Hello,
I installed 10.1 cm on my xperia mini pro (SK17i) (mango) and I wonder if there is a way to be notified that an update is available? I do not think CM Updater menus.

what u mean is a ota update. at this time its not avaiable in cm 10.1 (& others too)
the best think u can made is top add the download page of LX cm 10.1 builds as favorites, so u can look once a day

ota updates are all bit tricky there can go many stuff wrong as far as i know ota wont work properly so its not implemented in our cm builds.
not to confuse cyanogenmod had (has) a ''update'' feature but this only downloads the newest cm build, but still u have to flash it manually using CWM...
the cm account stuff is introduced few time ago in 10.2 i dont know so uch about it (bcuz never use).

I am trying to decide wich rom to install on my ACE. A friend recommended this one ([2.3.6 XWKT7] ➣ Adrenaline™ ROM ). But the last update was from april, is this rom going to be updated, is it discontinued o are the developers still working??
Thanks
P.S: sorry for my english.
none of the ROMs are updated daily or weekly or even monthly except the official CM
u just cant decide a rom as discontinued as it had its last update on april.. so you can flash it.. and it is not discontinued for sure
Yes, good choice .. it's a very light rom and also has a good performance .. it wasn't discontinued .. i think he's just having a hiatus .. you know devs also have their own life ..
Try CM7 official rom it is a good rom so far with weekly to monthly updates

Yeah, the official Cyanogenmod would be a good choice. There are the most updates and it's supported by a great developer
If you're still unsure, I recommend you just to read this Thread about the Official CyanogenMod.
I am going to install this one since it was highly recommended by my friend. Thanks

I didn't read this post before. Didn't know there was official cm for ace. Big change of plans, I am going to install the cm then.
As the tittle, CM team announced a CM 10 M ROM to Xperia S and Acro S. They said that more "stable". But now don't have dowload-file!
"Something we have learned over the past few months is that if you don’t release, someone else will do it for you. Since we are open-source, we absolutely encourage it! Unfortunately, the quality of unofficial builds can vary, and we are serious about quality. Of course nightlies are always available, but we realized that having something that is a bit more stable on a more frequent basis is important. Starting now, we are rolling out our M-Series releases. M-Series builds will be done at the beginning of every month. We did a soft freeze of the codebase for the last week, blocking new features in order to stabilize. Our plan is to continue this (assuming that the response is good) up until stable release, and onward.
We aren’t exactly sure what M stands for. “Monthly”, “milestone”, or perhaps “MINE ALL MINE!”. Whatever it is, I hope that we are meeting the needs of community.
M-Series builds will be available under the EXPERIMENTAL tag. The filename will include the date stamp as well as the M version. These builds should be stable enough for daily use, and we encourage feedback and bug reports."

You can view source or find anything here!
And can we hope to a "less-issues" rom? :victory:

official cm10 by cyanogenmod is not available as of now but the awesome fxp team at xda has developed the unofficial cm10 rom which has almost everything working except camera and few other things like hdmi..you can try out that if you wish to....
here is the link for downloading cm10 http://code.google.com/p/freexperia/wiki/CyanogenMod10
thank me if this was what you were looking for
Thank you Amey_gangal
sorry when cm 10 m will available for xperia s?
Fxp are the official developers of cm for xperia phones. Doesn't matter if you get builds directly from cm or from fxp they are all based off the same code

Hello to everyone! I have a question about my Xperia Neo V (Haida). I want to change my ROM (currently AntiBillOS CM10.1) to a more stable and with fewer bugs. I'm tempted to Legacy Xperia by Mike, but I opened this thread to ask an opinion on all ROM based on Android 4.2.2, with strengths and weaknesses. In particular, I am looking for a ROM that is stable, faster and with less bugs as possible, with root permissions and superuser, of course. I also wanted to consider Legacy Xperia CM10.2 by Mike, but I have read that it is still at an embryonic stage. I await your answers.
Sorry for my English.
Definitely CM10.1 because of lesser bugs. CM10.2 is being fixed but it's laggy at this moment & some of the hardware doesn't work. Hopefully most of bugs will be fixed soon. So I'd suggest you to flash latest CM10.1 by Mike.
Cheers!!
Is it really necessary to create new thread for this..

