Does anyone here know if they will make a waterproof case for the note 3 I mean I bike a lot and sometimes I get caught in the rain I'm not sure if anyone else does. But does any one have any details. I see the s4 and the iPhone have it why can't the note 3 have it? Thanks people for the input.

Note 3 is a new device so you might have to wait until LifeProof or someone makes a case.
I would put it in a zip lock bag myself or one of those zip lock like bags made to protect you phone in water. I just would spend that much money on a case.
just checked ebay. Should be good enough if caught in the rain.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...oof+case&_nkw=Note+3+waterproof+case&_sacat=0
I seen the 1st one on the the link you sent me that would make do but I'm not sure of that buyer or the location where it's coming from. But the note 2 never had any water proof cases made so I doubt the note 3 would have any.

You mean like this:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...oof+case&_nkw=Note+2+waterproof+case&_sacat=0
Now I wouldn't trust these to go swimming, but should be ok with some rain. Or you could wait some expensive cases from the likes of LifeProof or someone.
Up to you now.
Oh those are note 2 but yes I guess we will have to wait and see I never knew they had like those for the note 2? I tested out the s4 I use to watch netflix in the shower lol that's when breaking bad was a hit.

So it's been 3 months since the note 3 was released, do we now have waterproof cases available commercially?
if you search ebay you can find a few available.
Just as an FYI, those LoveMEI cases are not actually water proof. They are lightly splash resistant. Do NOT get it and rely on it to protect your device in any sort of standing water.
--EDIT NOTE--
Those marketing images are GROSS exaggerations of what the case can or should handle.
I actually waited until end of November for Note3 active, rumored to be released any day now. Finally I gave up waiting and got regular Note3, but still I'm surprised makers don't see market possibilities here, except maybe Sony. Anyhow, I'll be getting plastic ziplock thing they have to waterproof cameras etc. with BT headset for my outdoor adventures, but being as I'm buried under foot of snow, it seems like distant future, maybe they will have active model by then.
For what it's worth, I think the peer pressure is wearing down LifeProof to start working on one.

In addition, the ad for the LoveME case specifies NO S pen access. I imagine that would be possible by a simple plug, similar to the headphone jack cover on the Lifeproof case.

I hope so

I hope so too. Their cases are the only ones I will trust for waterproof. Im sad they didnt make a N2 one but the S4 LP gives me hope they will do N3 too.

The Seido case looks cool but I have had better experience using those dry bags you can buy for phones. I have had a couple and they all work really well. I want to get a DryCase for my Note 3. The thing I like about them over the specifically designed cases is that with the bag you can throw in a small leather card holder with I.D. and your favorite method of payment and it all goes with you in one little package and stays dry as well.

I too am watching the Seido Waterproof case. The website shows video of the S3, but the case under development is definitely for the Note3.
Seido Water Proof case for NOTE 3 under development
I bought and returned the Trident Kraken AMS series Mil Spec case for the Note3. "independently tested" their website states. More like NEVER TESTED for NOTE3.
Trident changed the design from the other AMS cases that might be "rainproof". They don't cover up the speaker, the reset port, or the microphone. How the hell is that rainproof?

We need alternatives. I personally think the leather effect sounds a bit tacky, especially the stitching (is the stitching real, or is that imprinted as with the leather effect)
I don't want a case (my Galaxy Nexus is looking a bit scratched, but not noticeably so), I just want a plain back like the Galaxy Nexus (or even better, the Nexus 10)
A couple of cases have started to appear on Amazon. This one comes in many colors:

This one in the phone's black or white:

I've gotten Diztronic cases for my last few phones and I'm waiting to see their N3 variant.
I ended up getting the below. was about 20USD including shipping to me
I also got the below but I got the 3x value pack for 15-20USD including shipping to me. keeping in mind I live in New Zealand so shipping is always the dearest for me compared to rest of world
I'll be happy when these 2 arrive, and hopefully before my note 3, last time I recieved my note 2 before my screen protector, I ended up having that overally large plastic crap with the flap at the end (that it comes on with) for a week lol...
I've always been a fan of spigen, their screen protectors are perfect, it fits around everything with no gaps, unlike some protectors where they get to the home button then just drop vertically down, which means below the home button is open to elements... same with near the front camera etc, above it is open to elements... on other screen protectors I've noticed.

I have ordered the spigen ultra crystal and hybrid case too. But I'm not going to keep my hopes up since the stated shipping date is going to be late September and arriving date is mid October. I think I might get the phone before them come. That's why I bought a cheap tpu from eBay also hopefully to cover it before the two arrives from spigen.

