Screen not as responsive anymore? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Okay, well, for a while I was trying to get bootloader unlocked on p769, and couldnt figure it out.. and had the wonky touch screen and what not.. so I had to use cwm restore, and flash radio/touch fix .. and im currently on v10g ICS.. but something is weird.. ive noticed my screen is less responsive.. like I have to click things multiple times, or push harder then usual.. is this abnormal to happen after what i've done? or am I just crazy and its not really as unresponsive as it seems?(which I swear it is.. its weird)

It's the KDZ you have. ICS is no where near as smooth as JB. The reason being that JB has Project Butter, and the ICS ROM for our phone was poorly designed/handled/released.
If you flash up to JB again, you'll have that buttery goodness once again ^-^

hmm okay thanks.. I was just told to go to this backup because its good on battery life, and thats kind of what im trying to achieve.. is there much battery life difference between what I have now, and JB? because honetsly right now, my battery life is crazy good after uninstalling bloatware.. so, not sure if its the backup I have, or if its just from the bloatware i removed

It's both. JB is kinda bad for battery life, quite sad really. I wish some people would band together and make a mod to fix it.

hmm, well because this battery life im getting is actually quite amazing.. im starting to wonder if the battery level is bugged lol.. its been on all day and its only at 80%.. So id actually be quite sad to lose that if I went back to JB

Pimp my Rom is a good app for that. It has this one called Wi-Fi scan interval and another that I don't remember right now.

Flashing with R&D tool comes with risk. You can get a security error, won't operate, or crash while flashing. Having & using cwm is the safety route IMO.
Plus using the offline flash probably won't fix the inverted u-boot (LG logo).

I would still recommend the LG tools for anybody that is desperate about fixing their phone. It helped me out a great deal. Actually offline flash helped my LG logo and mirrored screen. After that all I had to do was flash the touch fix.

Im sorry, I was at work.. didn't really have much time to explain how I got it fixed or who helped.. but yes, thanks Kuma for the help. I appreciate it.
But there wasn't really anything wrong with the phone.. I tried to unlock the bootloader.. flashed the kdz, did all the shenanigans, but couldn't get it to unlock, and I was stuck with the wonky touch screen on the kdz i was using. So all I really could do is flash radio.zip and touch fix, and then do a restore of a backup I found on this forum using cwm, which Kuma helped me do.
Now im on v10g ICS, and the battery life so far is amazing.. I just am having a really hard time not letting this touch screen stuff bother me. Sometimes its so unresponsive.. I wouldn't mind going back to JB, but I wanna keep this battery life. Im just having a hard time believing there's this much of a difference between ICS and JB.. my phone normally would only last 12 hours, then i'd have to charge it again.. Now, its been off the charger for almost 12 hours and its not even at 60% .. so do you guys really think if I went back to JB, and uninstalled the same bloatware I uninstalled now, the battery would be significantly worse?

You are the best judge
Jellybean isn't that bad IMO, but I'm already due for a new battery. My phone is already a year old. Something to remember about Jellybean, the default settings for wifi(if turned on) , is to stay on when the phone is a sleep. However you can change it.
To improve responsiveness on ice you need to tweak the build.prop. I can't think of the tweak right now. Anyways I used android tuner app to fix it and I never had problems again. However, the app has updated and changed since. Some of the free tweaks aren't free anymore. I'll try to find the code you need.
Oh and thanks for giving me my props

Yeah idk.. I just know when I had stock rom from metropcs, my battery life would last maybe 12 hours of decent use.. now its lasting probably close to 24 hours without having to charge it. But if you could help me possible fix the responsiveness would be nice.
Also, I asked in another thread, which I dont think anyone knows the real answer, even after searching for it I couldnt find it.. but since im on 10g ICS, it keeps popping up and telling me to upgrade to JB.. is there anyway to remove the update notifications? I've read a few sites.. they mostly just say to freeze 2 things using root, and I tried that.. didn't seem to work. Just sucks, cause everytime I unlock my screen, it tells me to install it

I can't help you with the constant update nagging. There are a couple of threads on the subject, but they never lasted. However, I haven't tried them all, There's another option besides messing with those two apps but I can't remember.
To fix responsiveness add these tweaks to the build.prop
# Increases touch responsiveness
debug.performance.tuning=1
# Increases touch & video something lol
video.accelerate.hw=1
# Increases scrolling responsiveness
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150

Battery issue after JB update

Hi guys,
I`ve bought international sgs3 some weeks ago with ICS, after using it some time, I decided update OS to JellyBean. After this I noticed that battery is discharging much faster than with ICS. Maybe there is a way to fix it?
Thanks for the answer,
same issue noticed here, try to disable google now no significant improvement observed!
No issues here after upgrade
No problems....
I've suffered from rubbish battery life since JB as well. Tried all sorts of different ROMs, tried trouble shooting using Better Battery Stats, and it's still not acceptable. I'm thinking about going to another phone, because i don't have the time to keep trying to sort it out.

Not the kernel - do the right thing and investigate what is causing it.
Then report in an informed manner.

This only happens to me when I'm trying to use my phone while it is plugged in and charging. It acts all crazy, but once I unplug it the thing works fine. I pretty much keep my phone in ECO mode and haven't switched that off to see if it makes a difference.
Same here. I keep my phone on ECO mode and have no issues with responsiveness, except for once in a while when it's plugged in and charging.

I DO have that problem with mine. I am unlocked, rooted and running nottach's Base ROM the problem has reoccurred with the stock ROM and versions 0.5, 0.6.5 and 0.7.3 .
It's probably a kernel-level memory or CPU issue because for most people it appears to be a specifically time-based problem. The longer your uptime is, the worse the problem gets. Reboot your phone and the problem goes away for awhile.

