy s3'' logo,it installed additional drivers(I thought all of them were installed) and odin detected my phone.I just saved myself a visit to my other house where my main PC is which I used to do all the flashing stuff before moving here Thanks for your help

There's a program called HeimDall. You can use that to re-flash stock firmware or you can install VirtualBox and Windows on top of that, then you download the stock firmware to the virtual machine and Odin and you can set it to read/write to and from the USB ports
Hope I could help!

[Q] Stuck on clockwork recovery bootloop

So here's the deal, I'm really nervous and stressed because i offered my friend to root and flash cyanogenmod on his sg s3 (i9300 US international) , so i rooted without a problem then copied cyanogenmod and gapps to internal storage. I went to flash both via clockwork recovery, I did everything I was so supposed to do and while flashing cyanogen mode i got install interupted message (along with status 7 or something like that) from that point on i can't get out of clockwork recovery, i tried everything including wiping all data, only 2 screens i can get to are clockwork recovery and downloading mode, I think i should flash stock rom via Odin but I don't know which region version to download because US or UK international aren't option for some reason. I really really need help on this one guys, I'm freaking the hell out. What should I do
thanks

error 7 has to do with old recovery. download the latest cwm (at least 6.0.4.4), twrp or philz touch put it on external sd card and flash it through recovery. restart recovery and you should be able to flash cm11
I don't think you have a nandroid backup?
what do you mean with us and uk versions are no option?

I meant no option as in I can't see it as download option anywhere, only the other regions. Other thing is, odin recognizes S3 while in downloading mode but my computer itself doesn't for some reason. It recognized it before this whole incident (hence files being on the storage) maybe me puting the files on internal storage before was the mistake.Btw no i don't have backup, I guess Im dumb but I didnt think i needed it, thought it was simple process without any complications.

so which cwm version did you use?
if it's an old one try it the way I mentioned above. I would recommend philz touch (can be flashed through cwm) because there you can choose in wipe options to clean to install a new rom and then flash cm11. and you can also make an efs backup if you haven't already done it.
so maybe you do not need to reflash the stock rom

Then if you managed to flash Philz with Odin you must flash back to stock using Odin....

deleted everything on my p7500 using twrpp

Hi,
I was running nameless (android 4.4.4) and yesterday decided to install Odin. First step I did was boot in recovery (twrpp) and selected (wipe dat, cache, dalvik)...then I did an advanced wipe (system, data, internal storage) .... and then format.
And I forgot to copy the rom to the intenal storage.
Now I can access twrp, but have no clue how to easily copy the rom from my pc to the internal memoy (and where in the internal memory). Is this a bricked device?
Any help is welcome.

No, you can put your tab in download mode and flash the stock ICS rom with Odin or push a file on your tab with add but I didn't do that yet. The most important thing is that it's not bricked, just OS-less

I put in pda my rom "omni-5.1-20150410-p4-HOMEMADE.tar"
Should I put anything in pit? I tried putting this too but it is still not working: "android_fastboot_emmc_full_p4_16G_32G(www.mobilegang.in).pit"

Did you run Odin in administrator mode? And it's always wise to flash the stock ICS rom first and start fresh from there. I know it's more work but it's less prone to get errors that way.
Did not try Admin mode. Will try It later at home.
