I've used many batteries now like Anker 1900mah, Onite 1920mah,mugen 3600mah,.... The strongest one is definitely the mugen 3600mah, but it makes the phone too ugly with the back cover.Recently, I bought the gold 2450mah battery on ebay which costs only $5, and it is suck. It's worse than the stock battery, then I switch back to the Anker. However, the Anker can't provide enough juice for me, so I found a Acesoft battery. I haven't used Acesoft battery, but I found one review in this forum which marked Acesoft is not bad. I'm not sure anyone here has use this red Acesoft battery. On their website, it is 2400mah, but on Ebay, it's 2520mah and around $18. Im not sure about the quality. Can anyone actually have it, and used it tell me? Thanks.

Second, I unplugged it this morning and it was at 100%. I went to my classes start from 8am to 1pm. I did some web browsing and watch some youtube video during that time. After get home at 1:30, I used winamp to listen to some musics, then spent about 5 minutes to play candy rush saga. I admit the candy rush saga drains my battery from 62% to 41% in just 5 minutes. Then I web browsing a little bit, and this is why I got
This is the time the phone is actually was used.
Acesoft 2530mah $17.98 (ebay.com)
The screen brightness is the same. I just unboxing it at 4pm and plugged it to my phone. It showed 98% battery, so I started draining it. I played candy rush saga, minion madness, and asphault 8 in total 20 minutes. The battery was at 98% down to 62% after playing those games. Then I watched youtube and did some web browsing. This is what I got
Time screen on
I want to see if the same amount of time was used, which battery gives me more juice. I think the Acesoft did better in my case. I'll post some more result after a few drain and full charge this battery; I hope it won't fail me. If you have $18 to spend on a battery, this must be an option you need to consider.
first charge
First full charge the battery, I woke up at 4am started using it. Dont' know why web browsing costs too much battery life. It costs about 1% battery life in 40 second while web browsing. I spent 14 minutes to play candy crush saga this time. Watching youtube video costs very little.
screen on
drain down to 2% by watching youtube. It costs like 1% battery per 5 minutes watching. Very good. I hope this same amount of time will apply for web browsing. Web browsing is too bad for battery life.
second charge
The second charge provides the same juice as the first charge. This is weekend, so I use my phone heavier than the other day in week. In this charge, I have no idea why web browsing costs less battery than watching youtube, and I mainly watching youtube in this charge. However, gaming doesn't change; candy crush saga drained my battery from 62% to 42% in just 5 minutes. My brother HTC one costs only 2% in the same 5 minutes gaming. Its crazy. I think this battery can last at least 4 hours screen on without gaming. If you want to play game on the Amaze, I think you need a charger or another battery.
after this review, if you have the same battery, you can post in here, so more people will have a better look how good it is. My amaze is 2 years old, and its running on Cm10.1 Dark Glass rev 2 Rom with Int.tweak ( without cpu adjustment), and most important thing is it is powered by Acesoft 2530mah (actually it is not 2530mah I think).

Anyone tried high capacy batteries for our Wizard?
I found one Ebay a 2350mAh battery and would like to know if it really expands the battery life a lot!
link
I have the extended battery for my T-Mobile MDA. Works great, gets about 3 days under continuous usage at work. Never had the normal battery, but with the extended it doesn't seem to have any battery issues I read about before purchasing my device. I got mine on ebay too, they're from some cheapo Japanese manufacturer, but working well so far.
what's the mah that comes standard with our varios?
I bought one of those 2400 mAh batteries and it makes the difference of a couple of days. It's funny, tho...the standard battery sits at 100% forever and then when it starts dropping, it appears to drop relatively quickly. The 2400 mAh battery, on the other hand, appears to drop fairly quickly until it hits 50%. Then it sits there forever before dropping below that. But anyway, the stock battery would last me about three days, the large one lasts about 5.
Thanks for the answers!
I checked but it seems that the extended batteries are also a lot thicker.
And you will get a new backcase because otherwise it wont fit...
I do like a good extended battery but I dont want my phone to be any bigger
An alternative might be one of those battery powered "quick chargers"....I saw a link for one on a .nl site somewhere in this section. Anyway, I believe it uses a AA battery and it appeared to have a wizard compatible plug. You could always keep a couple charged NiCad AA batteries in your pocket and if your phone battery runs low, give it a boost with the charger. Then you get some extra battery life without increasing the size of the phone itself.
i have one from lion battery.....love it.
got pictures of how much bigger the battery sticks out on the mda ? thanks in advance
It will stick out a fair bit:

