It looks like Google talk is causing these partial wakelocks but I can't find it in titanium backup in order to freeze/uninstall it.

Google Hangouts replaces Talk. Look under H not G.
Hmm... that wasn't it. I froze Google+ and TalkBack (never heard of it). Can't find anything else...

When this happens to me especially after restoring apps, you have to uninstall Facebook and reinstall it fresh from the market. This usually works. If not, then you can use haxsync in the market to sync your contacts

Thanks! =D Re-flashing CM9 now to test.
I asked about this in the questions but got no traction. Lately gmail app would freeze. I had to reset the phone every time to clear the issue. I also try killing all of the apps beforehand. This happens about once or twice a week. Today it happened again and I noticed the people / contacts didn't open after gmail app froze.
Any one know why this is?

+1 on this
Also I noticed if gmail freezes so does Google play. Seems like all g apps are affected.
Fyi I am on stock sense, non rooted, latest prl/update/firmware.
I never had this issue before the update. I have reported this issue several times with no action.

It seems to have something to do with Wallet and the 1.22 OTA. I saw some posts talking about disabling/removing wallet and clearing data on the Google Services Framework. I reset wallet (from within the app) and froze it in TiBu and haven't had the problem since (didn't have to clear data on GSF).
I was running into this issue quite a bit, but then I rooted my phone and it stopped. Didn't even have to throw a mod on
I guess I have to root. Did you do the HTC dev root?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I don't think it's a root-to-fix issue. I had this problem daily with MeanRom, and I think it probably started right when I activated Wallet. I flashed Fresh and haven't run Wallet yet, haven't had the issue in several days.
Also, for me it wasn't just GApps, I also would lose Internet access through the stock browser and through Opera Mini. Tweetcaster still worked, strangely enough.
I've had the same issue -- Chrome, Maps, Navigation, Stock browser, Gmail would all freeze on me. I reset Google Wallet and will let you know if it resolves the issue.
There is a whole thread for this in Q&A already:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779737
And you do not have to root. Just uninstall the google wallet updates (don't open wallet again), and clear data on google service framework. Lastly, reboot. I used to "white screen of death" once a day. I'm going on day 2 now without issues.
Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having wallet? I actually use it.

Indeed it does. All the more reason to get vocal with HTC and sprint about their last ota.
And still no WSOD so it seems to be working.

Hey guys,
For about 5 months now, I've been unable to purchase any apps in Google Play. In fact, I can't even see paid apps, only free ones.
I've tried clearing the data and cache for Google Play. I've restored the device to factory settings using the volume down and power button several times. None of that has worked.
I've emailed Google about it, but they have been useless. The only way for me to get paid apps on my tablet is to purchase them on my phone and then download them on my tablet. Which isn't ideal as some apps are incompatible on my phone. And I've noticed there are a lot of apps incompatible with the Transformer Prime.
I live in the UK and the device is set to UK. Please can someone help, it's driving me mad!

Not a solution but you can also purchase apps on the google play web and push them to your tab.
I can't, when I go through the website, my tablet is greyed out and won't let me purchase apps on to it.
I can't even see paid apps on the website! What the hell is going on??

Create another google play account to purchase apps for your prime with?!
What about the apps I've purchased with my current Google account, can I still use them?

Things currently installed shouldnt stop working I would think.
At any rate, it was really a suggestion to narrow the problem down to the account, not your device. Then take that info to google and tell them to freaking fix it.
I'm sure you want to get your gmail etc... so you would have to switch accounts everytime you bought something. Not practical.
You could though say "Hey google, I made this new account named X, logged in with my prime and was able to add apps.
Ah, yes, that's a good idea. I will try that over the weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, I tried making another account but it's still not showing any paid apps. I'll send an email to Google, see if they can come up with a solution.
If anyone can think of anything else, please let me know.

Anyone else notice Google maps taking 30-40% of battery usage? Anyone know a fix for this?
Edit: I have Google now disabled.

How often do you use it? You can keep it from starting up on its own with Autostarts from the play store, or freeze it completely with Ti Backup pro...

Hi guys
I was just wondering if we can make a full list of stock and bloat apps that are safe to freeze.
I know it is not so hard to know which ones to freeze but I think it is still useful!
Thanks

I freaking love freezing AT&T's useless bloatware and a few days later I remove it. AT&T and DELL love to pack their devices with tones of **** I wonder who thinks this type of software is helpful. The reviews of the apps recommended by AT&T on Google Play are awful Nobody likes them.
I also removed LG keyboard, chrome and all the Google apps, I kept Gmail and Youtube though.
Does it have the same bloat as in 4.0.4?

^^^^. What can be safely removed from this list? Aren't some of these system apps? What is the best way to totally remove these with TiBackup Pro?
Thanks.

That's what I thought.
That's not true I removed them all with root explore. All those on that list and more, just have to unlock with freegee first before deleting them.

You can remove them,at least that's what I do without any "side effects" I have been using Uninstaller Pro for years, there's pro (paid version) and the free one. Don't forget what whoamanwtf is saying and unlock with Freebee,in order for you to avoid surprises or the security error.
Be sure you are unlocked before you freeze/remove or you will get security error.

You can uninstall apps however they advice freezing over uninstalling because it has basically the same exact effect. However, with freezing, you can always unfreeze in case something is screwed up or you change your mind about an app or something.
as others said, if you are rooted and unlocked on stock jb, you can use titanium backup to uninstall all apps that have ATT in their name. i have done this and have no security errors or OS error popups.
