Can't get S-OFF, revone fails - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hi, I have an AT&T HTC One 32GB and using a laptop with Ubuntu.
Bootloader says:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.44.0000
I'm trying to get S-OFF in an attempt to convert this to a GPE device. To do this, I'm trying to use revone.
When running revone -P as per this guide I get this output:
Code:
[email protected]:/ # cd /data/local/tmp/
[email protected]:/data/local/tmp # ls
revone
[email protected]:/data/local/tmp # chmod 755 revone
[email protected]:/data/local/tmp # ./revone -P
revone v0.2.1
revone failed (error code = 2)
I also don't know if this is related but ever since I rooted my phone, the wi-fi won't turn on. I haven't flashed any other ROMs, just a custom recovery.
I would love any possible help. Thank you. If any additional information helps I'll give as much as I can.

ATT HTC one s-off
I'm having the same issue with my HTC one trying Revone from Windows 7. I have the same bootloader info, same Revone error 2 result, and same problem with the wi-fi.
My wi-fi worked after root until I tried to set s-off. Now it won't turn on, seems to be stuck and my camera is also dead. I have tried flashing a new ROM per the HTCdev website in the hope that it would clear the issue but nothings gets accepted.

You prob have newer hboot 1.44 you can downgrade to the older on and then s off its just of you get on 1.54 you can't use revone

I have hboot 1.44.0000 Same as OP. I don't think it can get any older unless the revisions don't go in order for some reason. I could be wrong though.

I just did S-off on my ONE that I'm gonna send back to ATT for a warranty exchange. It was 1.44 and I used revone and a video that qbking had on youtube. I just did it all on my phone with a terminal emulator. He spells it all out on that video. Check it out
Now I just need to learn to lock my bootloader and run an RUU...

Yeah, I saw that video and tried it as well. Still no luck. Still getting error 2.

Don't do it they will switch your chip and send s-on at least that's what HTC USA in Houston Texas did to me

Locked bootloader after rumrunner

I achieved s-off but now my bootloader is "locked" again... I was also able to supercid after I got s-off.
Do I need to unlock the bootloader again since I have s-off? And if so do I have to go through the htcdev steps or just "fastboot oem unlock"? Since I am security off now.

S-Off is better than unlocked. You don't need to unlock it again, but if you want to, just re-run unlock.bin from a cmd.
Did you use rev one? If you did try doing all steps again but instead of ./ revone -P, try ./ revone - t.

No used rumrunner one click setup. I'm fine with it being locked as long as s-off supercedes everything.

[Q] OK I give, 4 days trying now

I hate to ask, but I'm totally lost now. I've been trying to unlock this bootloader for 4 days, I've tried every method on the forums, Googled my ass off, And i still can't get this thing unlocked.
I've run moonshine, facepalm, rumrunner, all to no avail. tried jcases method and at least got the cid to change to 11111111

What type of computer and OS are you using?
I would RUU back to a clean, stock 1.15, take all the updates to 4.2.2/Sense 5, then do rumrunner.

I managed to RUU back to 1.15. Gonna try to update it to 4.2.2 and rumrunner it again.
I'm on Win7 x64
I used rumrunner without a problem. Uninstall all files and re download and try again. Something is corrupt in your files.

I did that exact process on Win7 x64 with success. Biggest hassle was installing the drivers and getting adb to work. I didn't want to install the full HTC Sync Manager (the only download offered by HTC which comes bundled with the drivers) so I found them here on XDA. I think I used the latest one from this thread (HTCDriver_4.2.0.001.exe, don't worry about the BMP files mentioned in the instructions)

You can always install HTC sync manager then uninstall it right after and it will leave the drivers installed. Definetly get updated to 4.2.2 and use rumrunner it works great and it will not format your phone to unlock it.
So I figured it out. The main issue was I could not get the SuperCID to take. The apk just would not work I got it to change to 11111111 using jcase's method, and then I used WinDroid Toolkit to change it to 22222222. Then I ran moonshine on it again and BAM! moonshine S-OFF again! Thanks for you guy's suggestions and time.

Guess next step is going to htcdev and unlocking the bootloader correct?

HTC One (AT&T M7) I Need Help With S-OFF To S-ON

I apologize in advance if there is already a thread on this subject. I checked but did not find anything.
I'm trying to switch my phone from s-off to s-on.
I'm following a guide from wonder how to (cannot post link)
When I type "adb push revone /data/local/tmp/" and click enter I get this message:
"adb is not recognized as an internal command"
My phone is an HTC One (M7 AT&T)
Have USB debugging on
Fastboot checked off
Windows 7 (64 bit)
Running 4.1.2
I had to factory wipe/reset my phone because it was fully encrypted. I'm just trying to unroot and relock my device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

You don't need to go s-on to unroot or relock bootloader. If you read any of the horror stories threads about bricked devices you'll find that many of them begin with the phrase I went back to s-on and then (insert story about brick...). It sounds like you're kind of a novice at this, which is ok, but do yourself a favor and leave the phone s-off.
Now if you're trying to return to stock, there's and excellent thread by @nkk71 on the subject here.
If you give us some details on what exactly you are trying to accomplish we can point you in the right direction.