I find the standard (1250mAh, not the 1000mAh) battery lasts for two full working days plus travel time worth of heavy use. I use it for listening to music for about six hours a day as well as working.
I charge it every two days and find this good. If I only use it as a phone it can go all week with one charge.
I replaced the standard Cellexpert battery with the one from Sino that is also rated at 1250 mAh and it seems to last approximatelly 50% longer than the original one. Maybe it is fresher or the mAh rating is more conservative than that of Cellexpert.
O2 uses the 1.25Ah battery as standard. Don't see the point in the 1Ah battery if the 1.25 is the same size...
Too Big
I bought one. but it's too big for my case. It works at least twice as long as the standard. I use it when camping or boating with a big waterproof case, were the size isn't an issue.
My standard battery works OK. as long as I let it discharge about 80% every couple weeks.
my mda dies (drops below 20%) after ~8-9 hrs of use. granted i'm on it a lot. i still dont understand how they could POSSIBLY rate this phone's standby time of 240 hrs.

cuz they turn the screen to nothing, set every shutoff timer to 1 second, and turn off all radios. try it! max battery life!
I would love more battery, but this thing is a behemoth anyway (for those of us who won't use a holster) and i'm not willing to go any thicker.. bah.. looks like i'll carry a second battery charged in a bag as an emergency go to.
I get about 24hrs of MP3 playback on my Wizard with the 1250mAh battery screen off and volume at 80%. It lasts more than a week on standby with minimal use.
next question. with the oem battery, did u guys charge it for ~ 4 hours on the initial charge, or did u guys charge it over night?
I charged it off the USB port for less than 4 hours and the batterylife is still really good.
22% more battery life is always welcome IMHO

I don't own this extended battery but I will have to guess with yes, same size.
My guess is based on the data sheet stating that a battery door is not required. I looked up other phone models and noticed that battery doors are provided for extended batteries that are too fat to fit underneath the phone's standard case.
Whatever happened to this thread... did the battery work or not?
Well if you wait a little longer WPCENTRAL.com was gonna make a review with a lot of testing on this battery for the HTC TITAN. Just keep checking the website of wpcentral.
Thanks, I will watch the site
+1 watching the site
Just to let you guys know I got my mugen battery turned up yesterday.
It had the 12h charge like it said and im discharging it right now. If you line it up to the oem battery it is a little thicker but fits in just fine, it does make the phone a little heavier but comfortable to hold still.
after a few days will let you know how I get on, sofar things are looking good
Battery seems ok but....
After Loading the Batterie, in 1 hour i have 80%.
It seems that the Batterie will Not be calibrate correctly.

Mugen released a 3600mAh battery for HTC Titan.
Is there any review for this? Or any photo of the 3600 extended cover?
Actually on this Battery wpcentral tested it. Unlike the slim extended version. Check out the side.

Well, I'm waiting for mine to arrive, I hope it will prove a good battery. I'm not good at testing, but I might try to compare the benchmark with the original battery and this Mugen one.
Boom, just got mine yesterday.

There seems to be a lot of speculation and hype over the razr maxx battery.
Some people get 2 - 3 days, some only 12 hours.
I for one, get about 12 hours with moderate - heavy usage (ocxasionally).
As we all hope for we want that 17 hour /21 hour talk time motorola tells us.
I am using a Gsm model, so i would have expected a longer talk time than the 4G lte versions. It is a 3200mah battery (4G gets the 3300mah?)
I only get about 12 hours of continuous usage (5 hours off the 17 hour benchmark)
So im going to ask everyone that owns a razr maxx to screen shot their talk time.
Using the gsam battery monitor app which gives a good indication of how much talk time left based on calculations and usage.
My talk time, stand by and average time left is here:

With cpuspy app; it is properly deep sleeping too and under locked to 300mhz on screen off:
1)What's everyone else's maxx battery life like? Please post screen shot
2) does your razr maxx battery read 3300mah or 3200mah? Mine reads 3200mah..
At the moment it's been 3 hours and it's - 8% already.. Only played Internet radio for 15 minutes which drained 2%

I'm finding it lasts just as long as my desire z, which had less than half the battery size! I get a day comfortably but that's not the 2 days comfortably I was expecting/hoping for.
Don't have a screenshot but on my last charge it was around 1 day 2hrs, screen on 2.5hrs, no wifi, gps/bluetooth off. Using gsam and cpuspy and all looks ok pretty much. Although, digging into gsam app sucker, I notice that kernel is always the highest and I also notice that the sensor useage (accelerometer/pressure) is always on roughly about the same as screen time but it has a LOT of wakelocks. Might try disabling that for a while.
But I feel I should be getting much longer than I do. I do have facebook but it's time on and wakeups don't suggest any abnormalites.
I see mention of some people finding out what size their battery was, how are they doing this? Battery monitor widget says 3200mA but is there another method people are using?
Also, I seem to lose roughly 5% an hour battery mostly idling, this seems far too much.
Screen shot 1st day had razr maxx. As a test I turned on absolutely everything I could, 4g, wifi, bluetooth, gps and maxed out screen brightness and managed to still squeeze out 16hours of battery life. The entire time I was listening to music, texting, surfing the web, watching video's while running a live wallpaper.

