Overall the case fits really good. Thin but enough to protect with smaller bumps. Has a lay on the table design though not the thickest lip to protect the screen. One thing I did find was that a hole near the headphone jack was covered so I took a small drill bit and opened it up. I think it might be a mic? Also my HP touchpad usb as well as an HTC usb cord had difficulties plugging into the phone with the case on, the Samsung cord is fine. Anyways this is a clear with grey trim model on a white N3

Thanks for the review. Can you please describe the materials used and the texture and finish on the various surfaces of the case? Which parts are matte and which if any are glossy?
The most of the back is matte polycarbonate with just a little area of gloss just before it touches the gray TPU material. The gray TPU material is matte except for a small portion of the lip that protects the screen.

Looks like seller contacted me on Amazon and is sending me a new model with the mic cutout. I will update again once I receive it.
Could you please tell me how tight the sides are around the bezel of the case. Is it flimsy like other tpu cases?
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm using a Caseology case now. The bezel on the supcase is fairly stiff I'm not sure as to what degree compared to other cases. The bezel on the supcase feels stiffer than the one on my Caseology case. The one thing I didn't like was the frosted back was a bit slippery. Not horrible, but not as grippy as the one im using now.

Not flimsy at all, theyre snug and firm. I got one of these myself, fortunately mine did come with all the cutouts. After having it for about a month and half now though, the gray has started to pick up some reddish color off of something. The one major and I mean major cause it bugs the crap out of me, is that the center ridges that stick out on the back stick out more then the ends. This causes the phone to wobble when you press the home button or text while its on a table. I've fixed it with hot glue, but aesthetically it's not as pleasing.
I got it in black along with the white Spigen Slim Armor and the black Caseology cases. On my black Note 3, I like the white Slim Armor better but my family and coworkers tell me that they prefer the Supcase Unicorn Beetle. The Supcase Unicorn Beetle also has a place to attache a wrist strap while the others do not. My least favorite is the Caseology case. It has cutouts for the buttons and the fake texture on the back is HORRIBLE.
Oh, and I also have an ugly Bear Motion bumper case (same as some other "Poetic" brand that we see floating around here). It's wouldn't be so bad if it were straight matte black but they made the rubbery bits gray and the black plastic bits high gloss.

Great Deal.

I was gonna say the same thing. The $15 is the regularly found price on Amazon. When I read the title I thought, cool 40% off Amazon's price, gonna get me one.. But the OP adds $6 shipping.
Oh well.

Picked up the blue one to wrap around my white Note - should look pretty good. I have the Elago Slim now, which is essentially the same thing, but the blue is pretty dark, not quite the look I was going for.

ordered a blue one as well for my white note
had one for my nexus loved it , gonna order one.

I'm trying to decide between the Elago slim and the Incipio. Which one do you prefer, and which one gives the highest side ridge to protect the screen? Thanks.

The Elago feels stiffer and less rubbery. It also has a higher side ridge (if your glass is naked, the surface would actually touch the case instead of the face).
The Incipio has more flex and feels felt-like. The blue color looks great compared to the dark blue of the Elago.
At the end of the day, I'm leaning towards the Incipio for the looks.
I've ordered a few of the Ebay slim, ultra thin, hard back covers. There is a glossy version that looks great. Once I get them off the slow boat, I will post some pictures.
I'm trying to avoid the soft, velvety, rubber coated ones, as they tend to scrape off..
i gotta say this thing is pretty nice, real thin, almost like having no case at all. Was messing around with it earlier and seems like if i ever broke/lost/crack my back cover i can just use this thing as a back cover since it skin tight.

Yes, I have both and the Incipio's side ridges are just shy of the edge of the Note, whereas the Elago is just a bit higher than it.
While they both do a good job protecting the shiny metal part of the frame, only the Elago would protect the glass if you were to lay the phone down on a flat surface face down, since it would be resting on the case whereas the Incipio case would not be tall enough to do the same.
I still prefer the Incipio for the color (Vibrant blue looks sexy against my white Note) and the fact that there isn't a cutout for the Korean antenna (Elago has one).

Which one is easier to take off?
BTW, I contacted Incipio and they have no plans for a white version of the Feather...bummer.
Neither are rubber. The Incipio has more of a "felt" like feel to it. I suspect it's some kind of rubberized coating that will probably peel off over time.
Both are easy to come off - just have to pry at a corner, then move all the way down the side.
I wasn't finding many bumper cases besides aluminum versions out there so I decided to try out a generic one I found on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170818419766&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1123
It was $5.99 including shipping. They have a few other colors available. The description is for "Samsung Galaxy Note i9220, n7000", but it fits the i717 great.

