hi,
I have a question.
if i flashed a rom destined for xt910 and accidently tought it was the same model as mine who is a xt885 and got brick...
can it be unbricked....or im totally screwed ??
Hard luck!
For Samsung phones they use a jig to recover the phone from this problem. But i haven't heard any such device for Motorola.. :/

What device do you have? Not many devices got that update (either they weren't updated to it or they "skipped" that update.
I'm using the OG Droid.
Tried another one today but it didn't want to work I recovered my old one again.

Anyone? I still can't find any.

If OG Droid = Motorola Droid A855
Try to google
Code:
Motorola Droid A855 2.3
And you'll find answers
I have. You obviously didn't read my other posts. That's why I asked if anyone suggest any.

Whenever I try to install a rom I download from rom manager when my phone reboots to finish the installation it freezes with a triangle an exclamation point and a phone.

You can't roll back because the boot loader has changed, you will brick if you try to roll back from the ota to 2.3.6

No... you can not. You will brick. New bootloader for ICS guarantees this.
Time to call verizon and get a refurb.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
I'm bummed about ICS, too.
I did the update and headphone jack no longer is recognized. I use it everyday in my car. It's not lint in the port.
Anyone have ideas about a fix? I'd rather not root, but I'm on the road enough that I can't go on a trip without Pandora out the headphone jack in the aux port of my car...
Thanks,
Chris
UPDATE: Called Verizon and they immediately sent out a replacement. It was a refurb, but you couldn't tell at all. "Refurbs" are probably products that had the original retail boxes damaged. New phone is on 2.3.6... not sure I'm going to update again.
Check out HTC Sensation theme and app thread. Google now will work on RAZR ics .211. With exception of voice search. But its a start and looks awesome can't wait until its fully functional.

With the minor issue of non-working voice commands/recognition.. For now that is
Might be a dumb question since I'm new at this but can just install the apk for google now that was posted on the other thread and install it on my stock razr or do i need to root it first?

I just tried to install it but it didn't work. Do i need to be rooted?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
You need to be rooted, but Google just releases android 4.1 source, so a Jelly Bean build is in the works I'm sure. I would just be patient, it'll come soon enough

Yeah but we saw how long it took to get ICS ready for the razr. I doubt we get it before Christmas. You think with Google buying Motorola they would be the first to get anything after the nexus line of phones

Go into fastboot mode and use this, it will take you back to Stock like when you first bought it. http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...xt912-jellybean-windows-mac-linux-all-in-one/
Ok I have the rsdlite installed but I can't seem to get a stock rom for the Verizon Droid Razr to download.. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one

Does anyone have a recovery that is tested and working on the Motorola electrify? Also a JB ROM would be nice. Appreciate it

You can also find jb roms from there
Thanks I will try it later. By the way, know a stable JB ROM for the electrify. I was going to try CM or ParanoidAndroid but they don't say that they are compatible with the electrify.

Only some electiry phones shipped with the 2.3.5 update can still have thier bootloader unlocked. I know of none who took the update to ever unlock their bootloader. Sorry to disappoint
