This is the 4th Incipio DualPro Shine case that I've owned in the last year. Incipio has been quick to market and this case actually made it to AT&T stores before it even made it to their own website. At the time of this video, I could not find it listed anywhere. As you can see in the video, I have the same case for the LG Optimus G Pro. Not shown were the ones for the Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
The case is solid and fits perfectly in the mid level protection class. These cases usually retail for around $35 and this one is no exception. For most people, you'll never need more than mid level protection. It should get you through most drops. Corner, front, or back...
Many of these cases have started to come with screen protectors, but there was none present here. In general, I don't like the plastic style protectors they tend to include. However, since the device is new and not many stores had their ZAGG products yet, it would have been nice to put something on the screen to get me through the first week of ownership.
So, who might buy this case? If you want something that looks nice in public and will give you piece of mind for those days when you're a little clumsy, go for this product. Keep in mind that if you place it on its back, the aluminum will get scratches. There's probably not much that you can do about that. In the video, you can see what a few months of normal use does to the case. The case does make the Note 3 a little bigger. TPU cases provide a little less protection, however they would keep the overall dimensions down a little. Speck might make a case that has a couple of layers molded together. UAG already has one and the Spigen Slim Armor always seems to live up to its name. That would be a happy medium between TPU and true dual layer.

How does this case compare to the Spigen neo hybrid? I have one pre-ordered that's supposed to ship tomorrow but this seems to offer a bit more protection. I'm considering cancelling my pre-order, especially if I can pick this up in person at an AT&T store. Thanks

The only Spigen Neo Hybrid I've ever had my hands on was actually a fake. I bet the "soft" layer is made out of the same material the Slim Armor's though, and I have had one of those for a GS4. Despite the fact that I don't do drop tests, my guess is that the Incipio's inner layer can absorb more impact. It's silicone and thicker.
If your goal is to keep the device slim and add protection, go for the Neo Hybrid. Need more protection in a package that doesn't look ugly either, the DualPro Shine isn't bad.
I am going to pick up a glass screen protector from Spigen. I also want to grab the UAG case.

Thanks for the info, now just to decide by tonight whether to cancel my neo hybrid pre-order. Hmm
Too bad Incipio couldn't beat Spigen to Amazon with their cases, as I really wanted an Incipio DualPro Silicrylic (non-shine version).
Just bought this case . its ok but expensive for the quality. The reason I am returning it is because it does charge in my note 2 dock but wont go into dock mode. took it out of the case and it went into dock mode. Its probably not going down far enough.
I bought the Incipio Dual Pro Shine at the AT&T store on Sunday and thought It was pretty nice. Then my Spigen Sgp Bounce came in the mail on Monday and it made the Incipio look clunky by comparison so I returned it. The Bounce barely adds anything to the size of the Note 3 yet I still feel like it's well protected.
Still no frustrations with the Incipio. I know there will be other dual layers that are slimmer and offer adequate protection though.
I'd like to get a Spigen Glas, but most of their cases seem to be on the lower end of mid level protection. I purchased a Slim Armor for my Galaxy S4 which my girl uses now and no one has touched that case.
Incipio Note 3 Case
I like the Incipio Note 3 Case. BUT I noticed the my signal is weak. When the case is on it shows 4g. BUT in the same area with case off its LTE.
I also have an iPhone 5 and next to the Note 3 its LTE. In the same area Note 3 is 4G with case on. Take case off and LTE same as iPhone 5. I will be trying out Spigen Slim Armour next.
Nice case - BAD RECEPTION
The one big design flaw with the DualPro Shine I am seeing is it dramatically cuts down the Note 3's signal reception. I am quantifying about a 20-30% decrease in signal reception after having installed the case. Too bad. It's going back while I still can. I do love the case though.
Absolutely do not buy this case. I bought it with my phone and found that it was blocking 2-3 bars of signal strength. I actually tried to return my phone because I was only getting 1 bar of signal at my house where as my old phone was getting 4. The phone was only getting 3 bars of signal inside the AT&T store with the case on and the store has a repeater in the back. As soon as I pulled the phone out of the case it jumped up to full signal. I bought a new case and now I am back up to 4 bars at my house. This case obviously has a design flaw in the material they use that causes it to block signal.

