Anybody know of a way to pop open a pen window without having to pull out the pen.
I find the pen window quite handy but ...
Ideally I'd love to be able to just pop open a pen window at a set size directly from a shortcut window without the pen at all.
Any ideas appreciated.

Ok. Maybe there isn't a way to do this at the moment. Anybody know if maybe Tasker will let me pop out a pen window.

Just downloaded the Access Graffiti app yesterday. It is just like the Palm Graffiti from the old days. It's pretty awesome with the Note since we have a Stylus... er... S-Pen.
Anybody else use the app?
Q:
Any idea how to click "enter" when trying to submit a search?
Q:
I wish there was a way to do on the fly switching between keyboard and Graffiti. Perhaps this exists and I'm just missing it [?]. [it would be amazing if there was a way to default to keyboard unless the stylus was removed - but as far as I know the phone doesn't sense the presence of the stylus].
The phone does sense the spen.
Put the tip of the pen close to the screen but not touching and you will notice it keeps the screen from turning off

It doesn't sense when the S-Pen is removed - If I had one major gripe, I'd say that is it. It would be nice to have the screen turn on the moment you remove the S-Pen.
Hey man, I just downloaded the Graffiti for Android. It's actually pretty awesome. Now I just need to memorize the keys... I don't know if figured it out already but I have an answer from your first questions.
"Q: Any idea how to click "enter" when trying to submit a search?"
If you tap and drag from the top right diagonally to bottom left it is the command for "return". Actually you can see all the commands if you swype up. A little window will show up and you can cycle through the box of commands by tapping.
I love this Graffiti app!
Does the Z2 have the same pen writing capabilities as the Samsung Note. I mean anytime I want to type something in the browser search window or reply to an email/ message, is there a large enough window on the bottom that can pop out where I can write instead of using a virtual keyboard. Or is there some type of xpose module that will make a window pop up for me to write in on the bottom across the full width of the screen but only maybe 1” high instead of a keyboard popping up?.
Cheers
I would like to disable Air Command in order to make the s pen button available to apps. I have found the air command settings, but there does not seem to be an option to disable it altogether. If I delete all the shortcuts and then press the button, it appears with a "helpful" tip to use the s pen >detachment settings to disable it. But there is no such section, presumably because the pen cannot be inserted into this tablet.
Is there truly no way to disable Air Command?
Can anyone either confirm to problem or tell me what I am missing?

Doesn't look like there is a way to disable it completely (even in the System Apps menu). But the button is available to use when use in apps as an eraser (a la Microsoft Word) even with Air Command enabled if you hold it. It seems like Air Command doesn't pop up if you long press the button instead of a short click.
Hope this helps.

Thank you. I have discovered this, and that it also works if you touch the screen with the pen before releasing it. (It occurs to me that may be more about the extra time it takes to do that than the touch).
When I began trying to disable Air Command, I was using an app with broken button support. Now that I understand that Air Command does not interfere with the use of the button in apps I am happy to leave it enabled.

I'm a bit late to this post, but I wanted to let you know there is a way around that. I was able to disable it by freezing it in titanium (pretty sure that feature requires root, so there is your one catch.) You won't be able to disable it from your regular app settings as samsung doesn't allow this. Just search air in titanium and you should see it.
When I found this fix I was overcome with joy and satisfaction. I F*cking hate air command, and especially hate gimmicks that are forced on the end user. The button has so many other uses in drawing apps, but those uses get nerfed by having an annoying popup come up unless you long press. Samsung should have enabled air command as a long press event.
"BK package disabler" app works fine with me. Im using Galaxy Tab 10.1 with S Pen. This app can disable only the air command feature while enabling other in-app functions that are using s pen button. The "Air Command" app is under the "System" tab in the app. No rooting required. One thing is you have to buy the app but the price is cheap and it is worth the money!
Dude, thanks

I've been looking for an answer since ages, I've just made an account, so that I can thank you: THANK YOU.
My s-pen doesn't bring up the air command on the tablet. Never did. Also, the is no air command floating icon. These are all turned on in the Settings. It's not an s-pen problem because I tried the pen with my Note 5 phone and the air command menu appears. Everything else seems to work with the pen. Underlining, drawing, magnify, etc. Even the tiny circle when I hover over the screen. Just no air command.

I'm having the same problem, used to work now doesn't. Could it be stylus or software problem. Any help appreciated.
Hi guys I have what appears to be an unusual issue and not sure if it's my phone or this is how the spen is now supposed to work. Whenever I hit for instance the Google search bar or open the message app and attempt to type using the spen I get no response, until I touch the screen where I need to type with my finger first, then I can use the spen. Surely this isn't the way it's supposed to be?. Also could it be an issue with the spen and using gboard?. I also uninstalled the default Samsung keyboard could this also be an issue?

well, I guess the answer to your questions are in your questions themselves...remove the question marks in the last 2 questions and your answers will appear!
Now fixed!
