Text message notification on lock screen - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

So I get a preview of my text message on my lock screen. Then when I tap the message a large empty box appears below it but doesn't do anything.
What is this box for?

swipe up from the box and it'll take you to your message

How do you disable the text preview?

Any way to skip this step?
The box seems like it would be a little reply widget.
i'd like that, but i what i would like more is just tapping the notification to go to messages.

Not receiving text messages...any help

Just started today but I receive text messages just not the notification meaning both sound and message icon not showing ...is there any help for this

Sound Manager from the market fixes audio issues like that, but you'll want to double check the settings menu of your messager. In the messager press menu, and make sure show notifications in status bar is checked.
If it is from your android desktop press menu, settings, applications, manage applications, the all tab and locate messager. Clear the data.
Go from there.

as far as i know there is not way to disable that without disabling the messaging app notifications all together...
There has to be because prior to rooting I had it set up to only put a notification in the notification bar.

I have chosen to use the PIN method to secure my S3, but now I don't get a preview of any SMS messages I receive.
Is there a way to enable this?
Thanks.

Oh well, bit irritating tbh, but if it's designed like that then so be it.
Thanks.

[Q] Productivity Lock Screen SMS (SOLVED)

Hi All, I'm a recent OneX to Droid DNA on ATT convert. I'm currently using the productivity lock screen and all works well except for text messages. I get the notification icon in the task bar, but the actual message doesn't show up on the lock screen its self. Thanks for the help in advance.

Handcent Question

Installed Handcent on my HTC One. Within handcent, if I go to "settings", "custom style" then "bubble settings" there is a spinning wheel (sending progress icon) in the upper left hand corner. Is this supposed to be spinning when you open this setting page as an example? There are no messages being sent. I would think this would be a battery drain. I uninstalled and reinstalled app and its still there spinning when you open that particular setting page (bubble settings). Just curious if this is normal behavior.
In settings? Yes. As an example.
In a thread? No.