The Ballistic SG Gel case is a very tuff case. I definitely hold it with confidence in my hand. It does add to the size of the phone. All the cut outs for the mics, camera and pen and micro usb plug are just right. Easily accessible no trying to cram your finger in to pull out the pen or having to use a Drumal to adjust the holes. I really like the large cut out for the camera, (some cases with small cut outs can make nasty flash effects and cause pour pics.) I also included a pic of my old Ballistic HC case for my Iphone 4 in there to compare size. I also had a tank case from case mate but it is exactly the same as the Ballistic so I did not bother pulling the iphone out to take pics. I am interested in a screen protector but not sure if the one I like will work. I like the Moishi one and plan to go to the ATT store to see if it will fit under it. I know some of the thinner screen guards should with no issue. I will update later about that. The bumpers on the corners give it the most bulk but are minimal. You can easily lay it face down with no issues. Great shock absorption. I also order a Seidio Active case with kick stand that will be in Monday and plan to do a review of it. One of these will be my permanent case. Let me know if you have any questions. Also I am not a skinny jeans or pants kind of guy but this is extremly pocketable. I have no issues putting it in or taking it out.
Any chance you purchased the White Impact Triple Combo or the BoxWave Resolute? If so, how did these compare the Ballistic Galaxy Note Case?

I have not bought those. They look identical though exexpt for the cut out for the camera and the little B printed on each mumper corner. I wonder if they are made as well myself. I have tried the Zenus Capsule and sent it back the day I got it. Terible case with no protection. I thought it was going to scratch my phone just putting it on. It would not let me reply to you earlier today until I had at least 8 post. I will be receiving the Seidio active with Kickstand Monday and one of these two cases will be kept while the other is returned.
Almost forgot. Enter Spring12 at checkout and you can get 20 % off of this case. I ordered it Tuesday the day of release and received to day so pretty fast shipping for there cheapest fair which was USPS. Also if someone wants the Seidio you can get 10 % off at their site with TW10.
Moshi Ivisor AG for Galaxy note
Went to the AT&T store today and tried on the Moshi screen protector that is reaplyable and has no bubbles what so ever and confirmed it does fit under the Ballistic SG Gell case here. Unfortunatley I picked up a white one by mistake so will post picks of the black one when I swap it out later today. I hope and it should I believe work with the Seidio Active with kickstand coming Monday. The screen guard is great it has an anti glare coating and does not atract smudges from fingers like the screen does. I love it most because you can put it on and take it off as many times as you want.

The IMPACT TRIPLE and Boxwave are one and the same. I have the boxwave and the ballistic. The ballistic is seems tighter the way it hugs the phone but I prefer the boxwave because there is more protection around the camera lens than the ballistic.

I did notice the box wave looked to be more closed in around the lens and flash. Most companies have chosen to widen those holes to allow more light into the lens and to not mess with the flash. I could notice a big difference on my old Iphone 4 photos that had really tight coverage around the lens and flash with the case compared to the latest one I got for it from the same case maker that enlarged the holes because of those issues. I have to say after receiving the Seidio active with kickstand today, I will be sending it back because of how much more protection the ballistic offers. I love the idea of a kickstand, just doesn’t offer enough protection to me. Those extra bumpers on the corners of the Ballistic and Boxwave make a big difference when dropped.
Just ordered it tonight and will post pictures when I finally get it. That was my favorite case, with the standard battery, for my s4 when I had it. Slim, rubber inside, hard shell outside, rubber ribs for grip and anti slide on the back. It never interfered with a tempered glass screen protector, as long as you installed it perfectly centered in accordance with the edges of the frame, not the home button. It's on sale, this weekend, and I'm guessing until cyber Monday, for five dollars off and free shipping via USPS. http://www.speckproducts.com/smartphone-cases/samsung/candyshell-grip-for-samsung-galaxy-note-3.html
Nice find. I like Speck. They make quality stuff.

Never used a speck case before I like the design ..how does it. Compare to a uag or otterbox commuter in terms of size/protection?
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
It's similar to a UAG in terms of protection. One layer silicone inside lining, attached to the plastic exterior.
Different then a commuter with a wrap around silicone lining with a separate exterior hard lining
Sent from my SM-N900V using xda app-developers app
It's smaller than the commuter. When you install or remove it, the case is all one piece. The layers don't come off. Easy to put on or take off. Shouldn't need reaming mod for most headphones. Won't slide when placed on a surface back down. Good amount of lip protecting the screen and camera. The rubber layer is slightly harder density than rubber on otterbox.
Def glad to see it out for the Note3. I plan on ordering this when 12am hits for cyber monday from the Speck website. Just wish they had the white and black version like they usually do.
I had a Speck candyshell (non-grip) for the iPhone 5s and loved it. It was hot pink and white but it was only $5. Not digging the Spigen Neo Hybrid because its way to slippery for a phone this big. The issue I see here is that it's $40.
Edit: Speck has a holiday deal knocking the price down to $35.
Edit 2: The case is now $30 after 25% off.
I love my tech 21 for my note 3, but would be interested in the Speck. I like the candyshell over the Candyshell grip though
Looks like black is out of stock.