Anyone have past experience with Bounce models?
I love the ultra-Crystal and Ultra-oleophobic from Spigen. Have used on all my phones since Captivate.

I also ordered the Bounce case (it shipped today) and the crystal screen protectors. The Bounce case looked to be the best combination of value, looks, light weight, and protection. I'll report back on their performance once I've got everything (The screen protectors are the only item I've gotten so far)

the bounce looks like a very light weight skin....no additional protection except the fact that it will help avoid getting your phone dinged!

Bah, they dropped the prices on the neo hybrid by $10. I'd have considered it at that price Oh well, the Bounce looks great. I'll know in a few days for sure
Spigen is really all over the road on their pricing. First the $1 promo on select items, then they jumped to $29.99, then $34.99, now down to $24.99 its fine to lower the price but they better fix the ones they charged and haven't shipped and perhaps fix those that just shipped as well. It would be good for customer relations.

Finally on their FB page they are saying if you want one to let them know. They are gauging interest, that what I read in the thread/poll about that case. Since they cannot commit to one I am looking at this instead http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CSF2SSGT3K-DG Sedio Ledger with metal kickstand. Has magnetic closure and big S-View window. The price is right, I just wish they offered some better color options, but I might get the red/grey combo for some flash.

This looks phenomenal. Just wish it was a bit cheaper. For those who have used flip covers in the past how do you feel about them compared to regular cases? I just ordered the neo hybrid as my first note 3 case and currently have a Seidio active on my note 2 which I like(although it's a bit bulky). But I'm thinking about trying the above Seidio Ledger case when it is released. My biggest concern is it becoming a nuisance with the extra flap hanging around, especially when taking pictures or attempting to use with one hand. Thoughts? Experiences?
I had the Slim Armor View on the GS4 and I didn't find it intrusive at all, I simply flipped the cover back and used the phone as if it wasn't there. The Ledge from Seidio looks to be the same. Obviously when using the camera you won't want the cover folded back even if it does line up, the extra plastic in between the image and the lens will likely cause for crappy images.
Still its a small price to pay for full protection and a view window.

Received the Bounce from Spigen the other day and without phone inside it fits my Seidio Active holster from the Note 2 very well. The top half of the holster that the screen faces doesn't appear to be wide enough to protect it edge to edge, but sold my Note 2 on 8/31 so I cannot compare.
Yes, I am one of those that uses a holster. At work only though.

Looks pretty good for $16... I ordered one to give it a shot. Hopefully the picture of the Galaxy S IV is accurate for the note 3 as it looks like the little rubber pads could be cut down to allow my slightly bigger wireless charging back cover to fit, if not oh well thats easy enough to change out.
Even the $30 knock-off lifeproofs for iphones suffered high leakage rates. There is one issue with the sealing band, and your $700 device is SOL. I wouldnt trust it at all.
I am curious to see your results. I really want a solid Water proof case if possible. Wish you luck and hope it works!
If this actually works well then that would be cool but I personally wouldn't want to be the one to test it out lol. I just refrain from taking my device anywhere near water. If it does manage to keep your device from getting wet then that is a $15 well spent.

I could not agree more. A waterproof case is nice to have, but how often are you swimming with your phone? The most moisture it will get is sweat or rain. I am in the Army, in Hawaii. We are outside all day doing stupid stuff in the rain. Rains all the time. A prepared ziplock is just as good
There is a good reason we don't take our phones swimming. They are not waterproof.
if they were. WE WOULD take them swimming. Baggies are great for protecting your phone from moisture while its in your pocket or your back pack. it sucks for shooting video through

What I'm really interested in about this case is the headphone jack.
For me it doesn't need to be completely waterproof as listen to music while I Mtn Bike or trail run with it in a jersey pocket...
I have always used a Dry Case with my other phones
http://www.drycase.com/
This works great to keep condensation out of it as you can suck the air out, however the Note 3 is just a little bit too big for it.
So, while it may not be something you are interested in, this is almost exactly what I'm looking for, 100% guaranteed waterproof would be nice, but not necessary for me.

I wish they made a waterproof for N3, honestly. The best part about work when I had a failphone 5 with a LP case was turning screen up, open notes write "HELP ME IM DROWNING!" and stick phone in a full pitcher of water only to have everyone freakout whenever they saw it.
I dont care if its big, Its fun to traumatize people that way.

Yeah close to the dry case, however no headphone port or one way air valve to prevent condensation... I have had lots of condensation form in ziplocks despite my best efforts to remove all the air.
A good solution for many no doubt.

