A word of caution that this root workaround to not trigger the Knox flag is only for rooting the device. Flashing a custom recovery and/or custom rom after this root workaround still triggers the Knox flag to increase as listed in the FAQ.
It is a start but its not the full solution. Still good to have for those that are just buying the Note 3 or not rooted their device yet that have been waiting for a workaround.

Will this work for people who have already triggered the binary KNOX counter? Will this reset it or is it a rooting method that doesn't flip the switch?
Edit: Nevermind, I can't read apparently. The answer is No and No/Yes.

It's just a method that doesn't flip the switch. It will not reset the counter if it has been flipped. Also it's for root only. flashing a custom kernel/recovery will still pop the knox flag.

Actually I'm kinda curious if you could downgrade to MI3. Root it. Use xposed to fake the system status. And get the ota. Without loosing root. Or tripping a knox flag.
Guess I'll have to free up some time to go read through the other thread.

AWS LTE Bands. Verizon just enabled it in major markets. It will make the coverage better and faster. Only certain devices have the hardware to take advantage of it. Some devices come with it enabled and others have to have it enabled with a software update.
Just ran through the update. And it said there was another update, so far I have updated it twice. Will post back if I see anything. Holding my breath for KNOX to show its face.
I am curious to know all of the implications of the updates but will not risk losing root
Just a heads up, it is highly likely that many problems will come from updating. Namely, SELinux is expected to go from Permissive to Enforcing on VZW devices. This will cause issues with future rooting, and issues with SafeStrap.

Well I'm not the best one to answer. There are many here more qualified. But Knox is a security app for Samsung that tells them if you changed the stock recovery or rooted the device. Kind of a use it and lose it (your warrantee ).
I am going to root, but first I'm going to be doing a lot of reading. That's how I did it with my other devices.

That is the big misunderstanding here. You are talking now about a also so called Knox-Bit which works like you explained. But Knox is much more and much different because it is a system appendix from Samsung to have a secure Android platform. Which means that in some companies this is a must before connection to their internal network. And to have this work environment means that you need special apps which work together with Knox.
See more here.

Mainly I am looked for info on any builds or anything like that I should be careful with. Can every build be rooted and what's going on with the bootloader? Any Verizon S4 on a build after MDK does NOT have a bootloader exploit ( Loki )
You can root and install SafeStrap on any build up to MK2.
NC5 (Kit Kat) can be partially downgraded to MK2 though so that you can root and use SafeStrap. I'll get you a useful link..

Bootloader (Generally identical to Build) is what matters.
That is NC5, so you'll be able to do a partial downgrade to MK2, root, and return to NC5 if you want root. No non-TouchWiz roms.
Ahhh really? That's usually all I ran on my s3. I understand the bootloader isn't unlocked but I thought aosp ROMS were still possible with some kind of work around? I thought no bootloader unlock just meant no custom kernels. I remember it being like that back in the droid x days lol
So either way what are best options..revert back to the earlier build..root..then how do I get back to the newer build again to flash

There is no working AOSP for any Verizon S4 after *MDK. You're correct that it just means no custom kernels, but nobody has gotten a fully working AOSP to run under the stock kernels.

Do some research before trying this. But you go to towelroot.com on your phone and download the apk. After downloading the apk go to settings on your phone and allow installing apps from unknown sources. Then install the apk and run the app.

If you have handset protection from TMOBILE I wouldn't worry about tripping KNOX. The only warranty knox trip affects is the warranty that comes with the phone from Samsung. Nothing voids the premium handset warranty including throwing your phone at the wall on purpose . Tmobile would rather replace a knox tripped phone rather than replacing one that is ran over by a car. If you don't have premium handset insurance then I understand why you wouldn't want to trip it

If you have any S5 model other than the 900H, simply use Odin to revert to a pre-June 3rd build of 4.4.2 stock firmware and then use Towel root.
As simple as that.
