I'm new here on forum,its good forum i can tell and i thing here someone can help me with my tablet to explain me how to root it in steps or can someone pliz upload root .img .If someone can help me pliz i need root access
Im running win7x64 and i can't find enything that is working 100% with this device... Pliz im begging if someone can help me!
I would root my Prestigo PMP5570C too. I have find info can help me ZhuoDaShi program. But this program install root and 2 other 3 apps. Anybody know this program?
Common guys,pliz if enybody know how to root or download update.img from prestigio site and edit-root it and post download link of that update.I have searched all kind of sites but for that good model of prestigio nothing at all
Root 100% ok.
All what you need too root:
1.In tablet mark options: Menu -> Security -> Unknown sources & Developer options -> USB Debugging
2. & download PdaNet Program& install pda drivers from program(not certificated). Connect tablet to PC
3.ONLY THIS VERSION CAN ROOT. New version brick your Tablet
if you have install all staff.... you can root with ZhuoDaShi-2.2.17 but if you started this program must have none internet connection. IF you make this in internet, program make automatic update and brick your tablet.
This process to last ca 3-5 min.
If you have make all what i have say. You have root in your tablet (super su app)
If you would have links i can send you.

In this way(my way),i have no problems with play store. all functions work no problems.
But pliz becose i dont know how to root .img file can you upload your rooted recovery or update.img to some kind of server to i download it than i will put that file with RK Tools on the phone pliiiiz

I can't install clockworkmod (incompatible now or must make triks).. I can't find not to much info on this tab(new model) . how to mod and more. We must wait. Your tablet is on rockchip 3066. You have writen about rus seites. can you send me links in message?

Not now, in future obviously yes but now this series Prestigo 55xx is new. We must wait when more people have prestigo tablets.

now this may be a stupid question, but, is that only the rooted version of the stock software, or the 4.1 jelly bean update with root privileges?
what i'm actually wondering is, if that's a rooted rom, and i install it, will i lose the root privileges if e.g. i make a later update with a official update from prestigio's site?
i'm seriously considering buying either 5570C or 5580C, but i can't make the decision. I've read it on several forums that the main flaw with 5570C is the battery life. that it holds 4 hrs max, which is the problem solved in 5580C that has a stronger battery.
the major reason why i would buy 5580C is the larger screen, that is the ONLY reason. however, other forums say that 5580 is slower, that it lags sometimes, and it DOES have a bit weaker processor (also i've read somewhere that its 3d graphic accelerator isn't as good as the one in 5570).
i can't make a decision... what do you say guys? generally good performance with 5570C, but smaller screen and shorter battery life, or weaker performance, lags, but longer battery life, and 1" larger screen with 5580C?

U can ROOT Prestigio 5580C Pro Duo with UnlockRoot v3.3 ,my Prestigio is now ROOTED. Download from official site,install to PC,connect your tablet with USB debugging ON,and click on ROOT. :victory:

So I got this spreadspectrum phone branded by SVP but its actually SPRD S580 inside running A5 cortex and MTK6517 h/w.
I managed to root it finally - the guide and threads here did not work.
Can someone PL point me to some ROMS for this phone and some gimme a direction about hunting them down,
My understanding is ROM incompatilbilty can brick your device . So I should back up my current image. Hows that done,
ALSO I find some threads where some other branded phone with MTK6517 h/w but maybe different processor , GPU etc has been offered a custom ROM upgrade to JB/ICS.
Should I try that out ? OR the ROM to be used is specific to that CPU + H/W combination : e.g. A5 + MTK6517 and same brand.
Pl help ....

I too have SVP S580. The whatsapp - preinstalled in that phone is not working. How to root that and UNINSTALL whatsapp and install the latest version in that ? Is there any option to upgrade to ICS ? IS there any CWM for this phone ? Please send me a detailed reply with the download links and the guide to root, flash a new ICS rom and CWM method too..

SVP S580
Finally, I am able to ROOT my device with VROOT and uninstall the WHATSAPP - a pre-installed APP and NOT WORKING. Now, I installed the NEW version of WHATSAPP and is working fine for me.
Will anybody let me know whether this model (SVP S580) has any new version of ROM ?

Hi Cleveri, I really love your work and indeed it is very good from what I have seen from your screen shots. I wanted it also to our cheap device but the thing is I can't get it to work.. I have already rooted my device and installed the CWM recovery, I tried to port it as instructed from your thread but it seems I can't get pass to "Starting Apps" part during upgrading. hope you can give us some advice.

On needrom you'll find a stock rom for this device. This is specified as genuine stock rom, but that is not what I belive it to be. Nevertheless, it works, not really fine, but works.