I haven't yet seen any type of discussion regarding the battery life after the 5.0 update so I thought I'd bring it up and see what others are getting.
As for myself, I manually flashed the image from Google and did a factory reset on all data. So far I am not impressed with the battery life. I could not be any happier with the fluidity, performance, etc, of the tablet after this update, but SOT has gotten immediately worse.
When new, this tab could easily rip off 6-7 hours SOT with my typical usage, almost all with Cyanogenmod. More recently it has been 5-6 hours, but then again it's two yeas old.
My most recent experiences as far as SOT: last night my tablet was at around 50% battery with only 1:47:00 SOT. That was with mixed usage: browsing, light gaming, and so on.
Just this morning I only did some web browsing and after 15 minutes of SOT the battery was at 90%. Typically on 4.4.4 (CM 11), I could expect 96% battery after 15 mins of web browsing.
Again, I'm still getting used to the battery performance with the update, and currently plan to drain the battery down to nothing and let it fully recharge. I was just curious as to how your battery experience has been with the 5.0 update.
I think my battery life has improved. Mainly browsing and watching Netflix. 30% left and well over 6h SOT.

Damn, well I either need to work on improving it or my battery is just losing it.
Mine has nearly doubled, I kid you not.
Out the box I never got more than 5.5 hrs out the nexus 10, tried a few custom ROMs with the same result. I'm now at 6 hrs SOT of video, browsing and using an art program and still have 40%. That's near enough ten hours. Well happy.
I haven't used mine yet in a comparable way to before the update, but so far it also "seems" like battery life has improved.

Enviado desde mi móvil.
Well, like I'd planned, I ran it down to 0% last night. It actually got to 14% when it jumped to zero and died on me. I let it charge over night and the battery life has immediately improved. I'm guessing during the update the battery stats got a little messed up.
You should try installing "Deep sleep battery saver" from the appstore.. i use my n10 about 3-4 hours a night and charge it once a week.. DSBS is just amazing.. overnight i use like 1% or less while its off..
my battery life has improved by a huge amount, this was one of my major complaints of kitkat!
Battery life is worse than before for me, dont have actual numbers but it is definitly noticable...
Overall experience is so much better, great job
I did ota sideload...
Hoping for new OTA to fix that and other bugs like random audio loss (fixed by reboot) and that priority star notification that keeps turning on
No random reboots for now, on KK i had few a month but i blame Chrome for that.
I ended up having 8h 45min of SOT (4% left of battery). I did clean install from factory images.
After running it down to zero last night (remember it jumped from 14% to zero and died), I unplugged it this morning and browsed news and played a few turn-based game for 30 mins of SOT. When I put it down it was at 95%. If you do the math that is a projected 10 hours SOT. Now, realistically speaking, I don't expect it to keep that pace and hit ten hours, but it's much better than the 92% w/ 20 mins SOT that I was getting before the drain and recharge. We'll see how it goes from here.
my z5c came with regular 1.5a charger (which take to charge to 60% 60 minutes , and 75min to 80% 2.5hrs to 100%
i saw aukey QC 2.0 for about 14$
and charge to 60% is twice as fast(30mins) but to 100% is only 30min diffrent 120mins
is worth buying it?
thx
It's worth every penny and a must without a replaceable battery. It's the only way I could get my phone to last throughout the workday was to quick charge at lunch.
I wonder what you work that you have time to drain your battery so fast
when I leave the house at 6am and come home at 5pm I have about 75 to 85% left. When I go to bed at 11pm I still have about 50%. (and no Stamina mode etc) Maybe I'm not that kind of power-user...
Anyways. I bought a quick charger (Anker Power Port+ 1 and Power Drive+ 1 for car) to be prepared for situations where I need power very quick.
To OP: Quick chargers are not meant for charging full capacity in high speed but for charging a certain amount very quick, but the end goes slower. So when you have about 10% left and you're for example about to go out at night, then you can quick charge it to let's say 40 or 50% in a short time. So your battery will last the night at best. That's the main purpose of quick chargers.
I have aukey qc 2.0. To be honest it doesn't charge as fast as qualcomm says. But still it charges about 55% in first 30min phone charge to is less than 5%. From 0% to 100% it takes about 105-110min
Qualcomm has done test in laboratory condition, I think it means no WiFi no data almost 0 apps etc.

Emails, texts, calls, and a lot of data input to spreadsheets. My phone is screen on pretty heavily from 8am until 4pm.
This was a good day here lol I average about 5 hours of screen on time and see that's about the same for everyone, except my 5 hours are 5 straight hours and really need to be 8 or 9.