Thanks again for your reply. I chose the CM10.1 by Mike as you suggested. Just one question: if I were to upgrade to a future build, can I use the built-CM update?
No you can not update unofficial ROMs through CM Updater in Settings. You have to manually check on respective development thread if an update is available you have to download it & flash it manually.

Hello... Currently I have an old old CM9 based rom installed, and I'm thinking of an upgrade. I've been reading development forums regulary and Kitkat roms seem pretty fast... Are all the basic things working on the latest Maclaw Kitkat 4.4.2 ROM? WiFi, and camera (for pictures, don't need video recording). And do I install the version on Maclaw site or can I get a newer better version, and where do I get it
@bir00
the holy grail in kitkat is the OMX (without that you can not use youtube), new maclaw fix it but don't share his sources to other developers, they have failed to advance.
according I read the latest version of maclaw have bugs with OMX, the bluetooth don't work properly, the wifi works well and the camera can only take pictures.
I used carbonRom version, is amazing, has OMX problems, but with a patch of gigitux you can see youtube in CM 11 or CarbonRom,is the best ROM I've used of kitkat.
the decision is yours.

I don't have this problem in carbonRom, in CM 11 I don't know (Xu)

So, the question should be Maclaw CM11 or CarbonRom? I will wait for more replies, it would be nice to see which ROM is the best for speed/stability. I'm assuming Kitkat is the way to go for Xperia U, cause of good memory management. And in my experience low RAM is the only hardware issue with my little phone
@Kobalto07 I use CarbonRom but when I reboot my phone apps that are installed on sdcard disappear.
I think that CarbonRom has better RAM management but maybe this is because i do clean install. For me CarbonRom has same bugs as latest CM11 build from Maclaw.

the truth is that nobody can say about specifically because that happens and not others, in the official thread carbonRom have not seen anyone complain about it so far.
I can only tell you what I did
I did a full wipe, install the ROM with a user Goldrake1 Gapps that he shared in the CM 11 thread some time ago and finally put it in ART mode.
as hize not see anything special.
IAmNice said:
Carbon rom should actually use just as much ram as cm. If not more. Since carbon has a lot of features that run in the background and might use more ram. Shouldn't be such a big issue and I don't expect it to use much more ram.

all I can say is that for me, the performance of RAM is fine:good:, actually I have the same performance in CM Ram 11 Mokee OpenSouce , but CarbonROM It has been the best result(for me ) for example, I've these results RAM in CarbonRom.
Edit.
@bir00 generally you will not find huge differences between CM 11 and CarbonROM. it is safer than the end you will select which considers more complete.
I'm currently using hellkat's version of kitkat and it works better for me than the others, is fast, stable and the only bug that i've seen until now is that the speaker sound is kind of low, but still it's a very good rom
I finally installed Slimkat kitkat ROM. I've had a lot of problems running it. My phone seemed bricked but the reason was that nightly build had s*rewed up kernel. I finally got it to work and I like it
One question though, do widgets from ICS function on KitKat? I just can't install recent calls widget. Or any other widget for that matter. Is it a common KitKat problem?
I don't want to be missunderstood.
I do recognize all the work from our developers, altough they are only few... Unfortunately i only know how to port roms..
so can anyone of you guys give a shot to create a lollipop build ?

We have 3 daily drivers right now, Crystal is the best so far because of the camera, but still, we have 3 cm11 builds
Is cm12 out? I think making 4.4.4 builds is easier becouse we have sources from lg. Dont know about 5.0 with kernels and drivers and all must be harder for our device at this point.

Cm12 isnt out yet, theres "cm12" based on clean aosp compiled with cm sources
Its unofficial build so cm team has nothing with it
It might be unstable and isnt for daily usage
Cm Has announced that cm12 will come next month
But the best way is to pray for official 5.0 because updated kernel might fix problems we have right now