Glad I ordered mine before making this post. Hopefully I'll get it before Friday. I'll post pics when I get it. Lots of close ups so you all can see the details.
Previous reply was rejected. I'm not going to type out all that again. My pictures and a video turned out crappy and out of focus. Long story short. This case protects better than just tpu but less than otterbox defender. It's slender and fits snug. The same quality you can expect if you've ever owned a speck case before. Grip ribs help with sliding but won't make it an effort to get out of a pocket like a glossy tpu or silicone case. Quality of build and function I give it five out of five. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. This case will definitely be my daily driver!

Tight fit!
They are better at excluding dust than any other case in my experience. If they used a plug to cover the USB/earphone jack openings they would be better than anything else out there for this kind of protection.
That's a good thing too as being harder to put on and take off means intrusive dust could potentially grind on the finish, etc.
Bad news for battery swappers though.
Protection is good, you can literally toss it at a brick wall repeatedly and not worry about damage or even the case coming off in between throws. The grip is also far better at not showing wear/scratches from sitting on tables, etc. like the normal version. The high gloss back of the normal version will reveal marring/scuffing of sitting on tables, countertops, etc. in relatively short order.
Bulk-wise they fall in between a minimalistic TPU (Diztronic, Bounce, Tudia, etc.) and UAG with protection on par with UAG.
Its asking price is fair for the quality received.
Just got mine today and fitment, quality, etc. is identical to past Speck products.
The buttons are covered, retain their clicky tactile feel and are no more difficult to depress than the naked phone! Fit is very snug, have not tried to take it off. It feels identical in hand to the candyshell grip that I use on my HTC one. It adds very little thickness, very similar to a TPU with far better drop protection. Even with a TPU I cringe if the phone slips, no worries here. Cutouts are well aligned and very tight. The S-pen cutout is quite tight requiring a fingernail to pull it out.
The camera is recessed sufficiently to prevent issues with setting down/dropping back first on a hard surface. The overall feel is it's well thought out and does not look thrown together like some other cases that were rushed to production. Worth the $$$ and I got another five bucks off ($30 total) by using a CNET coupon code. I always Google for codes when I see it on a website at checkout. Not sure if it's still valid and the black grip is OOS now...
Amazon doesn't even have this case (yet) and to get it for $10 off is a no-brainer!
Its a nice case i love the way the button, might have the best feedback but this case is worthless, within a few hours scratches will start to form and by the 2nd week you already want to replace because of the scratches. The darker the case the faster the scrtches will appear
I didn't notice scratches with my s4 and I had the case for months. Even so, it's better for the case to get scratches than the phone.

then you must carry it in a cloth because everyone knows specks cases scratch within like 1 day like they've been in a warzone. they are great cases but they don't keep the look.
$40 for that? Ouch. Looks like it should be $19.99 to me.
Yeah I keep mine in my pocket with nothing else in that pocket.
I never liked the Speck Candyshells. They scratch up like it's no one's business. They do look real good when you take it out of the package though.
Best thing is that they will replace their cases without any questions asked

Got this one from T-Mobile for 35$ after I freaked because I dropped my phone. The guy said it has an ''airbag deployment'' system that goes off when you drop your phone.. Haha. Not sure how true that is but I will definitely give kudo points for the marketing plan.

I have this case and it is absolutely amazing. I like it much better then my Otterbox.
I've had their cases for two Notes in the past and actively seek them out when I get a new phone. Great, durable cases and they give phones a nice solid feel.
Just picked up this case after seeing this thread. Just a quick review:
Came from a Spigen Slim Armor. I really like the look of that case, but it is damn slippery. I pulled the phone out of my pocket one time and dropped it on asphalt. The phone somehow came out of the case after the initial impact and cracked the glass cover I had on the phone and put a little bit of road rash on the phone itself. Sure, the case help protect the phone from some of the damage in the fall it had, but I'd argue that the case caused the drop in the first place.
Compared to the Slim Armor, The Tech21 case is thinner, and has a textured feel compared to the smooth feel if the Slim Armor case. I wouldn't say that necessarily makes it less slippery. It might be a bit better, but It's more slippery than I would expect by looking at it. The ports on the Tech21 are more open, which means I can actually use my headphones with a thicker port. It also seems to fit the phone a bit more snuggly, which means hopefully it doesn't fall off If I happen to drop the phone again.
Since it's thinner, I don't really like the way it sits in the hand as well, although I am usually against what people seem to like more often and prefer something that has a fuller hand feel.
All in all, I'd call it a decent case, albiet a bit overpriced. I'm still holding out hope that UAG comes out with a case for the G3, because The Case I had for my note II was probably the best case I've used.
I'm waiting on uag also. Great cases

