I have an s4 that won't accept its password after encryption. It's got ME7 and it isn't rooted. I can reboot into recovery. I'm totally lost. Anyone know how to fix it?

I've got a strange problem on my Nexus 6P.
I've changed my password on the 6P (running Cyanogenmod), and ever since then, I can't enter my TWRP recovery, because it can't decrypt anymore. I've tried both the old and the new password in TWRP, but it can't decrypt it. The new password works without any problems to decrypt the phone when booting it normally into the OS, just not for TWRP.
TL;DR: Changed password in Cyanogenmod on encrypted phone, now can't enter TWRP recovery anymore, but can still enter the phone OS.
Any ideas? Perhaps I could somehow reflash TWRP without losing data? Or will this mess up the encryption even more, so that I possibly also couldn't enter the OS anymore?

I see that bug too so I've reverted back to a working 2.x.x.x version. Flashing recovery has no effect on your data.

So how do I do this exactly? I can't enter the recovery at all. Do I have to do something in ADB? And you're saying, just installing an older TWRP version will fix this, without having to do anything else?
Has anyone had any luck with encrypting there device with root? or before root?
i tried encrypting then going to recovery and my recovery couldn't get the password to go thru....someone have any insight?
I am currently unable to decrypt my internal storage for access in recovery after installing Android 6.0.1. I updated to UL-ASUS_T00N-WW-13.6.5.35-user.zip from rooted Lollipop. Previously, I had no issues with encrypted Lollipop and twrp_2.8.7.8_v5.img recovery.
TWRP 2.8.7.8 and 3.0.0 both give me the prompt to enter my decryption PIN, but fail with the correct PIN. CWM doesn't give a prompt.
Presumably, the only solution I'm aware of is to do a factory reset from within the OS to turn off decryption. Is there a custom recovery that will work with encryption on this build?
Hello, i'm new here.
I wanna know if there is some way to root my Galaxy J6 with magisk.
Last time i've tried i bricked my phone, but fix it.
So i flashed twrp recovery and flashed something like RMM State Lock to keep it on the custom recovery, then i couldn't reset the phone. I had an error saying "Cannot mount /data?".
So after a while, i saw something to do like "Format Data", so, if i reinstall twrp, then do format data, am i still able to
boot Android without that reset error? And do magisk?

Same problem for me, Did you find a solution?
I can't root my galaxy J6
Help please.
Hello,
It is possible that TWRP can't load the /data partition due to DM-verity still enabled. You need to flash the zip file linked below to fix it.
Please download the Oreo (also works on Pie) DM-verity forced encryption disabler on here : https://qc3.androidfilehost.com/dl/...65586/J6+_oreo_forced_encryption_disabler.zip and restart your phone.
After flashing the latest unofficial LOS, my phone now asks for me to decrypt it upon boot and in TWRP recovery
My PIN is not working and "default_password" isn't working either, what are my options?
I can't access anything at all
EDIT: I managed to downgrade (to no avail) and then upgrade again using the ADB Sideload feature, the password is gone but it seems so is my data... any chance it's gonna come back?
EDIT2: I just did a factory reset :/ its fixed now
