Hey guyz, some time ago VLC released their official beta app for android. But unluckily our device was not supported (darn you armv6). But thanks to some amazing devs, it got ported to armv6 devices. Here is the download link http://www.mediafire.com/?dbpun5ht2b46fb0 It was originally posted on a galaxy y website. P.S --> only tested on Ice Cream Sandwich. Videos running flawlessly on ICS. Must work on others too.
Is it working fine on our galaxy3 with CM 7.2 ROM..

That is not jelly bean! The build numb is still 6.1! I think Jelly bean will be 6.2 or higher

Hi,
I'm thinking about purchasing an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 from Newegg. I will not be signing up for any plans--just using the phone "as is" for research purposes.
It looks like it the S3 comes with Android OS 4.0.4 (ICS). Will this phone prompt me to update it to Jelly Bean once I receive it (even without a provider)?

I suggest u to go with the Google nexus devices ,then u get what ever updated by google

Thanks for the info... will look into the Nexus 4...
So after installing ANDROID 4.4.2 on my CANVAS HD.. I installed some applications from Xposed Installer and now I cannot activate them. The only applications activated are Gravity Box, etc which came pre-installed in the ROM. Please tell me what to do.

Android 4.4.2 ??? On which ROM are you ?? Android 4.4.2 ROMs will be coming in Q2 2014.... Currently only one 4.4.2 ROM is available i.e. CM 11 and the screenshot is not of CM 11 !! Please check properly and then ask your problem....

Android L is not yet fully released. Not for Nexus even.
There is just Developer Preview released which is very unstable.
Real Android L will come out near September/October.
Then you can port it.
1. To port a ROM, there should be a base with SAME Android version. So porting is not possible.
2. You CANNOT use CM11 as base.
CM11 is Kitkat 4.4.x Android L is different version.