starting this because i know there are some of us out there who require such a case. Thought we could save each other some time and/or grief and report what's available, what's shipping, what ad hoc solutions we've found, etc.
here's what i've found so far:
i-blason: liked it on N5. ships nov. 25
http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Kick...=1415220229&sr=8-2&keywords=nexus+6+belt+case
fosmon: never heard of them. looks like i-blason. ships dec. 1
http://www.amazon.com/Fosmon-STURDY...=1415220229&sr=8-7&keywords=nexus+6+belt+case
cellbee: never heard of them either. looks similar to the generic belt cases sold at verizon typically. ships nov. 25
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P1F0AX6?psc=1
supcase: i'll throw this one in here because it claims to be a belt case, but i see no evidence of this from either the pics or the description. ships nov. 29
http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Full-...=1415220229&sr=8-1&keywords=nexus+6+belt+case
apparently this one is now shipping. first one to ship i believe

Good thread! I just pulled for the Moko. Not only is it supposed to be here Wed, it's a bit cheaper. I use a Steelie in the car and I don't like having the magnet on the phone and in my pocket so instead of having two cases I will just put the Steelie mount on the belt case clip and use it while in the car. For day-to-day I'll use the Moko and not have to worry about switching cases. I hope this works with Qi too.
The Steelie works great in the car as a mount. For the Moto X 2013 I can leave the case with the magnet on and NFC tap-to-pay works. With the OnePlus One, the magnet works great and NFC works but tap-to-pay will not work with the magnet in place. That means if I want to tap-to-pay I have to use a case without the Steelie. I think this Moko arrangement will work a lot better since I won't have to keep changing cases.
Just ordered the case from amazon referred to above.. For 6 bucks, free shipping with prime, and expedited delivery, it's worth giving it a shot. Seems to come in two parts, a protective case plus a seperate belt clip holster for sliding the device in and out of.

from the pics it looks to have a belt clip... the only thing im not to fancy on is the built in screen protector and its added size... everything else looks good IMHO
Seidio Convert
This case is not available or even announced yet, but I'm guessing it's probably in the works right now. In my opinion, Seidio makes the most rugged case for Nexus phones, called the Convert, which comes with a holster/belt clip. I had one for my N4, which got stolen :crying:, and currently have it on my N5 (pic below). If Otterbox had made their Defender case for my Nexuses, I probably would have gotten that instead. The Convert has no built in screen protector and is kind of pricey, but has major protection.
Seidio Convert for Nexus 5:
http://www.seidioonline.com/lg-google-nexus-5-convert-value-pack-black-p/bd5-hkr4lgn5.htm
seidio is mia. i ve emailed them a dozen times with nothing more than "we're looking into it". can't wait. got the moko case and it looks like a winner, esp for $2
I ordered the moko for 2 dolla. Mainly just for when I'm at work. I ordered a dbrand skin for the back too. Hopefully it won't interfere with the case fitting. If it does...the case was 2 dollars. Lol.
actually...that moko case is a damn fine case. looks like it will do everything i need it to do. of course, i don't have the fn nexus 6 yet to test it in the field, but it looks like it'll do the job just fine. best $2 case EVER...
I would love seidio to make a case for the nexus 6 but all I got was the generic response too. " we are looking in to it". Its too bad because I love their spring clip on their holsters. I looked into moko and unicorn beetle but didn't like the release of either if them. The spring clip from seidio is the best.
received the i-blason case today. i thought it was identical to the moko case but there are several key differences to note:
1. rubber section is far thicker and of a better quality than the moko. the moko was driving me crazy with the amount of dust it was attracting. this one is a much harder/more durable rubber. it's MUCH better
2. having said that, because its thicker, the buttons are a bit harder to press, particularly the power. works perfectly mind you, just takes a bit more effort to press
3. the hard shell is slicker than the moko. hopefully this will wear off soon as its fairly slippery as it stands now
4. the belt clip section is a clip in rather than a slide in. only got it tonight so i have yet to try it in the field. seems secure enough, though not as secure as the slide in of the moko. the advantage here though is i can take this out of the clip MUCH faster than the moko
5. if you have the moko, you can use this on the moko slide in belt clip if you prefer. i'm going to try the clip in holster for a bit to see how i like it
overall, a very solid alternative to the moko, particularly if you were getting annoyed by the cheap rubber collecting dirt
I got the SupCase Unicorn Beetle from amazon on sell for $12 taxes n shipped yesterday, actually received my nexus yesterday too. I got that price because the case wasn't out yet when I ordered it so it had them listed for $7.99 at the time.
So far I am very impressed with the quality. The built in screen protector is actually useful and doesn't hinder the screen at all. I did notice a bit of glare under certain lighting but nothing too annoying.
It does come with a belt clip and its a bit different from what I had on my note 2 but so far its functional and very sturdy product. Highly recommend.

