Hi m8 I was from the nexus world my question is can you try and see if we can overclock our gpu in your kernel, not sure why the other kernels don't use this it my be because it's not possible, but you don't ask you don't get ? thanks very much.

Hi everyone!
AOKP Team Member @rohan32 (and XDA Forum Mod/Recognized Developer) has shown interest in bringing all the LG G2 variants to AOKP. He has already built one test build for all variants of the device and they are booting, but in order to fix bugs, he should get a device.
He doesn't have one, but he's the real absolute deal (I used his work on the HTC One XL). If anyone can help that kid get a phone I'll contribute. His reputation is impeccable,
LG G2 devices cost around $450 on Swappa. Lets get him a device!

Hi everyone!
First off, a big thanks to big70tom for posting this here! I didn't expect it at all but its greatly appreciated.
For those of you who don't know me, I'll give you a quick rundown of my past work.
HTC One XL (AT&T HTC One X):
- On the "CM team" unofficially to help fix bugs for CM and other AOSP ROMs
(view my submissions to CM here: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/owner:"Rohan+Mathur+%3Crohanmathur34%40gmail.com%3E",n,z
- Maintain official AOKP for the device
- Maintain official PA/AOSPA for the device
- Maintained official LiquidSmooth for the device
- Creator of the most popular custom kernel for the device, known as rohan.kernel
Nexus 7 (2013):
- Official AOKP maintainer
I also maintain Nexus 7 2012, Nexus 4, submit patches for i9300, and much more.
I contribute also to CyanogenMod for the HTC One V and HTC One X+ (AT&T).
Currently I am working with the rest of the AOKP team on bringing AOKP up for 4.4.
At the moment, some of you are running my LG G2 Verizon port which I distributed via twitter. The build has some GPS issues, however, that I cannot solve without the device. Although I could continue to try and fix the bugs by pushing out test build after test build and waiting 1-2 days for testers to get back to me on whether it was fixed, the process makes pulling teeth seem easier.
I'm currently interested in attaining an LG G2 for AT&T. By getting one for AT&T, I can bring AOKP officially to every variant of the LG G2 (AT&T, Tmo, Verizon, Sprint, and International/GSM/Canada) since they all are either very similar to one another or actually share common device repos.
It seems that the going rate for an LG G2 is $450 on Swappa (if you can find one for cheaper, please let me know!). I personally am a high school student and I don't have much money to spare, but whatever you guys can contribute would be amazing. Whomever contributes will forever be in my "Thanks" list!
Thanks everyone!

It's too bad we couldn't predict when the Amazon deal was going to happen and got devs phones for $200 a pop.

If you really want this to happen, start a contribution thread for aokp. A lot of people just got this phone at a steal so it might add up quick. If you decide to do this, I'll be the the first to throw in cash.
I'll contribute, but I do not have the history on here to inspire trust, which I understand. I don't post enough. I'll contribute of someone will take the reigns. Rohans work will benefit all the Devs and Roms

My whopping 4 posts counts me out. Funny, if we didn't have loki support there'd already be a huge bounty thread like the s4 and note 3. Not sure why someone with some xda cred doesnt take ownership of this.
I know. He's on AOKP team, bringing official build which will help everyone

The Verizon G2 is officially supported by AOKP I thought. If that's the case ANY Dev can fork or clone the AOKP git and sync with JUST the G2 branch and compile an AOKP ROM. I am running an unofficial build and its great! (Except GPS)
Of course getting another Dev to do it is awesome, the more the merrier.
And AICP is very close to AOKP. Just the four cherry-picks in AICP extras make it AICP.
If a more veteran XDA member was to start a donation thread to help this dude get the phone and bring official AOKP to us Verizon users, I'll throw in $50. 'Tis (almost) the season, after all.
Me too
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'd be at 50 as well and that would put us a third of the way there based on swappa prices right now.
One thing that might get us a bit more attention is getting the king of aokp to post to this thread.

Well umm.. I'd let my BNIB D801 go for $420 with free shipping. It is not on contract. (Dunno whether that matters or not.) I can throw it up on eBay for PayPal and feedback. That may or may not be helpful.

Sorry, I really need an AT&T variant to ensure things like LTE are working correctly and thats all I can test atm (T-Mobile service where I'm at is essentially nonexistent). If LTE works on the AT&T model, then it will most likely work on the other GSM models with the correct bands.
Thanks for the offer though!
I actually have a 2 day old white ATT G2 that I could sell you for 415!

Paranoid Android. It's an AOSP based ROM
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well look under g2 original android development it's already there for a lot of the varients
Here's the link to what I'm seeing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502789
[AOSPA 4.4 KRT16S] PARANOIDANDROID 4.0+ G2 [alpha][D800/801/802/803/LS|VS980][12/03]
My bad I didn't understand the first time through trying to get someone to help. Sorry.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i can only work on tmous variant as i only use tmo as a service provider. I am also not pushing anyone to donate, thats not right to do so but it would be very much appreciated nothing huge amounts though.
I am on the Paranoid Android Team. I have worked on projects mainly kernel related. @houstonn needs help maintaining his g2 support as he is building for 6 variants by himself. Since there is minimal devs working on g2 i thought i could contribute to projects. I have kernel and rom experience and i have been helping him a tiny bit with g2 pa work.
I'm up for $10. Was a huge fan of PA on the n4. I dropped the n5 like a hot potato after a week of use and got the G2, but I was concerned that the G2 would never get official AOSPA loveliness. I hope my money goes a tiny bit to keeping the PA ROMs coming on the G2
Sent from my LG-G2 using Tapatalk
I'd also drop $10. Not much, but what I can do.
From my count that would put us with the following Devs actually possessing these variants:
D800 - Rohan (AOKP)
D801 - ayysir (this bounty is for him to acquire one)
D802- Vertigo (? Does he actually have a D802, I admittedly don't follow the threads closely) CM/Omni
D803- Houstonn (PA)
I'm sure this is not the tell-all list but I think it's accurate.
I know there are A LOT of users around here. Way more than there are developers. We would only benefit from established developers actually owning each variant.
I for one am willing to chip in for *any* established (sorry new guys ) developer to join the G2 party as long as I have the device myself. Never much, but every dollar counts for
I'm with you. PA was possibly the best rom on my Galaxy Nexus. Would LOVE to have that back for my G2
let us help Houstonn, not only financial but also our little support
coz LG dump us leaving us in the dark of JB 4.2.2
my prayers are for Houstonn for helping us LG G2 users

It has a decent amount of ROMs. But, I'm pretty darned happy on stock. Go check the VZW LG G3 developer forum to see what's there.
I dont know if anyone is aware, the sprint LG G3 subforum is lacking in kernels and roms. If you want other roms or kernels go to the LG G3 Android Development. not sprint. Almost all of the roms and kernels support LS990. I'm using Xenon HD with the AOSP 777 kernel. Euphoria OS 1.1 also works fine. They are not GSM only and most of them support all variants.
