Official 4.3 Update for TMOUS coming! - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I know, I know, everyone has enjoyed it for a long time, but now we will officially have wifi call support on 4.3 (one of the big reasons why I didn't upgrade)!

Needs to hurry up and hit my phone!!!

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Really? I didn't see any of them, which is why I posted. I scrolled through and saw nothing, then when I started the title of the thread, the suggestions for similar threads didn't show anything close, so I went ahead and posted it...

T-Mobile customer support is irritating.. I called them to ask about the 4.3 update and they told me T-Mobile won't be pushing anything out to our phones until Nov/Dec
I don't know if that rep knew what she was talking about, but she better not be right.

Don't worry they aren't. She's probably confused about some other update? I mean HTC did also say the DNA would be December. Even so tmobile doesn't even sell the DNA.

I don't know, I was very specific and she checked the "HTC One LTE" which is how they label this phone.. but I just tweeted to Jason Mackenzie @ HTC so we'll see what he says. T-Mobile told me, "well you can update manually if HTC releases the update" but that T-mobile won't be pushing anything until Nov./Dec.

it doesn't really matter if the one customer representative is aware or not. we're going to get the update. that customer rep isn't going to determine if we are or aren't.

CarrierIQ not detected on my Rezound

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet, but as far as I can tell, Verizon isn't lying about CarrierIQ not being on their phones, at least not the Rezound.
Mine tests clean. Completely stock, retail, s-on device.
The .apk by the discoverer of this threat is available here for those who are paranoid and want to check for themselves like me.
Haven't seen ANYONE with a Verizon Android device find it yet, but I would love to hear if any do. I'm new to Verizon, so I don't have a whole lot of trust in them yet and want to know if they're lying to us.
They may bake in their own variant or have another way of tracking, I don't want to speculate, but it isn't on my phone either.
They were talking about carrier IQ on the NBC News with Bryan Williams tonight.

Verizon phones don't have it.
So maybe we need to stalk some threads of rooted phones. I read on CNET today this from HTC, "Carrier IQ is required on devices by a number of U.S. carriers."

You read correctly. However, Engadget has been in contact with most all of the phone manufacturers and carriers.
Verizon responded by stating that "Carrier IQ has never been installed on any Verizon phone. "

You are misinformed, Verizon is not an advocate for it, and has filed lawsuits to BLOCK Net Neutrality. Net Neutrality is NOT a good thing for end users.
When the phone is rooted the Devs can usually find the malware and remove it.

Yes, I'm sure the corporate behemoth that is Verizon figured out our devs had cracked GSM on Tuesday, and prepped advertising material for it by Friday.

sprint sg3 gets Jb smh

http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/25/jelly-bean-sprint-galaxy-s3/
While they may be getting it now, HTC will be releasing to the One X this month (as far as what they said). I would imagine we'd get it shortly thereafter for the EVO. I think they're stepping up their game, and this just proves it. They're the first US carrier to drop Jelly Bean for a phone that's available on almost all of the US carriers.

The fact that they don't have it as yet is proof enough as to where the problem lies. The SIII is a newer phone yet it gets an OS update before the One X/ EVO? HTC's ship is about to capsize.

Don't forget, Samsung's manpower size is like >>>>>>>>>> than HTC's. Samsung is a much huger company.
I'm dying for Sense to be updated to JB cuz I REALLY like the Sense camera and a few other things. JB stock is a speed demon and all, but even the AOSP camera sucks compared to Sense. I bought this damn phone mainly for the camera's prowess, but that's stripped without Sense. Yet, with the current Sense, I hate using my phone cuz it's crap performance. DAMN YOU, TRADE-OFFS! I JUST WANT TO HAVE MY CAKE AND EAT IT, TOO!
Saw that the 1x was getting 4.12 in Taiwan. Probably why it's taking longer.

Also, look at the differences in HTC and Samsung as far as overlays. There's a lot more work going into Sense than there is for Samsung's phones.

Did Verizon and HTC break up?
The only HTC phone available on their site is the Incredible 4G and its for pre-owned only.
In store they have nothing.
