I have the three AT&T SBF's and I just softbricked my Atrix. I put it in RSD Mode, and went to give RSD my SBF file, but now it says on status: Error validating image file. Anyway I can fix this?
Is it an AT&T Atrix? Where did you get the SBF files from, and what version of RSD are you using?

I was using RSDLite 5.0. It seems that my SBF file was corrupted by PowerArchiver, and I was using the wrong mode of RSD on my bricked AT&T Atrix. Once I corrected those, it started working again

Hi,

any one please help or suggestion..
Mphoneclinic
I tried to unlock the bootloader using RSD, which failed.
Since then my Atrix has been restarting at odd times.
I decided to do a factory reset & now i get a mssage when it restart
failed to boot 2 starting RSD mode, message & it just sits there.
I tried Andriod Recovery & get Failed to boot 2 message.
The phone does boot back in to normal mode if I restart as normal
Im on 2.2.2 Firmware on a Sim Free UK phone. Rooted.
How can i fix this?
Thanks
Looks like you have a soft brick. You can flash a stock ROM using RSD Lite.
Check this thread to find the correct firmware.
I have downloaded the T-mobile sbf but RSD isn't seeing it.
My device is on froyo - are these files gingerbread?
Ok got rsd to see file.
I flashed stock sbf file with rsd but it failed again.
Could really do with some help here, please.
Was hoping for more help than just one reply, thanks to ertz for that, especially after 70 views, Oh well.
I have sorted Atrix now & back up & running.

omg ok this is bad news basically after you root you shood never use ota (over the air updates ), my suggestion is to
look @the fruitcake sbf files and see if there is one for your specs and flash it with rsd lite use the stock sbf should be safest but the damage is allready done

What are you talking about? Rooting doesn't damage your phone if you then try to OTA. There is no "damage" done.
To the OP, just flash the correct factory SBF file for your phone through RSD Lite and you should be good to go. Check the Korean version of the Motorola site, (if there is one).
Example for US: http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-EN/Android_Products/ATRIX-4G_Software_Update_Page
Semi-bricked: PIT upload failed in Heimdall/Odin, cannot flash anything; cannot mount/wipe cache in CWM...any ideas, how do I check whether the eMMC chip is fried or not? Thanks.
You probably have done all this a thousand times but I would redownload your files again and follow droudstyles guide to the t and see if you catch a mistake or something. These are pretty hard to brick.

Yes, it's still alive, I can get into CWM and download mode. The experts out there...please?
Based on trying to help in your previous thread I know I can't do much more to help you get your device working again. All I can do at this point is point you in the direction of Gizmodroid who was a pretty regular and reliable guy around here for awhile before his screen shattered. I have no idea if he is still looking for a replacement, but you might want to reach out to him if you decide to sell it for parts.
Since everything else has failed, Unbrickable Mod may be your only option. But it is not for the feint of heart and won't help you if the flash memory is truly corrupted.
The weirdest thing. I tried to flash the ED05 Heimdall package AGAIN today, and IT WORKED (repartition unchecked). But, then I tried flashing CWM with Heimdall and it failed. I had to reboot the device and of course it's semi-bricked again (now it's back to stock recovery) and I get this error when I try to re-flash ED05 (or anything):
Initialising connection...
Detecting device...
ERROR: Failed to retrieve config descriptor
What is going on??
anybody knows of this error message (Failed to retrieve config descriptor) in Heimdall, please?
Hi,
Is there any place where I can get a ROM in tar format fot the GT-P7500 so I can flash it with Odin?
I have searched everywhere and all I can find are ZIP files or broken links to TAR files.
The ROM in my P7500 was bad and I can not make it to boot or being seen by my Pc other than using ODIN.
I'll appreciate any help!
Thanks in Advance
Marcelo

Just to "chime in".
Is there a thread/site, where Non-Stock-ROMs for Odin are linked?

Thanks eushaun99,
I've had terrible experience trying to download a file from sammobile / terafile without a Premium account. More than 6 hours downloading just to realize the file was bad.
I read many posts talking about sammoible for stock ROMs. Available ROMs files for downloading are ZIP files, not TAR or MD5.
Before paying for a Premium Account... Do you know if ZIP file contains any TAR or MD5 file in it as those are the file type I need to flash my P7500 with ODIN?
Thanks!

You don't have to buy the premium account. Admittedly I haven't tried downloading from terafile yet, but I guess the download speed could be due to your internet connection maybe?
Once you've downloaded the zip file, extract it. The .tar.md5 file is inside.

Just to wrap it up in case it helps anybody else....
I wasn't able to download the ROM from sammobile / terafile, transfers ended up with timeouts or Network errors even with Premium Account. Anyway, I don't have such a problem with any other site.
I was able to flash the ROM I have (that failed with CWM) using "adb sideload rom_filename.zip". The tool transferred the ROM and installed it.
Best Regards
my samsung tablet is not bootable !!
can you send me this adb sideload rom_filename.zip ROM please ?
I followed all the steps in to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48973460#post48973460
but the cyanogenmod custom ROM failed to install on my samsung tablet p7510, and I didn't backup the original rom and there is no system to reboot it now !! is there another tool to transfer ROM to install it ??

I was having similar problems recently, w/ my tab, w/ sammobile, w/ terafile, w/broken links, etc. Very frustrating, I felt like I was running around in circles & getting no where. Then I saw a suggestion (I thought it was on this thread actually) to go to Chainfire's website & odin flash the appropriate files found there. I did & worked like a charm. Only problem is I can't seem to replicate that "Web journey" so that I could link you to it. Like I mentioned earlier I was "running around" the web like crazy trying to figure this out and simply can't remember my exact steps. But, I hope this information at least gets you headed in the right direction.

Hi, excuse me for the late response!
The ROM I used to flash my P7500 with adb is the CM ROM from the following post... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098429
I have followed all steps in that post but I had to install Android SDK in order to use adb instead of Odin. Flashing with adb was so fast that I thought I did something wrong, but after rebooting the installation began and completed successfully.
I wasn't able to download any sideload ROM from sammobile, sorry.
I downloaded Android SDK from here: https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
You don't need to completed all mentioned steps just to get adb, just install the platform tools.
Hope this help!
Best Regards,
Marcelo
I have the same problem. How can I fix this tab to boot and install a rom directly from odin. Can anyone help me?

I need 4.0.4 firmware for GT-P5700 but can't find it for Nigeria, Can I use 4.0.4 for another country to flash my Tab?
Re:
Hi, sorry for refreshing an old post but I am in the same situation. On sammobile.com I can't find any firmware for gt-p7500. My device is almost empty, twrp working but I can't download anything on it. I think Odin is my only chance. Thanks in advance.
TWRP must work with MTP mode. Transfer files from your computer via USB.