I've edited your post. This is a great example of the same phone, running a similar set up behaving completely different. The user you quoted wasn't doing anything other than stating that they don't have this problem so chill out a little and accept that each person can have a different experience and opinion. [Q] aT&T LG optimus g wake from sleep problem! please help me!

Please can anyone tell me what to do? this is my second LG optimus g and they both stutter randomly when bringing them out of sleep mode and them sometimes flat out power down while in my pocket. I have deleted all programs I could think of and have both rebooted, reset To factory on both units and it still happens like once every 7 Or so times I wake the phone from sleep. What do I do please?
Is the phone on stock untouched? Rooted? Custom ROM? N4 conversion? Details would help us solve your problem.

Did you perform the OTA? I'm not exactly sure but I heard that it fixes the sleep of death.

first thing first, get a battery monitor app like betterbatterystat so you know the type of process that is causing the drain - app, kernel etc...once you have that information, drill down from there.

Sleep of death...that's the name. Thanks I couldn't remember what they called it. Yes guys the sleep of death is what I hhave.
Now let me get this right. This is not happening to none of your phones (non rooted)?
Second, not that I'm not grateful and all but why would a OTA work when this is my second phone in a row brand new from stock that all of sudden starts to do the same thing out of the blue? Also my phones says I have the latest version. E97010o
And as far as apps it not a app memory issue. I eliminated all possible apps I have downloaded. It never happens in use only When I try to bring it out of sleep.

But I hear Roms aren't stable and there are bugs and things that they don't due that were there before (use of WiFi,NFC,compasitive buttons use) . What software do I use (I tried one that didn't work. .got the drivers and loaded root soft from admin and it still didn't work). What is the perfect Rom? What is the easiest why to do this?

OTA has been stopped. T-Mobile found bugs. Flash the complete KDZ and you should have no problems.
This happens when you disable auto rotation. If you keep auto rotation enabled it will fix the problem. Annoys the hell out of me, wish there was a way to fix it. This isn't an issue with jb though, but I went back to ics because of the jb battery drain

Dear Lord get me back on Jelly Bean!

God I really want to go back to jelly bean, kit Kat is a joke on the g2 nothing works properly anymore, my accounts don't sync properly so I don't get notifucations e.g no notifications on my phone but I open Facebook and there's loads, open Twitter and again loads, open email and gmail and again emails come through.
Quiet mode doesn't work without button bashing the **** out of the switch, quiet time timer just doesn't work reliably.
Knock code is intermittent sometimes it's really responsive sometimes I have to press the power button.
Battery life is nowhere near as good as jelly bean.
I'm done with buggy pile off ****, lg pull your finger out and fix it!

Cool story bro...
I have none of the above issues.

The only thing I can relate to, is the "horrible" battery life.
No matter what I threw at my phone on Jelly Bean, I would still get 4 Hours of SOT. Often times I only get like 3.5 hours of SOT on KitKat.

I'm done with buggy pile off ****, lg pull your finger out and fix it!

oh goddd ! !please god ! enough of the drama ! its a phone ! and its probably a bad flash, go do a full backup and factory reset your phone ! your phone JUMPED 2 android versions ! this is bound to happen. people who upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 and have a perfectly working phone are just lucky ! about 20 billion changes ? mayb even more under the hood. stop complaining and just do a reset. and about the battery life, i get 4-5 hours of screen on time with 20-35 hours on battery. and btw when i just upgraded and did a reset i got a screen on time of 2 hours from 100-5%., im no the exact same rom and after a week my battery is back to how it was on jellybean. ie the 5 hours sot as i mentioned earlier. GIVE IT TIME! and i repeat. do a factory reset
Done everything mate this is why I'm so pissed off.

This won't be a fix for the battery life, but try doing a factory reset, mate.
That should probably fix most of the issues you are facing and as another member stated, the jump from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 is quite a large jump. Use LGBackup if your like to backup your apps.
Dear Lord, let me learn how to flash a stock v20d kdz and remember to do a factory reset especially after an OTA update. So I could stop being a drama queen and be annoying to others.
Regarding the sync problem, did you by chance update by clearing data from the Google Services Framework? If so, it can completely break your sync, the best thing would be to reset from a KK .tot

Easy there, killer. Try flashing CloudyStock or trying a kernel such as Simple Kernel or DorimanX. I easily net 6-7 hours SoT with ~48 hours off charger.

wow this is so weird and btw dont redownload the kdz, if it was a bad download it wouldnt flash in the first place. if u have warranty just show it to the service center, the people in the service centers are dumb and might just give you a complete replacement
Sick of people who obviously aren't having a problem sticking their 2ps worth in, its not helping anyone ?
I've just reflashed again and I'm going to reset again, if out doesn't work I'll do what you said thanks mate for your help ?

Your problem is clearly due to user error. You can't make an aggressive, angry topic and then be surprised when other people are aggressive as well...
Try checking your wakelocks or other actually useful information.

You're the one kidding, right? Often does not mean always. I can manage to get as "good" as SOT as you if I am home all day and connected to a wifi network. More often than not, I'm not home all day and therefore I don't manage to get such a brilliant SOT. fact is, though, that I would sometimes get 5 hours of SOT on JB and have 25% left - that included playing 30-60 minutes of heavy games.

Instead of dear Lord or dear God, do please dear xda members, dear gurus, or even dear LG developers as God can't do a crap to help you here.
