Hi There,
I have been running two gmail accounts on my HD2 for around 4 months now, and for some reason one of them isn't working. I have the passwords saved for each, and I need to retrieve the password from one but whenever I go to the settings the saved password is all in asterisks.
Obviously this is for security, and i'm assuming there is no way to reveal the password on the phone (or is there?). I was wondering if it is smart enough to recognise that it is connected to my homebase computer, and if that will allow me to access the saved passwords?
I've been looking for things like keychains etc, but I can't find anything.
Your help is very much appreciated,
Thelonius_
just rest the password through the emai account if it is youre account !!
Hi again,
Demon Man, while i'm greatful for your help, it doesn't answer my question. I should have mentioned that I am trying to avoid resetting my password. I think the issue is with my phone, not with my email account.
Is it at all possible to reveal the password or find the password stored in my phone through my PC?

No. If you know the password, you can just retype it in and resave it. If you are fishing for a way to break into someone else's email through their phone, you won't get any help here.
I guys, it's possible find all the password for all the account (htc, google, mail etc...) stored in my phone???
i'am not rooted.....

Everything related to Google are the same as the ones on your computer. It's hard to believe that you can't retrieve your gmail password...

my request is not related to google, but to all other password existing in my phone (es. dropbox, facebook, evernote etc. etc. etc.).
simply a most convenient way to find all the password in one shot
Again, all those apps have the same password then the ones on your computer.
I'm just going to close this one before it gets out of hand.

My friend has this phone (I believe), and she lost all her contacts after a factory reset, due to the fact that the LG system by default adds contacts to the phone instead of her Google account. I know it's possible to choose where the contact is stored when you create a new contact, but it's terrible software design to force the user to remember that every time. Is there a way to make the Google account the default (or only) contact storage?
Or is the only solution to install a custom ROM? Thanks

I dont think you can BUT what you can do is make it as "google account" for each contact. So whenever she factory resets she can sync her account. :highfive:

Thanks. There's no address book or contacts app that will add all new contacts this way?

Laziness is accepting an annoyance instead of trying to solve it permanently.

You cant solve it permanently from what i know, thats why they added the option to move contacts to sim, phone, google account etc..

Oh, is there an option to move all at once? That would be helpful. I don't know this phone very well.
Hello I have a question that's been bugging me for some time.
The backup/restore function in android says that the data is saved to your Google account.
I know where the contacts are stored they can be found from accounts.
What I want to know is how to access everything else?
It says app data and wifi passwords etc etc. If I wanted to delete all of this data and start again is the point I'm trying to achieve
Thanks in advance,
Best regards
Someone must know

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, which had multiple google accounts added to it. Idiot that I might be, I reset the device, and now I cannot remember some of those email addresses. I know their passwords, they even have my email as recovery email, I just don't know what they were.
The device has been backed up to cloud.
Is there any possible way to recover just the emails of the accounts which were there?
Thanks.

As far a I'm aware, No. Unless you had a TWRP backup done recently or at some point with those email addresses logged in, There's no way. Your best shot is to either remember them or ask a friend if they know them or search your "sent" history if you ever sent yourself emails from another. Sorry.
Yeah, I remembered them in this case, but I wonder, is it possible to somehow manually download android backups from google servers to look at them...