I'm used to working with iOS devices so android is still a bit new to me. I don't even remember how I rooted and unlocked my phone. I just remember I had a lot of issues and a little luck.haha
Basically I'm trying to return the phone to stock. I looked up multiple guides and most of them said to first turn s-off to s-on (that's why I thought I had to do that.)
I looked at the guide and I don't know the steps of what to do from here.
My bootloader screen says:
TAMPERED
UNLOCKED
PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT- 1.44.000
it doesn't say my CID or MID.

Well your bootloader says that your already s-on, so the only way to remove the tampered and unlocked flags is to s-off, probably using revone since you have 1.44 hboot, and then using revone to lock and remove tampered. There's an entire thread on revone that outlines how to do that, just search for it.

Sorry to barge in, you're in excellent hands with @cschmitt already, just a few comments to save some trouble (in case you run into any):
you can get the mini-sdk for windows from here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407585867
and you need to be in the folder you extracted these files, to be able execute to adb/fastboot commands.
revone works great with this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48955645&postcount=251
Note, that bootloader date has to be before June 2013, otherwise it's a patched 1.44 version and revone will not work.
in which case you either have to use rumrunner and/or firewater, or even the old ATT downgrade method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394155

[Q] rumrunner (no adb connection to device)

I get the following error when trying to s-off with rumrunner
ERROR: run rumrunner again and READ (no adb connection to device. Debugging on? Drivers?)
but adb can see a device, run commands and linux does not require dirvers.
Debugging is on.
Battery Power saver, sleep mode and Fastboot is off.
adb works when booted and fastboot works in the boot loader.
adb logcat will Alarm manager will show a Partial wake lock form time to time. Not sure if the partial wake lock is normal or not.

Thanks for the reply
I rebooted several times, used different cables, usb ports, directories and set PATH too.
Ever since I ran the HTCdev unlock binary I have been getting a strange error on reboot.

Should I do a factory reset re run HtcDev unlock or???

So you did the HtcDev unlock, dumb question, but did you get root before trying to run rumrunner?
(ADB can see the device, but perhaps since it doesn't have access to root, it's not allowing the exploit to run is what my logic is)

Yes, root is another process then achieving S-Off, but if you don't already have root, you're going to have trouble getting S-off with rumrunner.
If your setup couldn't get a custom recovery to flash (Assume you used http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-601/orig-development/recovery-twrp-2-8-0-0-touch-recovery-t2874948 specifically modified for kitkat) , you're probably not going to achieve S-off with this method.

Hello guys, new on unlocking androids and these things, I want to learn and get more involved in this community.
For now I just gotta a problem and can't find the answer over the internet. My problem is that I wanna buy the best buy at&t blue htc one m7, but I will be using in Colombia in another network, do I need to buy a plan in the USA to get the best buy version?, or just pay the 200 dollars and that's it?. Is it easy to unlock it and make it work in Colombia?, there is an unlocked at&t blue on amazon but they charge me a hundred dollars more, is it worth it?
Sorry for being a little lost here,

I'm trying to unlock & S-off my new phone. Maybe someone can help? Android 4.1.2 HBoot 1.44
tried revone stock
got some error
installed weaksause & superSU to get root
tried revone a few more times
now I get error -6
Is there anything specific to AT&T devices that I'm missing? (I'll post in the revone thread or start a new one if I can't get it)
Thx

You need to use Rumrunner to s-off your phone
I ran this RUU first then rumrunner
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...13_10.38j.1157.04_release_334235_signed_2.exe
install custom rom
I got mine today.
hboot 1.55
unlocked bootloader, installed 2.8 twrp, rooted, and s-off
android ver 4.3
software ver 3.17.502.3
radio: 4T.20.3218.13
to install the maximushd 46 or any custom rom, do I just download the zip and install from SDcard?
or is it much easier to update the stock rom to 4.4.2 (any directions will be greatly appreciated)
I am such a newbie please bear with me.
I bought a blue one a few days ago, love it, but had trouble getting S-Off. I bought it to use on T-Mobile. I submitted an unlock request to AT&T through their website and am waiting on a reply. If that fails I'll just buy an unlock code. I wish I would have found this thread sooner.
hboot 1.55
android ver 4.3
software ver 3.17.502.3
radio: 4T.20.3218.13
Unlocked bootloader with htcdev.com no problem. Flashed custom recovery with twrp 2.8.74.0-m7 and root with UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.45.
I could not for the life of me get revone or rumrunner to work, revone -P would fail (even as su), rumrunner would say cleaning skunky rum and have a progress bar where it would request su (granted it) and fail. I tried firewater and it wouldn't run after being pushed to the device. After that I used SunShine ($25) and that was painless and finally got S-Off.
I changed the CID to T-MOB010, I also used MID_Change_1.01 to set MID to PN0713000 (under custom recovery). I was able to flash TMOUS_3.24.531.3 Zip, bringing it to factory recovery, and it did a few OTAs being around 600MB each bringing it to TMOUS_6.10.531.10. For fun I tried to install TMOUS_6.10.531.10 Exe, and it wouldn't continue unless the CID was 11111111.
To switch back to AT&T, I set CID CWS__001 and MID PN0712000 (under custom recovery), flash Cingular_US_3.17.502.3 Zip and I can then flash Cingular_US_3.17.502.3 Exe but not Cingular_US_4.18.502.7 Exe. I can't seem to get any OTA with 3.17.502.3 but I don't have a valid AT&T sim card. I'm pretty new to this stuff and I'll probably just stick to the GPE 5.0.1 Zip (works great).
