No, it is not possible to convert i777 to i9100. But the 9100 ROMs can be converted for use on the i777.
What you have is an i777 that is running a converted 9100 ROM.

You can install any i9100 ROM but you must use a mic-swapping kernel made for the i777 and install the keylayout file for an i777. This process is known as hellraising.
You should do a lot of research before flashing anything onto your phone.

You need to search, my friend. There are several guides for porting already in this forum.
But AJ's very right in the fact that you need to do a lot of reading before attempting to flash anything onto your device. Installing the wrong firmware can brick your phone.

Hi, just wondering which Kernel suitable for my australian vadafone galaxy 2 Kernel DUKF4, and which one is stock Kernel so that i can get rid of yellow ****! Thanks so much!
Try looking * HERE *
Hi All,
I am really new to the whole android scene. I tried searching for a exact answer in the forums with some luck I found bits and pieces of information. I am trying to find the correct insecure Kernel to root my Samsung Galaxy S2, Australian 3 Mobile carrier.
PDA: I9100TDUKF4
PHONE: I9100TDUKF4
CSC: I9100THUTKG1
Build Info: Wed Jun 29 17.28.38 KST 2011
From what I read on the forums you can use any insecure kernel that has a number close to the one on the phone.
looking at the available kernels on Odia's thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671&highlight=I9100TDUKF4
which would be the better insecure kernel to use?
GT-I9100_XWKF4_insecure or GT-I9100T_DUKF2_insecure
Thanks in advance!
Hi people,
I make today custom kernel for this device.
I cannot guarantee that it works because I dont have this device.
Also there is no stock kernel available so if it goes wrong ...
But there is also good news, codeworkx has compiled a CWM kernel for this ATT device.
I think that is working, also I am trying to get the stock firmware
Before you flash any kernel DO *#1234# AND POST THE OUTPUT HERE!

Same on my phone.
This was the speifications of my i9100T SGS2 when I upgraded it to ICS.
pda ; i9100TDULP9
Phone: i9100TDULP4
CSC :0100TVAULP7
build info = Thu Apr 19 20:45:05 KST 2012
android ver: 4.0.3
baseband : i9100TDULP4
Kernel ver: 3.0.15-i9100TDULP9-CL422302 [email protected]#3
build no IML74K.DULP9
I flashed the phone with Resurrection customised ROM ( and has becomea i9100, the T gone -i9100XXLPS) and find the speed of the modem greatly reduced. (0.1 mbps) Can somebody suggest what is the problem. Is it possible to flash another modem only.

it looks like you got a i9100T device with a i9100 modem
you need to find an i9100T modem
here's a thread that can help you

good luck
I'm going to take a wild stab & say you're using an I9100T on Voda AU. If that's the case, DUKJ1 is still the gold standard so far as modems are concerned (works well for almost everyone on Voda AU). Do a Google search with XDA appended to your search terms & you should be able to find a link or two where you can download a CWM flashable version of this modem.

Now I got hold of a DULP4 modem meant for i9100T. but it has a modem.tar file. How do one flash a .tar file containing a .bin file?
And is it possible to use DUKF4 instead? Sorry, still a newbie.
Extract the bin & flash it in the phone section of Odin. You can flash any modem for the I9100 or I9100T. Some will work better than others. If you find a given modem doesn't work, flash another. Keep flashing modems until you find one that does work well for you.

I'm lost, I9100p or I900p?
If it's I900p, what phone is that?
If it's I9100p flash any I9100 ROM / kernel.
If you don't wanna lose NFC, there's a couple of threads with a NFC enabler laying around here somewhere.
i guess it's about a i9100p
don't think a i900p exist....he wouldn't be posting here
and yes - any kernel would do the job (as gastonw says)

This is the jelly bean ERA, gingerbread is long gone.
Unzip that and you'll get a single file containing Code, CSC & modem.

first at all, use the search field ...
your thread is going on " which one is the best kernel " be careful dude.
XDA-devs is a site about so much options, we all have to try out our excperience, you have to try out your experience with kernels and roms on yourself, search for how to root ICS i9100 in the search field