Please, if you have any other cases laying around, let us know if the holster would work with the Surface holster. On past phones, I know I could get other cases (not all) to work with Surface and Dilex holsters. I have the Supcase hybrid case now. If Amazon were selling the holster, Id buy it in a heartbeat to test, because I know I could easily return it to Amazon.
I got my Unicorn Beetle Pro this past monday and I'm impressed with the quality. The only real complaint that I have about it is that they didnt flatten out the back of the case so that the phone lays flat on a table or something. Most annoying thing ever to lay your phone on the desk and try to do something on it only to have it start wobbling away.
crackberry.com has the seidio active case for 31.95, ships 1/22, use coupon code JB15 for 10% off NOTE. The cases and holsters are sold seperately, great if you just want the holster, or just the case.

Hi all,
As most of you know, I've been testing out every case I can get my hands on. It's been more difficult this year, there doesn't seem to be as much choice and companies such as Spigen have really dragged their heels on getting cases out for this community. Here it is, my top 5 cases out at the moment which will do you proud.
1. Orzly Fusion Bumper
This case I've only had for a week or so and it's already risen to the top of my list. It's absolutely my favourite and I'll tell you why:
- Protects the case well.
- Adds extra grip to the phone.
- Combo's well with your favourite skin manufacturer (Xtreme, dBrand, Slick etc..)
Overall it's the best all round case, it's nowhere near as expensive as the official OnePlus stuff and it's my daily driver on the OnePlus 5.
2. Tudia OMNIX
Another latecomer to the party (in fact I've only just published the video on this one) but a fairly decent one. This case is my "if I'm going on a messy night out case."
What I mean by that, is that it provides excellent all round protection without completely compromising the use of the phone (like a flip case) It has a built in screen protector, which if used for longer stretches could get annoying and has port covers which makes the phone better protected against those accidental drops in beer.
3. Orzly Slim Stand Case
I'm rewarding Orzly here because of all the case manufacturers they seem to be the one taking risks on the OnePlus 5. Not only have they changed up their, FlexiCase, Wallet & Fusion designs they've produced an entirely new case for the OnePlus this year with the Slim Stand case.
The Slim Stand case make's it onto the list because it's not a case that I thought I'd like much when I saw it on Amazon. I ordered it, just so I could do a review and then probably stick it back in it's box. However to my surprise I've really enjoyed using this case. It's given me the functionality of a more traditional flip case, without the annoying "flip" element.
It feels really premium in the hand and uses the phones beauty and elegance to it's advantage. It's also a really handy case for those of you still playing Pokemon Go as you can use the stand to rest your finger through when you're out walking!
4. Spigen Rugged Armor
Spigen make it onto the list, even though they're main cases are still slated for release in September. Months after the phone was released! Imagine how much further they'd be up if they'd put some effort in!
Those of you which have had the Rugged Armor in the past know what to expect. It's premium at a reasonable price and it'll do what it says on the packaging, which is add extra grip and impact protection. It help's that it looks pretty nice also!
It can be said that you could probably get the Orzly FlexiCase for a little cheaper if you wanted to save some pennies.
5. OnePlus Silicone Red Case
I initially loved this case, but my love waned the longer I had it on the phone. This is very much a "showpiece" case with little utility, but if you've been racking up those referral points, already purchased the backpack then this would be my next choice. It feels super on the phone, adds some welcome colour- just don't leave it on for too long or it'll start to fade and feel tacky!
Thanks,
Let me know if you have any questions!

I'm trying to take into consideration cost vs effectiveness. At least for me, the Otterbox is far too expensive to make it worth purchasing over any of these cases!
Do you feel the ring on the back of the Orzly Slim Stand Case, prevents you from laying the phone down screen side up because it would make the phone 'uneven'?
I really don't like laying my phone down facedown. Seems counterintuitive in my head if I'm trying to protect the screen from scratches.
Also, does the ring on the back keep the phone from sliding in and out of your pocket smoothly?
^That first point is what stopped me from continuing to use my Spigen Style ring.