The black rubber buttons over the volume and power buttons make everything easy to press.
I like how the black outlines the front of the Note. The case fits mostly snug although mine is a little loose at the top (giving a slight wave on the black as it runs along the top)
I wasn't sure about white on white, but I think it works.
I had a SGP Neo Hybrid EX on my GSII and loved it. This case is definitely not as good quality, but is good for the money and will do until I find just the right one.
Edit: After several weeks of use, my only complaint is the soft black rubber can come apart from the harder white plastic. A little super glue takes care of it. I use it in a car mount that squeezes on the sides so that probably makes the problem worse.
Looks pretty good, I'm definitely interested. Why is that top corner exposed though? Maybe put a zagg full body or something on it and you'd be pretty secure.
How tight is it? I have a GLAS.t glass screen protector and I wonder if it would still fit.

It is flexible and while snug not tight so I don't think another 0.4mm thickness would cause problems.
My SGP Neo Hybrid EX for the GSII (I bought the non-US version of the case because I didn't want to wait ) had the same open area on the corner. I believe some countries have an option for an external or retractable antenna that pops out there.

I didn't even know such a product existed. I found a few others on ebay. I'm thinking of getting a less bulky case. Right now I'm using the seidio active. I'm afraid of breaking anything because I dropped it the first week and cracked my screen ($200 replacement!) so I bought the glass screen protector for my new one. I think this would be the perfect level of protection and still keep it looking good and slim. I'm not as worried about the battery cover as you can just buy a new one for $13 off eBay.
Thanks for the review and the link. It's nice to see that this is a US seller with excellent feedback score.

Antenna for Korea. The i9220 is their version. Case looks nice, I like the bumper look...but still has the lip to protect it
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
I took my case on and off a few times over the weekend playing with uSD cards and another battery. I noticed one corner of the case looked funny (it came up over the screen more than it should). The black soft rubbery material had pulled away from the white harder material on that corner. A little super glue fixed it, but thought I would let others know. Still OK for a total of $5.99. If anyone finds a quality TPU/rubber type bumper case, please post a link.
good find...just bought one!
I also just ordered one! $6? Worth a shot at that price...

I made this grip case out of a cheap TPU case and some neoprene fabric I had lying around.
It works really well!
Here's how I did it:
Cut some neoprene (or any thick stretchy) fabric 5cm x 12cm
Get a needle, some pliers and a gas or electric stove (gas works faster)
Hold the needle with the pliers and heat the pointy tip until it is red hot
Then, poke a hole into the back of the TPU case, this is where you're going to sew it on
Poke a row of 10 holes at the bottom
Poke another row of 10 holes just under the camera
When threading the needle, do a "double thread" meaning, run 2 threads into the hole instead of one. This way, you are sewing double the amount of threads and it should be more strong.
I sewed the neoprene on in one direction and then back again
Do this for the top and the bottom.
You're done!
This case costed me <$5 since I bought the TPU case on Amazon on sale. My TPU case is rough because my initial idea was to glue the neoprene onto the back so I roughed it up, but I didn't think that would be strong enough to hold, plus it just seemed hard to glue in place since the neoprene would be stretched out.
I really like this type of case because:
It's very secure.
It's not bulky.
It comes on and off easy if I need to swap the battery.
It lies down flat without any issues.
It works just fine in any car mount.
It works just fine with wireless charging.
In addition, I added a tempered glass protector on the front, so my phone is protected on all sides. I bought the .40mm 9H glass protector from aliexpress.com for $6 shipped.
If you can't sew, they make cases like this except they're really expensive, and the strap isn't very wide at all. I think mine is superior to the ones you can buy because the strap is wider but the whole thing is less bulky than a FlyGrip or other brand name options.
Obviously, a bulky case will offer more protection but the best protection is to prevent yourself from dropping the phone in the first place.

Good to see some DIY stuff on here. I won't try it, as i'd surely end up poking myself more than the case with that needle.
Looks bad but make a real production and it might be useful for someone else.

first photo left to right razer rugged, orzly leather folio case, orzly thin black ,orzly thin frosted, 2nd photo tudia case and razer thin. I'm currently using one of the 2 tudias I bought as they are similar to a spigen slim armour ruggedized TPU with a polycarb snap on back armour, anyone wanting full pics of the cases and how much each costs from where I'll be uploading pics of each case to my drive account so people can see before they buy there are lots of other cases mainly TPU appearing on Amazon, but for anyone who hasn't bought a case I'll try and get each one done over the next day or 2

how do you like the tudias? can you post more pics of those
I'm using the tudia with the silver back breaks up the all the black it looks good doesn't add much bulk , the finger print reader port has been thoughtfully scalloped away to make using it easier, the cylinder buttons work flawlessly, even with an orzly screen protector there's a good .5 mm clearance from it to the desk when face down and about 1mm all round when face down so the speakers are kept clear of the desk cut outs are precise good clearance on back to protect camera .

