Hi there,
Something weird happened with my HTC Titan (Windows Phone 7.8) today. when using the phon I noticed that the soft keyboard wasn't accepting any input. So I did a soft reset by holding the power button, but the phone seemed like it got stuck in the 'goodbye' screen.
So I took the battery off in order to make a hard reset.
when I put the battery back in and turned the phone on, now it shows the HTC logo, followed by the carrier logo (Vodafone) but then it get stuck there -- Nothing else happens (I should have seen the Windows Phone logo next).
I have no idea what to do. Could someone please advise?
Thanks,
P.
power switch

Hi all, 1st off, this forum is amazing. Please provide your input.
My device: HTC HD2 from Tmobile STOCK, out of the box, no mod has been done.
Problem: frozen at "stick together" screen for unknown time
Situation: the phone was used for 2-3 weeks, then sat in the box for approx 6 month.
Attempts: during all my attempts i didn't have the SIM CARD installed.
1/i tired to do factory reset, the 1234 then pressed yes -> frozen at sticktogether screen. took out the battery. then
2/Called Tmobile help support, we did hard reset by holding the volup and voldown plus power button, after I got to the animated screen.....stuck at "stick together"
3/Tmobile tech told me to take out the battery again, take out the micro sd card, and start the phone normally ....guess what ? stuck at stick together screen !!!! at this point, i was like **** should have not given away my iphone4
4/ while being stuck, the tech guy told me to use a pinpoint pen to activate the little yellow button next to microsd card, the device kinda turn off, then again ...stick together appeared. I thought to myself, i should have stuck with my Iphone4.
turning point: So, anyway, took out the battery, then turn on the phone normally, of course stuck at stick together...then let it sit for about > 3 hrs while watching "RED" from redbox...haha i came back, the phone logged in , kinda like the fresh start from out-of-the-box setting. I went through the initial tutorial, and all that good stuff. Seem to be functional. I turned the phone off, then do the vol down, and power button to check SPL version, mine is 2.4.1000000 or sumthing like. then it stuck at the tri color screen. took out the battery, then started the phone ...GUESS what ? stuck at stick together again.....I feel miserable.
I have two option,
1/ is to send the device back to tmobile and have them replace it.
2/ writing this thread and hopefully someone knows what's going on !!!
Hello all!
A friend of mine gave a Mozart today for repair. The glass is broken bad but the LCD is intact! The phone itself behaves very strange! When I power it ON (or plug the AC charger/USB Cable) The HTC Logo appears and sits there for around 15 - 20 secs then it reboots itself and the process repeat itself till I unplug the cable. Then it just turns off.
Bootloader works!
I tried to factory reset it (both volume buttons at power on) it didn't help!
I flashed the official Mango RUU but the problem persists!
The phone have not been modified by any way (HSPL, Custom ROMS etc.)
Ideas?
just send it to the service center, lucky if the warranty still exists. If the warranty dead already, then I think it's okay to spend a little money for the beloved mozart. currently, I have no idea what should you do.. If I were you, I would possibly done that. Either way it goes, seems that it needs an original hTC 7 Mozart's Display screen. (If you see hTC on below the main speaker, the hTC is written in the screen's display)..
I already ordered the screen and I'll change it no problem. The thing that is bothering me is why the phone wouldn't start like it should!
Update!
I've just replaced the digitaizer but the problem persist! The phone boots, shows the HTC logo, stays that way for some seconds and either reboots (if connected to cable USB/AC) or just turns off (in not connected) Bootloader works! I even HSPL the device and tried some custom ROMs. Every time the same thing! Before the HSPL I tried some official RUUs but no change! Some times while holding some of the keys I'm able to make it show the ZUNE Update screen! ( the black screen with a PC and a phone waiting to connect) then ZUNE tells me that there is no restore point (which is right) and tells me that I can disconnect the phone!
HELP!
dear friend
go to the original rom.
i had the same problem with the booting.
My Samsung Stratosphere turned itself off sometime and now is rebooting to the Samsung logo, and then turning back off, and rebooting (a couple times earlier it booted to the main android menu, but turned back off immediately afterwards) and when I plugged it into the charger it acts like it's charging and then turns off and acts like it's charging and over and over again, even when the battery indicates that it's at more than half full.
Does anyone know what's happening? (no custom ROMs or anything, it's all standard btw). I took the battery out and everything and it still does the same thing when I put it back. I tried to do a factory reset, but the recovery mode screen always jumps away when I try to activate it (I press both Vol+ and Vol-, recovery mode screen comes up but goes instantly, then the phone goes into a boot loop again).
Please help, thank you!

Hi, I'd recommend sending the phone into warranty, add the phone isn't rooted, you can't do much.

Had same problem on 3 phones. This is a connection problem within the phone. Disassembly & cleaning contacts often helps for a while, but problem comes back. Bumping the phone on the side or top, often allows it to work properly, for a short while, and so does squeezing it, in certain places. Get a new one, since the problem will re-cur.
My phone was working fine earlier, sent a text off, went to write another one, pressed the search button by accident and then the screen froze, wouldnt respond to any touch at all. Tried turning the screen on and off for a bit, volume was still working etc, in the end pulled the battery. Phone restarted, managed to get it to the normal lock screen (where it had my alarm/activities for the day displayed) but again, unresponsive to touch. Pulled again a few times and the same thing happened so I decided to leave it, figured maybe the heat/humidity here (on holiday in India) had wreaked havoc with some component.
Anyways, restarted again 30 minutes later and this time couldn't get past the windows phone screen -as soon as that loaded, it reset the phone and got stuck in a neverending loop. Held up and down together and got to the screen I think is called SPL (never bothered with any of the rooting stuff)
However, the TOUCH simply says "TOUCH NONE". So obviously theres a problem there. Everything else is the same.
I tried disabling/enabling the HTC log/modem bridge but that didn't help and did a reboot and factory reset a few times but that didn't help either. Now Ive got the device hooked up to my laptop, changed from serial to USB but I don't know what (if anything) I can do in this state?
I tried earlier holding down to put it into zune mode, it completed restoring the version but then as the zune software restarted the phone, it went back into the endless cycle - the zune software was still waiting for it to reconnect again to complete the process, but obviously I couldn't get it that far.

Hold down the volume up and volume down at the same time while hitting the power once you see the white screen you can let go of the power; in green lettering you're going to see the SPL, for most of us its 2.05.160023. This is the bootloader screen, everything there is done by the volume toggle, no touch screen here. Your phone is stock which means you won't be flashing like we customized folks do so let's start with the SPL, what is it and by some chance is it HSPL'd?

berrywr, TOUCH NONE on SPL screen means either corrupted touch driver or dead touch screen.
I sold my z2 to a friend, and when he has tried to insert his new sim has forced the red reset/ off button down too hard, and its stuck. So now when the phone has any charge it is stuck in the cycle of reseting itself, vibrating 3 times and the sony logo comes up, and it just keeps doing this. Are there any tips on unsticking the reset button.
Cheers
Liam
I think that you/he needs to disamble the phone if its not under warranty
