com.google.process.location has stopped - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Been having this issue running both the latest 3.17.502.3 and the previous 3.10 leak, stock rooted. When using navigation and sometimes other location dependent apps I get an "unfortunately com.google.process.location has stopped" message. Navigation and location services seem to continue to work, the only difference I notice after the crash is the weather location on my lock screen doesn't update, it changes to "my location". I've tried to isolate by removing any apps that use location other than maps, but problem persists. Pasted log from event below, any ideas?

Is there any solution for this problem?

stock or custom rom?

FC com.google.process.gapps

Hello.
I'm using stock rom, rooted and installed CWM, the phone works fine for a few days, then it freezes for a while and shows "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I can 100% reproduce this by opening stock browser and browse for about 30 seconds, then it freezes for 10 more seconds, then shows FC.
Several times the phone rebooted itself, but not exactly all the way, there was no ATT and Samsung logos, everything went black for a minute, then everything started loading like it just booted.
Anyone else having this or similar issues?
I get this also. Only had one reboot. I'm stock. Maybe that's my problem!
I was using Chrome when this one happened.

I was having the same problem on a stock, unrooted phone. I was able to determine that disabling the "Internet" item in the sync settings for my google accounts made the problem go away. Re-enabling it almost immediately causes the FC problem to return. That item seems to be toggling the syncing of bookmarks from my desktop Chrome browser with the phone browser, which I can do without.

Running stock all the way for now. Same issue. I installed Chrome, disabled sync for internet in my Google account as mentioned above, and enabled sync in the Chrome settings. Better browser, better experience, and no more FCs.
Same here - stock but rooted. Fortunately disabling internet sync fixed the FC issues.

I forget where I found the solution but here's what I did to fix the same problem.
1) Go to Settings > Accounts and sync
2) Remove your Google account
3) Go to Settings > Application Manager
4) Go to "All" tab
5) Find Google Services Framework and open it
6) Select Clear data (for Google Services Framework)
7) Go back to Accounts and sync and add you Google account
That solved it for me.

Hmmmm assuming you have internet synced, try open built-in web browser, will it give you FC?

Issue with Settings Widget and Voicemail - Rooted

I am running [3.46]Stock w Goodies|Sense 5 parts|Sinister edition.
1. I occasionally get the XYZ (usually Music or Settings) widget has stopped. It doesn't seem to have any performance impact, just a minor annoyance. Any one been able to remedy the issue?
I ran fix permissions from recovery to no avail. It seems to only be the settings widget and music widget and when I am exiting another app (Textra, Chrome, and a few others. Chrome mostly).
2. The voice mail app keeps telling me it needs to be updated but when I go to update it, it fails. Again, the app is working fine but it keeps prompting me to update the app. Can I go manually download the updated voicemail app or stop the prompt to update?
3. I am prompted after a phone restart for a system update. I go into the "Updater" app and clear the cache to remove the notification. Is there a way to permanently disable the system update notification?
Thanks in advance.
Update...
On a whim, I tried to update the Voicemail app again and it updated so now I just have the issue with the settings - widget displaying.

[Q] Chrome crashes when I tap search box ONLY with Google search provider

This is strange: Recently my Chrome app will crash 100% of the time I tap the search box to enter a query. The app itself will launch, I can change settings and make new tabs, but as soon as I try to type anything into search or URL bar the app instantly crashes.
The really weird part is, it ONLY does it if I use Google for the search provider. If I change to Bing, Yahoo, Ask, etc then no crashing!
Corrupt setting somewhere? I am running CM10.1 on an HTC Rezound and the problem has only been happening for a week or two. I reverted from Chrome 37 back to 36 and it still exhibits the same behavior. I wiped Chrome settings with Titanium with no luck. Is there a different underlying app in the system that handles taps to the search box that I can wipe settings and see if it helps?
Thanks!

Latest Google Maps requires Location Services ON

Anyone else experiencing this? As usual, when I open Maps I get a popup message saying that "To continue let your device turn on location using Google's location service...". In the past I would hit Cancel and I'm good to go. But now the message continues to popup continuously. I can't use Google Maps unless I turn on Location Services.
Uninstalling the update has been my solution so far. Ideas?
Not just me after all, Google Play store reviews for the latest version report the same.

Google play services and Phone Settings applications

Hello,
is it possible that Google Play Services crash the Phone Setting application.
After I flash open_gapps-arm64-6.0 -pico-20170521 to my Android phone (Android 6.0.1), I was not able to running Phone Settings. I managed to run Google Store. But Google Play Services stop working and resume working.
I touch Setting, it crashes with error message saying "Unfortunately Settings stop working."
Because Setting is not working, I am not able to clean cache of Google Play Services as most of what the trouble shooting suggests.
Did anyone experience the same thing as I did? Is there a fix?
thanks
Tao