I just received my orzly case today and I gotta say I'm a little disappointed. I bought the "clear" one which I found out later was actually frosted, and unlike the pics show, it's pretty much nowhere clear clear.. You can see the Razer symbol, but that's about it. I'm definitely ordering the tudia clear shortly, my original idea was to wrap the phone with a dbrand then use the clear case as extra protection, but you ain't seeing anything through this thing lol

have to say if the clear is the same quality as this rugged case it'll be a nice case for showcasing your phone with a skin without damaging the skin

I bought the Razer Rugged case however was fine the fact that it left a weird lip at the bottom of my phone just didn't feel natural to hold so gone back to using the phone without a case.
I know living life of the edge but don't have a habit of cosmetically damaging my phone's.
I didnt like the phone in a case either but couldnt live on the edge any longer, I dropped my last phone a day before the delivery of my razer.
Ive made a suede case for the razor with all the holes punch out, its pretty neet - ill update with pictures when im home.
Got the Orzly wallet case. Not bad in general. One major downside is the usb cutout. Razer uses squared profile on their connectors, but the case had rounded profile which prevented original accessories from being inserted all the way. Had to do some carving with scissors. Not the end of the world, but could be better
Thank you

Just got my Spigen case it's the best case I own thus far and I own the Razer official case, orzly case, and the tudia case. Pick this up you won't be disappointed.
I picked up the Spigen rugged armor and it lifts the Razer screen protector
The Tudia doesn't lift a screen protector, but you have to get it centered perfectly. I've tried them all, the razer cases were the biggest POS's... Their rugged case was a joke and if you take them off without paying attention, you almost snap it in half because of their stupid design of having no side walls in the center area.
Been happy with the Tudia, still want something more like an otterbox defender. But I think I'm going to just 3d print something stupid awesome and thick.
I have this Orzly case in orange.
Fits perfect. Charging hole is big enough and the edge keeps the screen off the table if you put it screen down (which I never do).
Camera is also protected (if put on a flat surface).
Adds grip, so you won't let the phone slip out of your hand.

Got this case a few days ago. Design is beautiful. If you have a skin, the clear back shows it off nicely. Back plastic is really hard. Feels like glass almost. You can tell it's a high quality case. It does not feel cheap and my phone feels protected. Great front bezel/lip rise. Power and volume buttons are clicky which is always nice. Ultimately it feels great in the hand.
A few things to think about though.
Since the back is clear hard plastic that means it is a finger print/dust magnet. I constantly have to wipe it down. Also I placed it in my pocket for 10 minutes and I guess moisture caused a pretty big rainbow spot on the back.
The sides are smooth so it doesn't have the best grip. It can slide out of your hands if you aren't careful.
Although the buttons are clicky one thing that isn't too great is that they are flush to the case and the groove indicators are not that deep so more times than I'd like, I see myself lowering the volume when I wanted to increase the volume.
Lastly it adds bulk, but not on the level of a rugged style case. I also have a Spigen Liquid Air case that is just a tpu and this Supcase is noticeably bulkier and heavier.
But ultimately it is a case I would recommend. Dropped my phone on tile floor and of course the phone was fine but the case didn't have a scratch on it.
I've ordered a few cases, including the official OnePlus bumper case, and the SupCase is the one I like best. It's been on my phone basically since I got it. As you you mentioned the only real downside I've found is the volume buttons, it's hard to tell which one you are pushing at times. Other than that, a great case, at a great price.
Got this case as soon as I got the phone. It's gorgeous, it's protective, even saved it for me nasty spell. But I would safe because of the buttons being flush it's hard to find them really easily. Other than that it really has been an awesome case, thanks to everyone for recommending this case.

i recently bought this case too
- i like that the flush side buttons don't get caught up when taking it out of my pocket
- and yes kinda hard to identify the vol up and down buttons sometimes - maybe a raised ridge in the middle of the buttons would have helped to tell them apart
- the sides have a slight rubbery feeling - not very grippy but still acceptable - it might appear slippery if your hands are very dry
- moving from the original tpu case that it came with - the extra bulk is noticeable but does not hinder usage unless you have small hands - it is a tad bit harder to reach the top parts of the screen
- i still have the protective film at the back of the casing on - LOL - so i can't tell how smudgy it is going to get
now my question is - what tgsp are you guys using ? i am still on the original film protector that came with it and want to change to tgsp but not sure which one will fit nicely with this case.

Any should fit fine. I'm using the official OnePlus 3D one on mine. I just put a SuperShieldz 3D one on my friends 6T with the case a couple weeks ago. She hasn't had issues either.
I tried this one on op6 and couldn't live with the buttons.
Office karbon is my favorite so far. Got a decent open box deal on eBay for my op6t 18$ free ship. Item was new.
