LTE Signal gone? Help please! - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Hello, I havent been active here for a while.
I am running the latest Mean BEAN Rom on my Sprint HTC EVO LTE.
Havnt had any problems, so i havent moved to a new rom yet.
Recently though i feel like I am having connectivity issues. For i.e. at my work I only get data signal If i choose "ONLY CDMA" and not "CDMA or LTE".
So somehing seems to be up with LTE. I should have a LTE signal there...
Right know i can only get DATA if i leave it on CDMA only... I want LTE
I also just did factory reset and put Mean BEAN Rom back on ...
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks!

There is a newer firmware but you need to be s-off to flash it.
It's 1.13.11.0830

Yes, you can update your firmware so long as you're S-off.

How long does looking for a firmware usually take....my phone is searching for the last 25 min. Is that normal?

No that's not normal.

Other than flashing through the bootloader, no.

By the way the LTE / 4g disconnect problem is still there. .. As soon as I enable 4g it doesn't connect anymore...
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

Nothing went wrong. You're on the latest firmware. Firmware won't change the software version, just like flashing a ROM won't change the firmware version. One has nothing to do with the other.

I sure wish I knew. I'm running a CM 10.2 nightly and haven't had GPS navigation or LTE for a few weeks now. I'm a total noob at all of this, so I really don't know where to turn. I'm s-on for some stupid reason. I saw somewhere that you need to be s-off in order to fix this stuff, but I don't know how to go s-off...and believe me, I've tried. I also noticed that there have been no nightlies released since the 11th and my updater hasn't been able to download and install the newest nightly. I just keep getting install errors. Perhaps someone can direct me to a decent nightly build I can use as a daily driver until a RC or Stable build is released?

Little help guys. Question about 4g/LTE

I live in the Miami/ft Lauderdale FL area. I own a galaxy s3 on sprint and in several areas I'm getting a strong 4g signal and its awesome. Sprint has not officially announced 4g down here so I assume they're testing and I'm lucky enough to pick up the signal. Anyway, my wife has an evo 4g lte on sprint (obviously) and she has yet to see 4g at all. I rooted her phone a while back and installed meanrom (I believe the version is 5.5). Additionally, her baseband is 1.12.11.0809. Any ideas on what I need up do to get her on the 4g signals when they pop up, like me?

go to settings>mobile data>Network mode> and make sure its states "LTE/CDMA". if its already on that setting, you might want to upgrade the firmware to the newest jelly bean base which you can get here: http://d-h.st/5D5 after your dirty racun aka get S-off here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964309
after i upgraded my firmware i started picking up 4g at my house and local bar.
if this helps you please hit the thanks button

Can u update firmware without s-off? Has the s-off method become more "reliable"? A few months back I owned an evo 4g/lte and the lazy panda s-off method was bricking a few phones.

Yes, you can update the firmware by taking the OTA jellybean from sprint but I would not advise this. dirty racun is much safer than lazy panda method of which you speak IMO and S-off makes things so much easier going forward. Get S-off, update the firmware with this download http://d-h.st/5D5 in hboot and install a new JB based rom.

[Q] LTE signal issues, how is it lately?

Greetings all!
At the moment I have the option of purchasing a white S3 for $450 (used) or a white E4GLTE (newish) at $400. I'm ok with either phone. I'm mainly concerned with signal quality. I'm in an LTE area and I get good 3g/4G signal just about every where I go around my area. There are some indoor stops that turn to roamin, not too many though.
Are there still signal issues on the Evo? I hear some folks have signal issues with the S3 as well. I'm leaning more towards the Evo because it's cheaper and has a few extras that I like. Those extras aren't worth ****ty signal issues though.
I'm stuck on which phone. Are these LTE/signal issues minority that are fixable without having to get a replacement phone?
thanks for your time
Since upgrading the radios I get better 4g.in fact I get 4g where a friend that has an s3 doesn't

SMH....Oh HTC, Shame on you. Not a JB update, not even Android 4.04 and Sense 4........ Bug fixes? for a broken OTA you pushed over 6 months ago to a device people purchased in good faith under 2 year contracts. All after swearing to produce fewer devices and provide better long term support. Fool me once.
We got that connection optimizer with the jb update on the lte, just about all the custom roms now have it removed.

Well, this update was finally released, at least for Virgin Mobile users.
You can read more about it in this thread.

Flashing international ROMs on the ATT variant

I've seen a few people saying they've done it on here, and am curious.
Are there any special steps, or does it "just work", flash and go?
If not, do you have to flash radios? settings tweaks?
any things not work?
LTE functioning?
Any info would be helpful.

after flashing, you go through the typical new phone setup. It asks who your carrier is and ATT is one of the options. I'm assuming that's how it knows what APN to use.
There's a thread around here somewhere someone created ATT looking status bar icons to flash for the WWE version..

Running ARHD 6.1 right now, works great no issues. Also updated the radio to the latest, notice no performance change before and after the radio upgrade but I'm sure it's improved some aspects, better to have it match the ROM I guess.

I've tested that Rom as well. I wouldn't suggest updating the radio. Also like the picture above shows there is an issue with 1 bar for LTE, but the dev of that Rom is working on a fix.

Surprisingly I'm now occasionally seeing 2 bars on LTE while at home, last night before the radio upgrade it was consistently one bar. Even with one bar though my LTE performance has been comparable to what I saw on my iPhone, is the bar issue only cosmetic?

I am debating similar question too, trying to decide which of the following I should flash/wait to flash
1. Developer Edition (support by HTC directly, but so far stuck on 4.12)
2. International Stock Rom (support by HTC directly, has 4.22, not sure if OTA will work even with SuperCID or correct CID since we are in US?)
3. Nexus Edition (support by Google, which means updates will be fast and furious, but no Sense 5)
I know SuperCID will let you whatever rom you want, but will OTA work with superCID? or we need to set CID to match the rom for OTA to work?
S-Off'd and successfully RUU'd the Developer Edition on my AT&T One!
