Memory full issue - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

After I installed my last app I got a message about 1.mb of storage left but I am currently at 7gb free. I tried clearing as much cache as I can and still get it if I install an app. I am running the beans rom and never had problems till now. I also clear cache and dalvik in recovery.

There ya go

Complete 16gb is not alocated for device storage.... you should move pictures, videos etc on sdcard

The pictures are not the problem since I have all my pictures on my sd card anyway. Also when I click on the pic, video it brings me to the gallery where all my pics are in folders on my sd.
And also I've tried uninstalling a few apps such as flipboard which was using around 200mb and still get the error. Also here is a screen shot of the issue.

Update. I went and wiped cache, data, system and internal storage (had an update anyway) and it is still there after restoring my apps.

I got the same thing yesterday, no idea where it's coming from.

Reset Music App

Since flashing to TazzFroyo the Music app displays all of my music twice. Not only that but it also displays the back cover of the album. Is there any way to reset the apps database?
Sent from my Froyo Eris using XDA App
You were supposed to wipe the phone before flashing that. Backup your SD card and format it too.
Wipe my SD card?
Sent from my Froyo Eris using XDA App
Wipe your phone to factory/wipe dalvik in your recovery manager and format the SD card.
Reading comprehension owns me.
Happened to me when I applied apps2sd in a Rom that I flashed. Pain in the ass but after 20 minutes I deleted all the copies lol

Please help with storage problems

Hey guys,
I'm having a weird thing happen with my internal storage on my phone.
I'm using stock XWLP7 firmware.
When I try and install an app it says I haven't got enough space, it tells me to delete 1.6gb (I'm trying to install a large Gameloft game)
Sure enough I look in settings-storage and I only have around 700mb available, but I should have ALOT more...... Where has it all gone?
I'm totally stumped and would be very great full for some help.
Here's a screen shot to explain my issue.
If I deduct the used memory from my total 11.49gb I should have 9.8gb spare! It tells me I only have 745mb available, does anyone know where it's gone? lol
Or why this happens?
Thank you guys!

Get app called sd maid and go through each section clearing stuff.
If you got cwm, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, fix permissions and reboot.
Thats all i can offer, it may work!?
IRONY = XDA app, buggy and doesn't work properly!
Mod Edit - do not advocate warez
Thank you for your advice
I already have pro version if SD maid and regularly go through each section deleting stuff.
I also regularly wipe cache and dalvik cache. Probably do them both almost every other day!
Fix permissions whenever I install an app and I also zipalign all my apps.
So I don't really know what's going on..... It's really puzzling me.

The free storage displayed by the system usually only reflects the sdcards partition status, while the low space warning is probably talking about your /data/ partition.

Link2SD

I want one answer who I hope can solve all my doubts.
I installed Link2SD (v. 2.4.2, the latest).
I have about 25-30 apps, but they aren't all heavy (the heaviest is probably Subway Surfers, which is about 30 MB, but I also have got some apps which doesn't occupy neither 1 MB).
So I linked all the apps (both those which were in the internal memory, both those which were in SD card), and the internal memory busy showed in Settings -> Apps -> Apps Management was about 90 MB.
But I have one question: it's better link the apps to SD or move them?
My friend Woft says if I move the apps, it only move the apk, but the data will remain on the internal memory, and if I link them, it move all on the SD (apk and data). Is that the truth or there is some mistakes?
Another thing: why when I wipe the Dalvik Cache, the internal memory who before is 90 MB, it become 147 MB? (I wipe by the recovery mode).
I hope in an your answer and I'm sorry for my bad english, but I'm italian.
Hey bro the better option is to link the app.don't move the app to sd.linking a app is better than moving
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda premium
if you will move the apps, widgets wont work for that app..
so better link the app.
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda app-developers app
Yes thats the Truth and just like they said. Linking is better. Good luck with that :good:
Is better to link the apps.
Clear cache and dalvik cache once a day.
The cache of the apps takes a lot of memory. XDA app haves like 12mb of cache.

Before and after cleaning cache.
Hit thanks if I helped.

Clearing the cache will only mean data is redownloaded, and the cache recreated when needed. It's a good idea if you're not planning to use the app, but if you're using it regularly, you might as well make use of that cache and clear it less often.
As for the dalvik-cache, once a day is overkill. You shouldn't have to do that ever, basically, but sometimes due to linking it's not cleared correctly. Considering it's rare enough, once a week (or more) is enough IMO.

Low memory

I dont like to use the facebook app, just the browser. On alll cm or aosp roms, i get an error, unavle to perform do to low memory, when i try to upload a photo. Anyone else have this issue?

[Q] Gallery problems

So I had pictures everywhere (multiple folders on sd card, and on the phone memory) with multiple folders in the gallery.. I decided to combine them all in less folders to clear things up using file manager.. after doing that it's still showing the old folders. I have tried clearing the cache in the app manager, the dalvik cache and cache in recovery, tried deleting the cache folder in file manager. No luck whatsoever. Anyone have this happen to them? Solution?

Nobody at all?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
Did you try clearing gallery's data? Im pretty sure its required to do so
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Tried that also. Basically I've tried clearing everything, all the cache, data. I've force stopped the gallery after doing that and also tried rebooting after clearing that.. I'm running hyperdrive rom and it comes with 2 galleries and the both do the same thing so there has to be a saved cache somewhere in the phone. I can't seem to find it
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
So after a lot of trial and error, I figured out what I did wrong. When I first set up my phone, I used autostarts to stop a bunch of harmless things (so I thought) and ended up stopping the automatic update for the gallery. So if anyone else is having this problem check that..
