Hello xda users.
I'm on Devswift's v6 and it's working great not just perfect.
But I've noticed that after a few days, stamina mode doesn't work. When you switch it on and off, the time duration doesn't change.
What should I do? I've searched and didn't find a useful answer.
Also, I'll be updating this thread just for Xperia U users to deal with their little problems with JB as Devs are too busy to look into that.
I noticed that problem too !
And another thing that si missing in almost Every JB stock ROM port is the face unlock ... Please if someone knows how to get it back it would be awesome

That's because the rom has calibrated the battery and the estimated battery life is same for both on and off. But don't worry keep it on as it still works (at least on my xperia)

If you want, I've faceunlock in my JB.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for Custom ROMs that are just as good as VillainROM if not better as I've been having problems with it since I first started playing with it a few months back, the most notorious of which has been the battery draining within a couple of hours of fully charging it up!
Criskelo is the rom.you should try and stay with.
Its perfection beyond perfection.

What's it like, battery-wise? The reason why I ask is that hopefully if I try this and it'll fix my modem problem, the battery won't drain without me having to carry a spare in case of emergency...

+1 on this, it's an excellent ROM.
Great battery life and you can leave it stock looking or you can modify it with themes and even more customisable ROMs (surgeons).
HyperDroid just release an update or you can try Foxhound 2.6
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Hyperdroid is the way to go
I tried Foxhound and it's not bad but I don't like the fact that it takes an age to load up the start screens plus the pages for the Apps aren't numbered at the bottom... (I know I'm nitpicking but it's just one of those things that annoys me) So I'll be trying out the others tonight along with the Battery Calibration App that was mentioned in the Foxhound 2.6 thread as well.
MIUI or cyanogenmod. Try both and see what you like more.

After one night on, at school the phone rebooted out of nowhere, and some apps I backupped with TiBu where not available anymore, though they were running well before. Also when you reboot the phone some settings like data traffic are on, even if you had them unchecked before turning the phone off.
Hey everyone, I have one question here. As soon as I purchased my Galaxy Tab I started flashing custom ROMs and actually don't know nothing about stocks battery life and can't compare. So can you tell me how long your battery last in stock ROM ir normal usage? On wifi, 3g, gps on and off.
I did the same but I don't think it's any better in stock.. Mine does 3.5/4 days with 8 hours screen with cm9

No, I don't think that stock will last better. I just want to know what is normal for this device and know if battery starts leaking.

Best thing you can do is test it yourself. Nobody else in the world is going to use the device like you...

When people finally stop asking these kind of questions? -_-"
It's a matter of how you use your phone, how your settings are, data/wifi-usage etc. In other words: it's different for every person, so there is no best rom for battery.

Is it normal for my neo v battery to drain this much when using mobile data? I lose 1% every minute or so... Like now.. I just got 100% charged and after a few sec of pulling off my charger, the battery starts to drain 1% every minute that i am using data but when the phone is on standby battery is alright.
Im on a custom rom- uhd 5.0.1 and my kernel is stock from 4.0.4...bl locked

No, it's not. It's a problem I encountered too after about 1,5 year of using the phone with dozen different ROMs. By no means it's normal.

With packet data ON, that's how efficiently the battery lives. I hope you guys calibrate the battery after a new flash. ( Y)

I always have my packet data on and for about a year I never went over 10%/hour while browsing net outside of WiFi range.
In my case I narrowed the problem down basically to "screen on" state. Suddenly it multiplied power consumption even with packet data and GSM off (level of brightness doesn't matter, simply being on did this).
It persisted through ROM changes (reverting back to stock, different ICS, GB and JB ROMs). I'm not alone in this, as I found dozens of similar cases all over the net, but no solution. Some suggest hardware malfunction, like motherboard short-circuiting.
@halfblack :Well maybe I'm mistaken. But that's normal on some ROMs. My bad! Never faced such an issue.
Sent from my Xperia Neo V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm sorry if I sounded aggressive. It's just that inability to deal with this problem is frustrating.
And you are surely right about some ROMs, especially ICS-based, having minor or major battery issues. UHD should, in my case does, have it under control though.

there's a lot you can do, either get a new custom rom, try a different kernel, go for stock based ones, it's always good to start there. check whether you have gprs or data activated which usually causes drain. how much your battery is being used also dictates towards the drain. if all the above is ok, the kernel might be the issue for rapid drain
get screenies so we can guide you better...
Press Thanks if i've helped you

The stock roms and stock based roms are not at all battery friendly...I'm on moProject42 4.2.2 and my battery hardly drains even if I leave wifi on without switching on wifi optimization. My battery drain is about 1% every 7-8 mins if wifi and screen are on.. I always have around 180mb free ram (which I think almost no one gets after 7-8 hrs of use in ICS based stock roms), use SmartassH3 CPU governor on just 806MHz and still don't face slightest lag in any game I play (Temple run, subway surfers, MotoGP)
The point is there is loads of bloatware running in such roms that battery drain is normal..
Most of the stock based roms and stock roms lack lots of battery and performance tweaks...It's time to switch to cyanogenmod

as far as i remember, ultimate hd 5.0.1 has offline charging...but if you are getting a bootloop then i'd recommend a re-install or if u've installed a custom rom then do the same..but if it still doesn't work then try flashing a different rom...
A word of advice..
1. CM , AOSP and AOKP roms are under continuous process of beta testing..So dont judge I'm on aokp 4.1.2 for now and wifi is still buggy but i can manage(i mean android 4.4 is out now)
2. Try roms based on stock but are completely stripped and are still customizable..eg. JJ Hybrid 3.3 rom. Ultimate HD is very good but apparently a lil too much for our neo v Happy Flashing!:good:
