Quick Browser was great on my Note 2 using AOKP 4.3. Too bad it's not working on the Note 3. So hard to use Chrome when your used to thumb controls.

I started using the UC browser, it does make it easier than chrome and the stock one, but still not as good as the quick controls.

I can't find it in Settings>Account>Google anymore. I rely on that because I use Quick ICS browser. Not a fan of Chrome. Btw, Chrome automatically syncs the bookmarks. There is Settings>Account>Google>Chrome.
Yeah, looks like they've dumped the feature . Damned annoying if you're using stock browser which I like a lot better than Chrome - not just for ability to continue using Flash but I've gotten used to that cool little thumb navigation thing. Grrrr gonna have to set up local bookmarks now :crying:.
Try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.h.chromemarks&hl=en
Works great so far.

I'll just use chrome marks or whatever it's called now. Yes I also like the quick controls half circle of the ICS browser which is the other reason I use it in addition to Flash

Yeah! Nice tip - thanks mate. App works great in JB stock browser. Didn't think it did at first as I was looking for an additional "Account" folder as in ICS. In fact it syncs everying now under the local folder.
This was my only real complaint with JB (still can't think why they would have done away with such a useful feature though) so far. One very happy camper here: warp speed browsing plus Flash plus Google syncing plus the cool and improved thumb navigation thingy .
Now if only I can find a way to get ADB and root back .........
There is a free fix, no root needed

What browsers are you guys using. I've tried to give the stock browser a go but it sucks. I have a zagg screen protector so maybe thats it. Just seems hard to press links.

The stock browser does not suck at all. I think it's faster/smoother than all other browsers.
You could give Google Chrome a try. It's a bit slow/choppy for me though.
There are a bunch of browsers in the Play Store to try too (Dolphin, etc.). Give them all a try and see what you prefer.
I've used dolohin browser before and like it. I just wanted to give the stick browser a far shot one more time.
I use Opera mini. It's very fast and I love it!

Chrome
Stock Browser is awesome in itself.
But I use Chrome for the link between phone and computer. Luckily dont experience this clunkiness you are referring to.
I'm using Chrome Beta. I'd like to use something else but the syncing of all tabs/history between mobile and desktop has me hooked. Otherwise I really like Dolphin and another one called Xscope

I just tried out the stock browser and it's fast as hell. I'm going to use it from now on.

Stock browser does not sync with chrome bookmarks...an absolute requirement for me. I have never been able to get any of the bookmark sync across platform things work anywhere near as well as Google's built in solution, and I am not going to f%$$ around doing manual syncing. So I use the AOSP browser. Fast and light.

Find Chrome to Phone in the App Store, it's never not worked for me (as it is, in fact, built by Google).
edit: This doesn't support bookmarks anymore apparently... weaksauce. I always click the button to send to my phone what I need to read later, anyway.
I think it may be the thickness of my zagg screen protector. After using both browersers back to back the stock browser loads pages faster than dolphin but it just seems hard to click or tap anything. Sometimes I have to tap 3 times.
How do you install flash on the stock browser?
Chrome

You try FireFox Beta? I use AdAway and enable plugins in settings of FF. Personally I just use XBMC now tho.

Its an open source media hub, you then add repositories for video/program add-ons
http://xbmc.org/
Download 12.2 (most stable build).
YouTube up Icefilms/Navi-X if you want to get an idea of what is possible. XBMC has come a long way from Xbox and ATV, use to be such a pain to install everything its gotten a lot simpler.

I have tried the latest Flash apk for my device but it flickers. I'm using Firefox beta Explorer. Any suggestions or fixes for this issue?
I require flash content for certain websites so hopefully I can sort out this problem.
Thanks in advance fellow xda developer users.
I downloaded this http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk
And then just installed it, works fine on Dolphin, FireFox, Chrome.

Strange. Tried the one you suggested and I'm still getting black and flickering flash content.
Thanks for your suggestion though.

I use that ICS flash player combined with firefox beta, and it works a treat. some intensive sites take a while to load, but it works.
What ROM are you using? Its highly unlikey that you are running it.. , however Android 4.4 doesn't work with flash (has been reported)

I'm using the stock rom from Sony, not a custom rom. I'm still on Android 4.2.2.
Update. Just tried Dolphin browser and flash images don't even appear at all. They are blank/white.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774336
maybe that one works.
I have no problems with flash, works good for me.
Try UCBrowser from google play. I have it for tablet HD it plays flash and it looks good try it
did you try opening the browser as desktop version instead of mobile? some stuff doesn't work for me but when I open it in desktop, it works. *shrugs*

Anyone have a 4.4 rom running flash?
It looks like flash player ceases to work with Firefox and Dolphin which were my goto browsers until this point. Doing other searches it looks like other people were already saying it kills it officially in 4.4.
The good news is that it appears that UC Browser appears to download a plugin for Flash Player and actually does appear to work just fine. There is an app called Photon Flash Player which does appear to work somewhat but I got rid of it just to be on the safe side and will use UC Browser going forward.
I thought that you could sideload Adobe Flash Player to regain that function.

Some critical APIs have been removed from Android 4.4 that flash uses.
A great tutorial on installing flash in KitKat.
Well... That's good to know.
What a shame. I wonder how this will effect my porn browsing after I update. =\

Shouldn't have too much impact, Flash and Dolphin seem to work well.
This is why I'm not updating to 4.4 lol

That's funny. My eyes glazed right over the link you posted. I'll give it a try later.
Seems that modified flash apk is gone. Google removed it.
What do they have against Flash?
