[Q] Boot loop after battery drained - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Hey guys so last night my phone died, and I left it charging overnight. I'm not sure if it was even charging properly because when I woke up this morning there was no indicator light on. (green or red).
When I try to turn the phone on it just keeps booting to the htc splash then turning black, before repeating the process. I've searched and searched and it seems like many people have had this problem? Does anybody know how to fix this? I've tried recovery and factory reset from the bootloader but those did absolutely nothing.
Btw I've never rooted my phone or anything like that. It's 100% stock from when I got it. Help!

since you are stock and never rooted i would take it back to AT&T for replacement

Will they replace it for free? I don't have any kind of warranty.
And is there anything I can try before I take it to them? I'd like to avoid losing all my data if possible..

ok so i went into factory reset mode from the bootloader and the red triangle with exclamation mark came on. i wiped all the data from the drop down menu and rebooted the phone. however it's still going into the red triangle mode. how do I get out of this and actually get the phone to boot?

I have the same exact problem, but I AM rooted, running TWRP and ARHD 31.5. I've wiped and reflashed already, which fixed, but the battery completely drained again and after a full charge it went into loop mode. Help!

S3 not starting up at all!

Hey guys.
My S3 just died on me.
I left it charging over night, in the morning pulled it out - battery 100% - and play on it for about 5 mins.
After that I simply left the phone on the table, and after a couple of hours, when I picked it up to make a phone call, the phone was shut down.
I tried to turn it on - nothing. Tried the 3-button combinations, nothing! I pulled the battery out and everything - nothing.
I then left it for charge for about 10-15 mins and then tried again - nothing (
Left it charging for a couple of hours, also tried with a other 3 chargers and cables - nope!
I went to a samsung store and tried a new battery, same same
It seems that I have to send it for repairs, but there is a bigger problem: I have a custom rom installed on it - therefore no warranty(
Is there a way of flashing the stock rom with it like this?
Any ideas or anyone had the problem?

Looks like you GS3 died completly (motherboard) , so don't worry that you have a custom rom, they will not be able to check it anyway.
Good luck

Ok, so you say that it might still be covered by warranty?
Won't they still be able to check the flash count?
Thanks!

Yes , if is dead motherboard is still under warranty and no they cannot and they will not check anything. Check the sudden death thread and you will see how many are with same problem as you and they got their phones fixed without any problem.

100% Bricked ?!

Here's how it happened :
Flashed latest Dorimanx kernel last night on the latest Disaster Rom and then began texting, watching some youtube, usual stuff and then went to sleep.
In the morning I couldn't turn it on.
Then I hold the power button but it went bootlooping and kept staying on that Dorimanx starting image.
I succesfully booted and it showed battery at 9% ( it was at 90% when I went to bed).
My first thought was to wipe cache so I did that. But here's the problem.
It got stuck at wiping cache and nothing happened so I removed the battery and then it was dead.No sign of life.
So my question is: It's completely bricked and I can get it returned whitout them knowing that I have been using custom ROM's ?
Cheers

Did you tried to charge it for at least 20 minutes?
If it won't charge, try to replace battery...
Bootloop is not a big deal (wipes will do the job) try replace/charge battery first, then if you still have problems just flash stock via odin and start over...
What I'm trying to say it's that it doesn't show any sign of life.No download mode,no recovery,no nothing.
I've left it with the charger plugged in for about 3 hours and nothing.

check the battery voltage, and or charge the battery externally. make sure its not a power issue first.
And what we're trying to say is try another battery. If that doesn't work, finita la musica.

Yoh. It happened to me before. Some said charge your phone for a while. If it becomes warm near the battery, you can unbrick it a jig.
But my phone didn't get warm. So, I send it to the Samsung service center and yesterday I got it back.
Samsung messed with me for two times! I'm not going to buy another samsung.
That's nice. I've had my phone 15 months & had zero problems with it. Funny about that (there's a hint in there for people clever enough to figure it out).

Hey no worries bro I have bricked 2 sgs2's already and 1 sgs3. Yours is not bricked, happened to me as well. All you must do is connect usb to pc, while keeping the battery out. Then try turn it on normally. then, while it is on, insert your battery again and leave it to charge via usb for a while(tille batt is at least 85%, what I did). Then, before unplugging usb, turn phone off. Unplug usb and go into recovery and flash as per usual. You should be good now. Hope it helps.

[Q] Software or hardware?

So ive been working late and i dropped phone in toilet, yes it was clean. I took it out pulled battery and put it on rice over night. Booted up but no WIFI. "searching for wifi..." and "hwa settings has stopped" in the beginning start up. Thought going back to stock would help but that even made it worse. Now it just hangs with battery logo screen plugged in wall and or computer. Is there anything else that i could do?
UPDATE: Still Stuck on battery screen, cant get to anything but download screen works. Is there a wipe data/reset from Odin

Another guy had a problem somewhat similar to this... phone went dead, had charging issues. His phone claimed it was charging but wouldn't start or anything. Try just leaving it on the charger for a few days.
It was as if the charging circuit on his phone went bananas. He literally had to charge it for a couple days. A couple hours wasn't enough

Best I can say is reflash your ROM from scratch. Sounds like your backup was corrupt somehow.

My phone won't boot !

Hi guys.
I have a bit of a problem here. last night I was talking on the phone (Galaxy S3 I9305) with whatsapp and the connection was lost, it happens sometime because of my wifi I think and i restarted the phone but it never turned on. I was running stock samsung rom android 4.4.4 rooted. it worked fine until last night. I don't know why it won't turn on, the battery was about 30%. The thing is I can't go into recovery either. When i plug the phone to charge, nothing happens, like it wasn't plugged. even Odin can't find it when i connect it to my laptop. I don't know what to do or what happened. I just pray that yoou can tell me what happened and how to make my phone work.
thank you in advance fo any help.

Try plugging in the charger for quite sometime. There are chances that the battery would have drained completely so it may take sometime to boot.

There are chances that it could be hardware issue. Take it to a Samsung cervice centre. Say that it stopped booting all of a sudden. Do not say that you have rooted/custom recovery/other changes you might have done. They will find out whats the problem. If's it a OS problem then they will reflash it for some bucks.

I gave it to a service center who repare phones. They want to try with a new screen to see if something happens, if it boot. but he is thinking about the issue the S3 had when they came out, about the memory. I just hope that it isn't that
