[Q] Problem with google account with tigra rom - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello guys, I wanted a help on the tigra rom. I installed but the google account does not work anymore .. continues to give me error when I try to take advantage of any google services. with the stock rom was enough to reflash the firmware or do a reset but with the tigra rom does not work. can you give me a hand?

I think it might be a bug within the ROM? Try changing the ROM or wiping data first. If the problem persists after changing several ROMs it would possibly be a hardware problem. But most likely it can be solved by wiping or reflashing.

is a problem of the rom ... and I'm sure ... I was looking for someone who has installed the same rom to see if he could do about it ...

Same for me too. Google account resets whenever I try to update the OS, or even change an option in Wanam Xposed installer too.
Please do provide a solution on how to fix this!
Otherwise this is a wonderful rom with great features and nice battery life.

[Q] NEED HELP ASAP droid eris rom/root

Yesterday i installed Kaosgingerbread rom to my eris and it worked sucessfully...but i found out that all of my apps are gone EVEN MY APP MARKET the only app i have is superuser so now there is no market to get rom manager.! WHAT DO I DO?! i need help asap please if you are reading this help me an and if anyone knows what to do reply or something!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much//// o yea and also my messeging works but when i try to add a gmail account it wont load successfully to..
You need to find the appropriate gapps zip file and flash it along with the new ROM to get market back. Flashing a new ROM will almost always delete everything on the phone.
OK i am kind of new to this sorrry for being a pain in the butt but can you explain it more because i really like the rom and all but besides the fact that i dont have the marketplace it sucks...so if its possible can you explain step by step and if not would it be possible to contact you through something like xbox or maybe email?

Forward port of Cyanogen Froyo copybit libs partially based on code by ezterry and bypass23 which fixes graphical slowness in OpenGL.
HUGE speed improvements!
V6

Fixed a stability issue with Bionic
Merged latest SU
Fixed Wifi
Fixed Bluetooth
Gapps is having an issue when rolled in currently. for now flash http://www.mediafire.com/?bupx532u98cfrj9 after flashing V6.

Most, but not all of the time anymore when you flash new ROMs you have to flash the GAPPs (Google Apps) package immediately after flashing the ROM, before you reboot into the ROM. Otherwise things like Market and GMail aren't there and you have a crippled phone.
You have to start over from scratch from recovery doing a factory reset/data and cache wipe and then flash the ROM and then the GAPPs.
Enjoy!!!

Not really true. When i flashed my rom I reboot to homescreen, then flash gapps from recovery. No need to reflash the rom.

AFAIK, this advise given by most of the devs in their ROM threads was based on some reports, from time to time, that people who hadn't flashed the GAPPs before booting the ROM, and flashing it after caused their phones to not behave correctly. Flashing it immediately eliminates any possibility that someone might have a problem with that particular part of it, so it's wiser to be cautious and just give the blanket advise to do it immediately than to chance that with some ROMs or some phones, problems might arise.
yea well.. anyone wanna post a tut. on how to do this or something

Download the gapps file from kaos thread. Place gapps zip along with the Rom zip to the root of your sd card. Reboot into recovery. Wipe/factory reset. Wipe dalvik. Flash Rom. Flash gapps. Reboot. Enoy.
That is very true. You'll get the jist of things when u flash roms more often
wait i havent done anything yet but is there a way to restore my phone just back to factory settings?
OK WELL I AM TRYING TO INSTALL GAPPS ONTO MY PHONE FROM MY COMPUTER BUT IT WONT RECOGNIZE MY "DEVICE"/ USB PLUG IN so now what do i do?

Reboot both devices (with the phone unplugged from the computer to start with) and try again. Also, you can mount the SD card via USB directly from Amon RA or Clockwork Mod Recovery. Something like Mount USB-MS in Amon. In Clockwork Mod, it's in the partitions menu.

[Q] Phone freezing after updating ROM

I've already asked in the relevant ROM thread but thought I'd try here in case anyone else has had a similar issue.
I'm currently running Westcrip ICS 9.4 and tried to update to latest version but phone freezes a few seconds after booting (have to restart/battery pull)
I've tried wiping data/cache/dalvik/fix permissions but get exactly the same problem.
I've tried flashing stock GB through odin which works ok and then flashing again but get exactly the same problem.
I've tried flashing bezkes aokp but get exactly the same problem.
Thankfully my 9.4 backup restores OK and runs without any freezes.
The only thing I think it might be is something dodgy/corrupt on my internal memory or SD card. Is it safe to wipe these? I dont want to move my backup as I've had MD5 problems when trying to restore in the past.
Does anyone have any other ideas? I've looked around on the forum/google but can't find anyone else reporting the same problem.
This is driving me mad!! Am I missing something?
No ideas?
Ill try again after clearing internal storage. Can someone recommend the best way to do this please?
I should have said that i get the freeze problems with no non rom apps installed...

Well you are using buggy beta ICS base .
As you can flash and use a stock rom then the problem is the rom you are flashing .
Possible corrupt download .
jje
Thanks for the reply. I tried downloading again but still have the same problem with resurrection and bezke so will try loading a stock ics base through odin when i get home tonight. Do you think my 9.4 resurrection base could be the problem? I read that on earlier ics roms that you should flash stock ics first?

No idea really but how can you flash a stock ICS its not released .
jje
I've been using Bezke's AOKP for 5 days now, without any problem, so the problem is definitely not in his ROM.
When you flash it, try the following:
after wiping data, cache and dalvik, go to mounts and storage and hit format system. It could do the trick maybe...

Arghh!!! Tried this and thought it had solved the problem. I've managed to install the new paradoxx rom now and even reinstall my apps and set up email account, but phone eventually freezes again. I've even started getting random freezes in CWM now! What I cant understand is why my phone is still rock solid running my westcrip 9.4 backup??
I think I might have flashed my phone to an early grave!!
That is really strange. Sorry that formatting system didn't help

This is because your cache is being rebuilt on every reboot. Most likely from restoring a stock rom after using custom roms. This is never a good idea. If you need to return to stock you should do it by Odin. Stock roms do not back up/restore properly.
so this only happens after you wipe Dalvik? That's what's supposed to happen
No its been doing it every time i turn phone on for ages.
Just i read somewhere to wipe davlec should fix it.but then doubled the amount of updates after...
anyway i think will re flash rom from odin again should be better.
was just wondering if there was something simple i didnt do..but i guess its cause i came from non stock rom before..
Thanks for answers..
Are you sure that somewhere in twrp settings or anywhere else that you haven't set the device to wipe dalvik on each boot?
Did you delete some odex files from your system/app

This has nothing to do with the issue. The issue is that the delvic cache is being deleted on reboot. A full wipe and reflash should fix him/her right up.

Whatsapp and Instagram not working after ICS update

Hello!
So, I updated my GT-P7500 yesterday to the ICS stock version. Since then I haven't been able to use whatsapp, nor instagram.
I've tried reinstalling both apps, to no avail. I've also performed a factory reset, to see if it would get the apps working again... everything else works fine on 3G.
By the way, I can't really test to see if those apps will work on wifi.

Uninstall both apps...
Boot to recovery and wipe cache... and then reboot..
Reinstall apps... if that doesn't work...
Uninstall the apps..
Then go into you're app manager and uninstall the playstore updates( do it on both the playstore apps listed.. if you have two )..Do not uninstall the apps themselves. Since it sounds like you're not rooted. This shouldn't be an issue, but I had to put it out there.. for you're safety..
After that..boot back to recovery and wipe cache... reboot..
Reinstall apps...... let me know what's up..

So, I'm rooted.
Forgot to add that to the topic, but I've tried uninstalling the apps and wiping the cache...
Just tried uninstalling the updates on the playstore and cleaning the cache, and it still didn't fix the issue.

Since you're rooted... do you have a custom recovery( cwm or TWRP )
If so wipe dalvik with the cache wipe and see what happens..
I'll look around for a better solution

Yeah, I have the cwm.
I wiped the dalvik cache and it didn't fix the issue...
I've noticed youtube app is not working as well.
I can tether the connection and open youtube normally on my laptop, though...

Sorry for the late reply... but from what I can tell.. this is a known or atleast consistent problem with other users... I haven't seen any fixes, but you might try an older version of the apps and see what happens..
Good Luck

Hey Gil!
I've managed to solve the issue, so I will post here my solution. If anyone facing that problem step by this thread, he or she might have a chance solving it.
I had given up solving it, and downloaded CyanogenMod 10.1...
I did a factory reset on my tablet, and tried to flash the cm through cwm... For some reason it didn't work, it gave me an error.
Kinda pissed, I decided to try once more to solve my issue or give up and go for another rom, such as gambarou.
I re-flashed the stock ICS using odin.
Booted and voilĂ , everything worked!
Thanks for your help, Gil! =]

I must ask.. did you re-download the stock ICS file.. if so.. the first might have been a bad dl... if not.. then I guess during the first flash, something went sideways..
either way.. glad you're up and running at full speed..

Reboot whenever I try to uninstall an app.

Hey All..
I'm facing this problem - whenever I try to uninstall an app, my phone reboots(soft reboot) and the app doesn't gets uninstalled..
I'm able to install apps fine though.. Just unable to uninstall them lol
Currently using Xenon HD rom but I have faced the similar issue on some other ROMs aswell. Typically happens when I use a particular ROM for too long.
The only fix I've found so far is re-installing the ROM...
Am I missing any trick here? And good way to solve this issue? Any suggestions or FIXs are most welcome..
This ROM is very nice... Don't wanna waste 2 hours re-installing the ROM, setting my device again.. etc; etc;
Thank You,
-pXbz

Try changing your rom to rr5..5.9 or 5.6 if it doesn't solve your problem then try changing kernel
