I updated my AT&T Galaxy S3 to Android 4.3 a few weeks ago.
Ever since then, I routinely get a notification that says "Your Internet Connection is Unstable".
It seems to happen each time I turn my bluetooth connection on.
Phone on > connected to my home wifi (2.4 gHz) > bluetooth is off > turn bluetooth on > get the "internet connection unstable" message.
If I keep my bluetooth off, then I never get this notification.
I have already wiped the cache partition as noted from thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2484032
Has anybody else noticed this "coincidence"?
Blooth Drivers
I think BlueThooth Driver Or Wifi Drivers Are Not Perfectly Installed ..
Or Check By Connecting To Other Wifi Networks.

Here's what I did:
My router is an ASUS RT66U and I was connected to the 2.4 gHz band. There is a setting called "b/g protection". I turned this off and my phone no longer shows this notification when I turn on bluetooth.
Ultimately, I ended up using the 5 gHz band on the router because it seems that the 2.4 gHz causes some interference with the bluetooth because they both share that 2.4 gHz band.

U Mean when u off bluetooth the unstable notification automatically goes...
Hi,
I try to connect my z2 tablet to 2 different routers which deliver a "300Mbps" signal (150mbps in fact, verified with a PC).
The maximum speed connection is limited to 75mbps on the tablet (which is very close from the router).
We can see : "Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot" in the specifications, is there something that i don't understand ?
Thanks

I have the same issue with mine. I haven't tried changing any router channels or settings yet. Using my galaxy s5 and Z2 tablet from the same location I get around 270mbps on the s5 and only 75 on the Z2.
Dual-band means: 2.4 GHz as well as 5Ghz Wifi. (Either / or, not at the same time.)
In any case the Wifi is restricted to 150 mbps.
Go into your router settings and look for a setting called "HT 20/40 Coexistence" and disable it (in dlink routers it's in Advanced > Advanced wireless). This worked for me when I had a similar issue.

I've tried before and it's not the solution. My wifi network is on the 40mhz frequency and i can have 150 mbps on a pc but still 75mbps on with the z2.
Actually now I just tested my z2 tablet's wifi speed, and it doesn't seem to go above 56 Mb/s (link speed for the connection in wifi settings is rated at 72 Mb/s), on my PC I reach my ISP's advertised 120 Mb/s. Odd stuff.
I found out that the tablet is unable to get above 72mbps link speed on a 2.4 GHz signal. When using a 5 GHz signal, the link speed leaps to 135 mbps (with a floor/ceiling between the access point and tablet). Maybe for some reason the tablet is unable to use the 40 MHz channel with 2.4 GHz?
my Xperia Z2 a peculiar problem.
With SIM in place - I dont see 5 Ghz band wifi channels at all - I can connect only to 2.4 ghz without any issues all the time.
if I remove the SIM (I reside in Indonesia with Telkomsel SIM) - I am able to see the 5 Ghz band channels and can connect and use the internet 100%.
But with SIM in place - the band itself is not visible at all. I have tried with Band N and AC as well in this 5 Ghz range with no luck. My Mac connects very well.
another observation - when I do a full format and re-install the firmware - after selecting language with SIM in place - the 5 Ghz band breifly appears and vanishes
This was not at all a problem for me with Xperia Z Ultra.
What is that can be done to fix this issue as I need to connect to 5 Ghz band most of the time at work and home.
I'm running into an issue with my watch receiving notifications over wifi at my workplace. We have two wireless networks: one 2.4 Ghz and the other 5 Ghz. I have my phone currently on the 5 Ghz network with my watch set to Automatic. I have noticed that whenever I'm out of bluetooth range, my watch shows that it's lost connection with the phone. From what I know (and have double-checked), the watch should still be able to get notifications from the phone via wifi. But that's not what's happening. Is it because the Zenwatch 2 isn't compatible with the 5 Ghz band or am I missing something? If it's not, can I add the 2.4 Ghz network to my phone in the hopes that the watch will connect to the 2.4 Ghz network while the phone stays on the 5 Ghz network?
Answer from Android Optimizer:
I have a dual band network at home, and my watch seems to have no problems working while connected to the 5ghz band. If you go into the Advanced section of Wifi settings on your watch confirm that your watch is getting an IP address and Mac address while connected to the 5ghz. Open Android Wear on your phone, and send test notifications from the three dot area to your watch and confirm that it receives those notifications. Open ZenWatch Manager on your phone and confirm that it is reporting the same information as your watch (ex: watch battery %, etc). If all that checks out then something other than the Wifi network band is likely interfering with you receiving your notifications.
Nope. Only 2.4GHz.
My home has 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz but the watch. Can connect 2.4GHz. And I do believe in view of battery life... It tends to disconnect from Wi-Fi. Even if it's Automatic...

Is there any method to force use 5GHz WiFi only in custom ROMs? MIUI has an option to manually select WiFi band to either "2.4", "5" or "automatic". But it seems that there is no such option in LineageOS and Nitrogen OS and they use something like "automatic" as default setting which prefers 5 GHz over 2.4 GHz if the network uses same SSID for both the bands.
Most of the times it works good. But when it switches to 2.4 randomly, the speed becomes considerably slow. My university uses the same SSID (and I can't modify router settings of course) so it becomes a problem when it switches to 2.4 GHz band.
Is it possible to do something from terminal or via root to use only one band?
