I don't believe it will install for you since it is not a stock recovery.
Thanks

Just install the update as a stock ROM. Worked for me in TWRP:

In my case, when I updated from ICS, JB was rooted too (I think). I don't know exactly because when I updated and made nandroid backup, I flashed the Deodexed JellyBean that ckpv5 uploaded. Did you try to install superuser/supersu like in ICS?

Well, I updated mine with a nandroid backup from another phone (same CID) that was rooted, and I updated another DX of a friend of mine that was rooted too so I guess you can update without unrooting too :fingers-crossed:

I meant, that I didn't flash superuser zip directly via recovery, but opened a preinstalled SuperSu in prerooted ROM, it asked me to update su binary and gave me the option to flash via TWRP / CWM, so I used that.

thats not what i meant. what i want is you on a completely fresh stock jb rom and kernel. then try to root via flashing superuser.zip through recovery and i wanna if it works or not.
i do know that flashing superSU via recovery in JB works. but i do not know if superuser works too or not
Hey I don't have s off. But I have a problem with updating my root binaries. If I were to flash a stock 4.3 Rom would I need to have s off first ? I tried using a Rom last time and it didn't finishing installing. So I bricked. Sorry. I'm sort of a noob about some things.

your phone was not bricked ...you had a windows 8.1 pc and could not fix it that's all.
S-off gives you the ability to flash firmware and RUU for any version including downgrading. You don't need s-off to just flash roms.

after flashing the OTA do i need to flash boot.img or after flashing the OTA.zip the phone will restart normally.
Since you are already using the same ROM
Its not required to flash boot.IMG again
But u can flash the stock recovery again and relock the bootloader if you feel that HTC gonna update again

Yes, but if he doesn't install the custom recovery he has already taken the OTA update. To reinstall that OTA update, just reset the phone to factory. No need for all this hassle.

Does anybody has the copy of Stock Recovery img file for Htc One AT&T?
I'm trying to find it too, one that I can flash using only the phone, through bootloader or TWRP. I downloaded the 4.4 OTA, but forgot that I need to flash back to the stock recovery.

Hi all. I am on stock Rom. My phone is rooted and I installed touch recovery. When I do a software update, the phone downloads the update and after that reboots into recovery. It did not proceed with the update. May I know how do get the update working? Thanks in advance!