Got a badly translated message from the seller about a warehouse issue, they refunded my order and took down the listing. I asked if they had any timeline for restock, or knew of any other sellers, or more information about the item and they didn't, so I'm suspecting that because the picture showed Galaxy S4 that they maybe have not produced a Note 3 variant yet.
I got my case. I am impressed. Waterproof? yeah not me buddy I won't be testing that with my baby inside.
water resistant? a very optimistic yes. I am really impressed with it so far. impressed enough that I will be doing a long term review and actually use the case for a while and see how it goes.

I hope everything worked out well for you and your Note 3...lol you've either got 1.) TONS of faith in this untested case, 2.) A large "pair" of ***** or 3.) More money than you know what to do with! lol if it's the 3rd, you can send some my way!
Oh. trust me. this case will NEVER intentionally see water with my baby inside it. no way. waterproof? not a chance. water resistant? probably.
I will test the water resistance with the dummy phone.
My balls are no where near big enough to trust my phone to it in any serious water. no freaking way
I don't need to waterproof my phone, just something I can use to play Ingress when it's raining (I'm in Vancouver, so it rains quite a bit here). I may just get one of the bag type setups (or use a zip lock bag)
yep. bag it and use a bluetooth controller is your best solution for that.
4g still works but the signal is degraded inside the case. I assume all signals are degraded to a point.
I finally talked a co-worker into buying a real phone, he went all out and got a Note 3. He ordered a blue Otterbox Defender and I cringed because I had read more than a few negative comments about it, never mind the fact that it was going to turn an already monstrous phone into something comical in girth and usability.
Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. I was downright shocked at how svelte the case was, and it is awesome in every way that counts. It looks good, it feels good, the buttons work perfectly, and it is some nice soft protection on the corners. I was dropping it onto a table onto a corner from about six inches up and it was just a very nice 'boing' when it hit (my co-worker did not share my enthusiasm for this part of the testing). Probably the most amazing thing of all is that it really feels good to use the screen. Yes, if you scrutinize you could see a faint rainbow effect under the wrong lights (like a lot of florescents), but it felt great. The screen cover on my iphone 4 otterbox was a joke, it ruined the feeling of the phone.
I don't even run with a case (I use Gelaskins, which are even more ridiculously slippery than my Note 2 already is), but if I jump ship to a Note 3 I would buy an Otterbox Defender in a heartbeat. I was downright amazed at how good it felt and looked.

Wait, you're saying that you talked them into buying a real phone, AND then that you had/have an iPhone 4, IN THE SAME STORY!?!? Fortunately you mention having a Note 2 now! Was this co-worker the one who talked you into buying a real phone? Lol

So you expected a quality screen cover for a phone that was a joke?? Your statement confuses me

FYI if people wanted a link to it. I'm content with the S-view and I have insurance on my phone so if I break it, $50 for a new one. It's cool.

I'm on Verizon and I pay $9.99/month with a $100 deductible that covers virtually everything...malfunction/defect, damage, loss, or theft. I've been a Verizon customer for 12+ years now. Never have had any real issues with them concerning insurance claims, etc. We've had to file a few different claims over all these years and haven't really had any problems out of the whole "process" thus far. I remain satisfied and content, even if Verizon IS one of the last carriers to push out official OTA updates. Oh well, there's more to choosing a carrier than just how fast they get OTA updates to their customers. Yea, it's probably nice to get em a lot quicker like some other carriers are able to do, but I'm usually not too concerned about all that, so I'm still a happy camper either way.
just buy one
i buy the middle price ,use very nice and look like original, save money
I have this case and the design is much slimmer than the my note 2 Otterbox defender case!
It's not thick at all so Otterbox and svelte actually goes together in this case (no pun intended).....

I use an Otterbox commuter and it is surprisingly svelte compared to the amount of protection it affords. Otterbox really improved things a lot since the Note 2. The previous generation of cases were write awful.

I love my Black Otterbox Case w/clip.....I always take the screen protector off and scratch off the glue it uses to hold in place. The phone is of course bigger with this case but not as big as the Note 2 case was.
Very happy with the purchase. It has probably saved my phone a couple of times due to dropping.
This case really protects it. Even without the thick screen protector.

Really? how so? I had a white commuter on my Note 2 and I thought it was a great case all around other then I was unhappy when the soft material started to bow outwards from the case and it looked kinda stupid but I now have a Note 3 and I didn't want the bulk of the commuter case like I had with my Note 2 and so i'm trying out Spigen cases instead.

