Hi all
after an Update wit the All IN One Tool my Tablet stucks on the Sony logo.
i tried many different roms in recovery mode but none worked for me?
adb is working but not adb shell

Guessing you use Flasher and not AiO. Anyway the first partition is not doing to well..... You could try to flash twice in a row then pull recovery.log again. This will force the tablet to try and install on the second partition. Your other option would be to flash a rootable HC i.e. 3.2.1R2 as HC did not use vendor files. From there you could root and use flasher again. Either way let us know what happens.

i did it two times
so i think i have to find the Honeycomp Flash Rom to make it work

i tried all versions chinese, usa and also austrian, switzerland and poland nothing worked
evry time 2 times i tried.
i will bring it back to the shop because i have no time to test any thinks here

Youve got to show us recovery log after 1st flash attempt.
There should be info about the source of your problem - higher incremental,
or other sku region fw.
1) only one flash attempt,
2) pull recovery log.

Very off topic but condi, it is good to see you, I have two questions, first, how did you manage to sklunvring the hack_recovery? And how many times did you get in the apx mode?

Needs to be HC tho as it does not care abour the vendor folder

Im still here still got my grandma STS.
1] hack_recovery is regular small stock update - genuine one. - just took it from s.ony servers when it was available
its unmodified, used s.ony power by itself
2] how many apx? MANY times, especially when making some tests with rooting etc. - with a lot of reboots. after some (few/several) reboots it stayed on blank black screen - recognized as nvflash device in device manager

Guys sorry to ask here, I am stucks on the Sony logo and I can't get to the android Recovery!
Can i Use ADB to push the recovery or try to recovery my tablet???

Thought it best to ask here rather than start yet another thread.
My problem is that after using AIO successfully, I used the Flasher and obviously messed up. Now I find that adb can't find my device and trying to update from sd card isn't working. I have even tried a factory reset and still no joy. Any ideas, before I give Sony more money?

Ok so you might be stuck. That failed due to the incremental being bigger on the tablet than the update. Can you try the 0042.004 twice in a row. Hopefully your tablet is one that will switch partitions due to the first failing. (mine did that).

I installed the root and upgraded to ICS according the tutorial, all was a success, but when i restarted the device only show the logo of sony and the screen stays in black, i tried to reflash the hack_recovery and fail (Error in tmp/desklunvr/desklunvr.zip), and i tried to flash the version 3.2.1 r2 but it's fail again, the file recovery.log shows:

if still no correct boot, then flash this one:

and do wipe just after flash! very important,
its described in AiO thread, FAQ section, downgrade info.
then you can root again, and flash ICS prerooted again.

I have rooted US ICS firmware (fully functional) and I have changed the build.prop with a previous HoneyComb version and done a full wipe via recovery; now I have bootloop when the tablet start (I can only see boot animation).
Because I live in Italy and I have the Italy version of sony tablet s I have tried to update from recovery with latest Italy ICS firmware version (signed-nbx03_009-ota-120410021.zip - I have Wifi only tablet version) but without success: I receive this message

Last US finware has been installed one week ago, ICS 4.0.3 r5, rooted.
I can load recovery mode and that is all what I have

Tried wipe... and all others what found through forum but.... the same bad result
Have you some idea what I can do more to turn back in working condition my tablet? or I have only one way- drop it in Service?!

ugh, seems to be the same issue im having when i try to a .zip from recovery...
and im guessing we wont be getting any new OTAs are we?

Nope. The only other way is the legendary installer files. These may be out only hope. I am working on getting one but still waiting on that one.

My tablet 's original region is Mexico and I had 4.03 R1a version without root.
Later i rooted my tablet with "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v16" and everything ok
I changed the region to US and a i got the release 5.
This 12th december when the update R5A was ready for all regions, i tried to update my tablet and i couldn't, my tablet said something like "error code 5"
So I used the "S.onyTablet.S v1.1" by condi. and the operation was good , just one little detail didn't like me but it was not important and it is that my tablet still in 4.03 R5.
I tried one more time and the same result.
So i tried one more time (Here began my hell) .. and i saw one error in unzip process , something like crc error in system.zip file
First my tablet was in a Bootloop
Second i wipe and restore the tablet (another error) and now just stucks in sony logo
The Status:
No ADB is enable and my computer says in device manager "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

My tablet says:

Try to install the zip's again and then use adb pull /tmp/recovery.log and post it here.
Chances are that the incremental is too high to flash the updates.
Your tab boots? and has root??
Then you can edit /vendor/vendor.prop and change the incremental (say delete the last digit)
Then try to flash from recovery again. If it is not working the post the new recovery.log
This will tell us which region it is looking for etc and point you to the right file.

Wow that is very unusual. That way is not going to work.....
Have you tried to disable usb debugging then enable?
You tried to remove driver and then reinstall. This is very weird.
I would normally suggest a factory reset BUT THIS WILL LOSE YOUR ROOT and you will not be able to get back without USB.
Seems the only way to fix would be getting USB to work and then using condi's Flasher.
Something is seriously messed up somewhere.
Atleast you have ROOT and can modify stuff.
How are you with code?? You could take the parts you need from flasher and put them in a script that can be run off the tablet??

How are you with code?? You could take the parts you need from flasher and put them in a script that can be run off the tablet??

i'm no good programming, just know the basic or less,
I think the same, i need to get enable usb, and try to flash with condi's Flasher, But the ADB just works in recovery mode, i'm lost.
But, is there any way to activate USB from ADB?
I tried to get vendor file by adb pull /vendor/vendor.prop
-'remote objetc '/vendor/vendor.prop' does no exist .... i did this from ADB in recovery
The tablet Stucks in sony logo and the computer after seconds say "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

Tried to reinstall driver?? It is different from recovery driver.....

I also faced the "failed to verify whole-file signature", because I installed the custom-install without -hack-recovery.

Hello
I was messing arawnd with system apps on my tablet and now i am now stuck on boot animation, i was trying to add a launcher, settings etc. from cyanogen mod (dont ask me why...)
I tried factory reset but it didnt work
I am on ICS r5a and when i try to reflash the rom i get:

Finding update package...
Desklunvr update package...
E:cant desklunvr /sdcard/custom_update_singed.zip
Instalation aborted.

When you rooted did you rescue backdoor if so then try an offical update from stifliz sticky post or his sig
There is a distinct possibility that you might have boned the tablet but that being said try using the flasher and flash twice and pull a recovery log
rooted lighting wildfire on unoffical j.b from benni
and sony XTS rooted stock j.b thanks djrbliss

Ok i did it but when i flashed it the frst time it worked but on second rime i got this error
Erohibit update as a result of checking version or base sku
I factory reset it but still same error

Ok i somehow managed it to boot :victory: but im not shure how...

Ok its booting if your going to root again do the backdoor again this is what saved you this time
For the recovery always use the offical sony zips that's all the advice I can give you really
This tab does not like to be messed with and being locked out of the recovery means that we cant flash anything we like unlike most android devices where the manufacturer has give some leway

Sony Tablet S soft bricked

Hi.
I had a Sony Tablet S (US model WiFi only) since 2012, and as many have, I too have struggled to keep it up-to-date. Recently I used the allinone tool to root and get some cool features onto it.
Yesterday I got more adventurous and mistakenly put the firmware for JB (Xperia) onto my tablet S using the flasher v3.0 tool, sending my tablet into a Soft Brick state.
I tried putting numerous signed zip files onto my SD card and updating through the recovery mode - all failed.
My computer can only "see" my tablet when it is booted in recovery mode.
So now, everytime I boot my device, it gets stuck on the SONY logo and I am not sure what to do with it.
