If you're like me and are going crazy scouring the interwebs for a workaround on Wifi Tethering then look no more. Just follow these steps to get the Wifi Tether app working on Jellybean Roms. I have got this working on my Rezound running CM 4.3 (See figure 1)
Steps:
1.) Uninstall any other similar Wifi Tether apps such as FoxFi or Barnacle
2.) Reboot into Recovery and Wipe Dalvik cache, then Reboot
3.) Download and install Wifi Tether app via Attachment Below
4.) In app go to Settings and Change Device Profile to "Generic ICS/JB(wlan0)" ((See figure 2))
5.)(Optional) Setup SSID and/or Password
and thats it. Start Tethering and enjoy

Probably an app I'm running, just haven't had time to troubleshoot it.

Apparently this doesnt work on new bases. Just an fyi. I dropped this phone for one that everything works on. So I can't continue work on this.
I am no responsible for permanent damage, the world ending, zombies roaming the earth if it is a result of this thread/post. I should also mention that this probably won't work on an fully aosp rom like cm10 since stock dialer and probably an associated file is gone.
I'm a huge netflix user. While some mods show and suggest changing the proxy settings via ##3282# (the password is your msl code which you can get either from msl reader in market or asking sprint for it. If they ask just tell them you want a factory reset through the dialer) and your MSL code the RSTP and HTTP proxy settings to 0.0.0.0 port 0 I agree with the HTTP proxy being changed to fix YouTube however I would suggest only slightly modifying the HTTP proxy settings.
As we know changing the HTTP proxy to 0.0.0.0 port 0 fixes YouTube over 3g.
I was having some buffering a lot on Netflix. I adjusted the RSTP proxy port one up from 554 to 555 and found a profound improvement on streaming clarity and no buffering on 3g. Which makes some sense to me if all the HTC EVOs are using the 554 port and probably other phones that it would get congested.
1. Call sprint and ask for your MSL Code. (if they ask tell them you want to do a master reset through the dialer to fix an issue) or you can download MSL Reader from the Market>if you have ROOT< -->which is free its found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5lc2Njb2RlLm1zbCJd (thanks ZEDEK)
2. Hit ##3282# and then "edit mode" enter in password (msl code)
3. Touch "advanced" (careful what you edit this whole menu may mess up radio service big time if not careful.)
4. Touch "RTSP/HTTP Setting"
5. For the known youtube fix put the HTTP Proxy at 0.0.0.0 and the HTTP Proxy port at 0
6 For the Netflix or other Video Streaming fix leave the RSTP proxy where it is and choose a new RSTP proxy port around the 554 default is my suggestion. I personally use 555.
7. Nothing else is needed just back out of the settings once these are changed. I would suggest a reboot but it may not be needed.
This is mainly theory but seems to have done the trick for me. I had the clearest Netflix I have ever had last night after changing the port. That went from buffering every five minutes just before.
Second night crystal clear no buffering on 3g for me.
Kinda sorta stuff from this a lil bit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816493

Vpn shield is an app in market
It's used to block T-Mobile from seeing any tether being pulled from carriers data .
It's essentially used with trevemod.
If you don't start Vpn shield before tethering eventually tmobile will catch on and block it.
Really it's good for people on any data especially unlimited . Allows you to tether as much as you want with out detection.

I got tethering to work!
First unlock and root.
Second, flash a kernel if you want to stay stock (which I prefer). I recommend this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2255900
or
Flash a custom rom
Finally, install this app:

Change device-profile to "Generic ICS/JB (wlan0).
That's it! You should be good to go.

I use this app and it works like a charm. It has everything basic you need plus the ability to password protect your tethered network.

Also, alot of custom ROMs come with tethering apps in their setting or mod sections.

Anyone? The one posted above is not available on the play store. Even so I downloaded it and it still isn't working on the rooted verizon S4.
VRUAME7 is impervious to previous bootloader bypass methods. Proceed at your own discretion.
I have not yet delved into the files to see exactly what is included here over MDK. A few users have reported Apps2SD being included and a change in phone status that now displays a "Secure Boot Status Field" in addition to the SELinux Status field.
Flash this file in ODIN (under the PDA section) while your phone is in download mode to restore or upgrade to ME7. This will wipe your phone.

We need a guinea pig to flash this then to try flash back to the old build to see if it's possible for those that want to root. Apparently this new build blocks flashing the pre-release kernel which will kill our ability to root (at this time ). I'd like to get the radios yanked out of the new build so that we can see if they're any better than what's in the old builds.

OTA rootkeeper is the name of the app. I'm aware that this isn't an OTA (yet). The application creates a backup copy of your SU so that you can restore it post-update (regardless of update method). It's a method that's been being used on Motorola phones for the better part of 2 years now to retain root through updates. It is file system dependent though and I'm not sure it's supported on samsung phones. Just curious if anyone had tried this particular app yet.
Can we flash this file that the OP posted or only way to update is through Kids on a PC or Mac?

Yes. However the build does have some bugs. The apps 2 sd "feature" seems to be causing apps to think there is no sd installed on my phone. Also, my wifi is totally borked. It connects and gas full bars but transfers at less than 1 Mbps. I have a 50Mbps connection.

I would recommend taking a look at FoxFi and if your rooted Wireless Tether for Root Users. Keep in mind depending on your carrier handles tethering you may have to change some app settings, for tethering to function properly. Let me know if you still have questions.

Are using the wireless hotspot or USB tethering feature of Foxfi? Make sure that your in a location where your phone is getting a strong data signal as well.