Ribs on Note 2 case or Note 3?
Edit: Oh yeah, those. Never bothered me personally. I was just wanting something slicker then the bulky commuter but these spigen cases feel so flimsy and non protective compared to the otterbox's now. I think i've spent well over $100 at Amazon trying out cases this week, thank God for free amazon prime trial for included 2 day shipping.
Got this case off of EBay delivered for $32. It's called a PEPKOO ULTIMATE. I think Love Me and possibly another company makes some almost identical. They are aluminum with Gorilla glass screen protector, screws together instead of snaps like an Otterbox and doesn't get all the dirt and trash around the sides of the screen. I've been using mine for a month now and thought I would share my review of it. It's tough, cool looking and I have no complaints. Don't forget it was $32.
uhm, good!
From the reviews I have seen, the S-Pen is Damn near impossible to take out, and the sound is horribly muffled.

You could have gotten it cheaper too on Ebay. It's the same case as the Love MEI series. Those are $23 on ebay.
Also your cell reception just took a dive by half because of the aluminum. I only use mine when I go snowboarding. The extra weight adds to my balance, lol.
I saw after I ordered it about the s-pen complaints and I don't have any trouble. I'm always somewhere the signal is great so that hadn't been an issue. I would have loved the even cheaper priced one but compared to an otterbox, This case is king. I've had an otterbox for every phone I've had in the last 6 years, starting with a blackberry and had to constantly take it apart and clean dirt and dust out of it. I never have to do that with this one. I stand firm and recommend this case or an identical copy over otterbox any day. If I paid $ 40 I would still be satisfied.

Yeah I definitely recommend it to anyone who can put up with those things. I like the comments I get when I whip it out(no pun intended). People always ask in amazement if it's a phone and what phone it is. Then again I have the original model so it's even bigger than the new slimmer ones which I might get soon.

I just have a question, where exactly did you see this for so cheap? The only link I can find on Amazon is for $69:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00HFMUVG4/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
I got it off of eBay. I work in the oilfields of West Texas and we have some rough weather, especially dust storms. With the otterbox I was having to take it apart every couple of days to clean the dirt and dust that would make its way inside it. Then the abrasive dust rubbing against the plastic screen protector would have it scratched up in a mater of a month or so. I haven't had to take this case apart yet to clean it and that dust isn't going to hurt the Gorilla glass. I put a couple screen shots of the add on eBay so you could see the seller and the product.
It's awesome

Nice yeah like It .
I'm sure it's a great case if your going to throw it down a mountain, but in my opinion it's way too bulky.
Bulk
If bulk is an issue, then I would suggest an Iphone, I think they still small enough to fit in a matchbox. But all jokes aside, it still easily fits in my back pocket and as I stated before, I need my phone protected from the elements. I never said this case would suit everyone but if you wanted a case that was built for hard core protection, I recommend this one. I have now had it for two months and I hope I can always get one to fit future phones.
How heavy is this? Do you have issues with sound? Have you waterproof tesed the case and how did it do?
Same here,
If a case makes my devices useless, well then it's useless. I can see the draw to a waterproof solution as I hit the lake often during the summer months and don't do much out there other than check things on the screen from time to time. But for that there are cheaper solutions, none of which I trust completely anyhow.
Lets hope that they up the IP rating on the note 4.

LoL this in is not the waterproof version. Its the water resistant version. Love Mei adds some water proofing in there. There is a difference this one, Lunatak's and Love Mei's. I think they all have the same base manufacture. My Dad has the Lunatak's case for the iphone, his signal doesnt take a hit, also it makes the phone feel like a brick. AND I really mean a brick.
You guys want real waterproof head over to the red pepper note 3 thread.

I had purchased a similar metal case for my Note 3 from Love Mei. It looks cool but I dont like it.
1. I made my phone to look big, almost the size of Tab 7.0.
2. Its non ergonomic for long time use, you'll not be comfortable holding it while text messaging.
3. Not to forget that it adds weight extreme weight to your phone. Trust me, you can't answer calls for more than 20 minutes due to its weight.
4. Since its a water proof version, the sound ports and receiver speakers are covered with thin membrane of some material (sort of rubber or plastic). Thats make the sound to be scatered and unclear
5. The glass protector will have the rainbow effect on screen when it touches the phone screen.
These points are based from my experience. I sold my case to another guy.
Currently Im with Trident Kraken AMS, and I love it to the max. It saved my phone without single scratches falling from the height arnd 6 feet.
