Im new to the root thing but I just rooted with twrp recovery and superSU 1.65. Does anyone know how I could turn off the noise cancelling Mic? I have the common problem where it cancels my own voice.

Thanks, ive seen that already but couldn't get it to work. I downloaded the mod on my phone, then installed it through the twrp recovery thing. Is this the right method? Or do I have to do the command prompt flash thing on my pc? Sorry I'm still naive to these things
Are you on stock rom?

I think that it does not Work with stock rooted, you need a custom sense based rom.

what is rom? Jk, yeah im on stock, guess I'll look into getting custom...here we go..this Mic problem is the only reason I decided to root in the first place, might as well go all the way til I fix it
Im running cleanrom 6.0 and it work just flash the 4.2.2 zip not the 4.3 with call recording, but first you need the custom Rom.

i installed cleanrom but the noise suppression still did not disable. i even tried insertcoin sense rom 5.0-3 which has the option to disable noise suppression when installing, but still it cancels my own voice...this is very frustrating. any advice?
I don't really know what to say because it worked for me. You should ask on the tread.

I just purchased recently a HDC Galaxy Note 3- Snapdragon APQ8064 Quad Core 1.7GHz 5.0inch IPS HD Android 4.2.2 Phone. How to have CWM install on this phone?
Help appreciated.
Try the many apps on the market for the right cwm for your phone. e.i. Rom manager. Clockwork has its own app also.

Do not do this as your phone is bot a real galaxy note and you most probably will end up with a brick. You could try searching for one or make your own from source.

I didn't say anything about flashing it right away, one has to check compatibility, I didn't think I had to mention that because it's so obvious...

Flashing a firmware is not problem. I can use SP Flash Tools for this as well as rooting the phone. However, I need a CWM as this comes with more functions as compare to the stock recovery.
hi when i was going through the GPE conversion it said that changing model id is not necessary but when i flash the zip file it gives me and error on the model id. cell id is fine since it was easy to change to the google one. i tried the model id change guide but it gives me an error when i flash the changed zip file.
i changed the text file parts to PN0712000 / GOOGL001/ and 1.27531.8.
On fastboot type fastboot own writecid 11111111 that's for super cid then through fastboot flash ge ruu.

sorry im not up to par. by that you mean use terminal emulator to change the model id?
8. Enter the command "fastboot oem readcid". Make a note of your original CID.
9.enter the command "fastboot oem writecid 11111111"
10. enter the command "fastboot read cid" [it should confirm your CID is 11111111]
11. Press the volume down button twice on your phone and navigate to reboot bootloader, then hit power button to reboot the bootloader.
12. Bootloader will also say "CID-11111111" now to confirm You can now flash any ROM you like.
is that it?

Hey all,
I'm hoping someone can post the stock Sprint dialer stuff. I'm on the Sprint G2 using a G3 rom and there are issues with the dialer app crashes when the device is set as Sprint. I'm thinking that Sprint may have a carrier specific dialer app that isn't present in this rom and that's why it crashes. If anyone can post these files it wold be much appreciated.
