When i try to get into recovery menu by pressing repeatably the center menu button, phone freezes.Any solution guys.
you enter xrecovery by pressing the back button (the one on the right) not the menu button
Actually the left menu and volume buttons will let you get into xrecovery as well. Lately I've noticed that if you press any of these buttons repeatedly, it takes longer to enter xrecovery. Try only pressing the button 2 or 3 times.
My 5.0 player is in Android system recovery mode and I am just trying to wipe data /factory reset. I can scroll down using the vol keys but I can not select the option. When I try to select the option by pressing the power button nothing happens. I know this seems really lame but it is driving me crazy. Please help.
Does the CWM menu just disappear? If so, I've had that problem a few times. Just reboot (forcibly) and try again.
Sent from my YP-G70
When I press the power button nothing happens. If I hold it down it shuts down. When restarted it goes right back to system recovery menu.

stock recovery uses the home button not the power button for select.
Update: also newer versions of CWM (vers 5.x.x) can use both power button and home button.
Last nigt i rebooted my phone to recovery to reflash ROM,did it and now it only boots in recovery even if im not pressing menu key...I could boot to download but without pressing menu key so i flashed stock firmware but still it only boots in recovery. When im in recovery i can move UP,DOWN using volume keys but menu key does not work, when i press it nothing happens...i think that that menu key is somehow stuck but it works normally when i press it i can hear "click" that makes but does nothing.
Got CWM 5.0.2.8 and run key test all keys work(volume up,down, menu key, back key) except main menu key got nothing on output when pressed main menu key
bump
I have got my Note II rooted and flashed the Android Revolution HD Rom.
Everything was fine and it worked smoothly.
But after installation of many apps, a problem turned out yesterday:
The menu button function has been mapped to the home button, which means when I pressed the home button, it will detected as menu button instead.
After that, I use the KEY TEST in the CWM Recovery to test the key setting.
I found that the home button is wrongly detected as the menu key. (It returns the same Code 139 when I pressed the two buttons)
the result shown as attached
How can I fixed this problem by reset the hard key map setting?
Please Help
Thanks so much!
My little bro drawn the unlock pattern one too many and now its locked with too many pattern attempts.
Unfortunately my mobile data was in OFF mode. So, couldn't connect using google account.
Tried to Factory Reset, with possible Select keys for Wipe Data/FactoryReset ::
1. Left and right touch keys simultaneously for some seconds (as listed in micromax website)
2. Left and Middle touch keys simultaneously for some seconds (seen in some threads)
3. Long press volume + key ( seen in some threads)
4. Or any other possible touch and keys combo...
doesn't work at all for my device.
SOS:: Any idea how to select the WipeData option in Recovery mode?
.
Downloaded Stocked ROM 4.2.1 and other needed drivers to Flash my device, listed in some threads in this site.
But device is not detected in SPFlash tool. How to make it detected?
Please Help *** Unfortunately there is no Micromax service center in my state ***

bro! u r doing it wrong here's the procedure....
Switch Off your phone.
Press and hold Power button together with ‘volume +’ and ‘volume –’ buttons on the side of phone until you get two options.
Now, press the ‘volume +’ button to enter into the recovery mode.
This will make a Android icon appears on screen, press power button.
This will get you the menu options, use the volume up and down button to choose the option.
To select the option, you needs to simultaneously press two touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of your device, left button which is for the Menu and right button which is for going into previous stage. You have to do this for about 3 seconds.
Choose the wipe data/factory reset then press the enter button (left button which is for the Menu and right button which is for going into previous stage). Now, phone will get switch off and brings to its initial stage.
press thanks if i helped u!