Hi! I dont thinks so is well one of the Rom for Exclvan mt 10 described like stock rom from needrom .com messed up my tablet now is dead ! I made mistake my bad i flash with unchecked preloader i know Bad ! But if is stock rom let my do something format etc..! I try everything Sp flash tool odest,latest version , install,uninstall vcom Mtk driver , disconect from battery, make jumper from Kcolo-GND ! Everytime same error Enable DRAM Failed 0xfc0 or 4032 same **** just if you on older version of SP Flash tool is usualy (4032)! Oh yeahh and volume button combination is well fail ! ANY IDEA ON THIS ****Y CHINESE F*&%CK! Regards
I recently bought a HAFURY UMAX made by Cubot and i've been trying to find a way to root it and install a custom recovery. I've tried most of the methods that I could find on google like Kingroot, etc.
I haven't been able to find anything compatible because its a pretty obscure phone.
Any help would be awesome!

After flashing TWRP you could then install Magisk which will give you root.
Have you managed to unlock your bootloader (although it is not necessary to install TWRP using SP Flash Tool) ?
Thank you for your help however the link you posted is for a cubot Max and I need twrp for cubot hafury umax. I don't think the twrp would work for the umax? As I think they have different chips mine is MT6580 and the max is MT6753A
Tried every app for rooting with no success.
I have downloaded every app and program that claimed to root nougat devices (RootKHP too, but it's just a bad coded virus) and I haven't been lucky yet. I have also done the "manual method"(adb push and then moving those files to /system) but this phone it's not exploitable in that way either. Maybe, compilling TWRP and installing it is the key, but HAFURY doesn't give any help to do so (as usual). I sent them emails, asking for help because of the bugs and also asking for the ROM itself. No luck. They claim to be preparing an update or something that will be released in the official cubot forum... but in that forum there isn't any entry about this phone.
Looks like HAFURY will not give a damn and, probably, will shut down in a time. They KNOW that this phone works faulty ( touch-screen problems, Wi-Fi unstable), but they are not doing anything.
I will not buy another phone from them nor from a chinese manufacturer. I have learnt.
I will try to buy a One Plus One as soon as I have money.

What I found so far about the Update
As Stumbag said a couple of days ago, Cubot released an update for the HAFURY UMAX. I downloaded it as soon as I found it and, first of all, don't expect nothing. The only change I noticed is the build name, everything else is like the older version. The Wifi is still unstable, the touchscreen still requires to lock and unlock for working fine when it doesn't detect the touches and still, no root for this phone. I searched for a way to root a ROM before installing it but no luck yet. Also, I extracted the system.img and I haven't found weird packages, as I said, there's nothing different from the older build. What I noticed is a weird file called "recovery_rootcheck.bin" allocated in /data/ that contains other 3 files but I cannot read them properly. Screenshots included:

I dumped the older ROM before installing the new, but I am not sure I have done it well but, anyway, I have the dump file.
I will keep searching a way to compile TWRP but I have zero experience on compilling so I don't think I will archieve it.
So, CUBOT has released the ROM as an Update.
Guys. I did it. I compied a TWRP Recovery for the HAFURY UMAX. It works but the stock recovery is being reinstalled after a reboot. Tomorrow I will fix it and I will write a tutorial for installing TWRP and a rooted ROM I did. It's slightly different from the stock ROM (I removed bloatware, deodexed every package, zipaligned, changed the bootanimation and a few more things for making the phone truly free). The ROM is being uploaded to my GDrive right now.
Expect a new Thread tomorrow about installing TWRP and this Custom ROM.

It doesn't work. The TWRP I compiled doesn't recognize the phone's partitions. I'm waiting for the reply of HAFURY/CUBOT, because if they send me the device tree, it would be quite easy because I know what to do next.

They didn't give a damn. Now, I am working in other things (university and that stuff). As soon as I have time again, I will try to use another device tree and adapt it to this phone.
Also, you shouldn't have bought this phone. You will see a lot of bugs that WON'T be fixed. HAFURY/CUBOT have a ridiculous support.

that sucks,yea i kind of regret getting this phone,and i hope you make some future progress with it when you have the time.I'm wondering is there any way to access the internal storage from explorer? i can only see the sd card for some reason and the mobigo app it comes with has the option to root but doesn't do anything but restart the phone

They released the phone ROM while ago: forum[dot]cubot[dot]net/viewtopic.php?t=1495
You can extract the system.img and take a look inside the System partition.

I've tried to use ported 6580 TWRP 3.1.1 and TWRP from Cubot Rainbow 2, it doesn't cause any bootloop but doesn't seems to work either

Well, i haven't tried to compile TWRP again because Cubot/Hafury doesn't want to give me any of the files I requested (as I though). I will mirror the repo of OMNI and, well, pray a little the next time I try to compile it.
For the moment, I have tried to use any of the TWRPs there are in the Internet of similar phones. They haven't work. The phones I tried were Infinix Hot 5 and Infinix Hot 5 Lite. Please, people, try things like I'm doing and we will have TWRP and Root soon.
