amFilm Premium HD Clear Screen Protector - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I was sent a set of amFilm Premium HD Clear Screen protectors to see how well the work. My last phone was basically used Naked. When I first got it, I put a Zagg on it and had it on for a couple months and got tired of the rubbery feel it had. I remember the day I removed it and it was like Wow, what a nice screen.
I went the rest of the time without a protector and only ended up with one scratch that was hard to find if you didn't know it was there (I knew where it was).
So, new $700 phone... do protect or not. I had already decided to get a case. A co-worker had already dropped his and dinged up the corner before he got a case. I had the case before the phone.
I was thinking of the Glass types like from Spigen, but $30+ is a lot for a screen protector even it it is as good as it is being reported.
The offer to try this brand and style without know who they were before hand was cool.... I unfortunatly got the protector before the phone showed up. It was quickly delivered in a day or two on a Thursday and my phone didn't arrive until the following Tuesday... and its been a really bad week.
On top of that I have a lot of pets... so finding a "clean" area to do this was not easy to find. I ended up doing it at work on my desk. No pets there.
I cleaned the desk really good first, and then the phone before taking anything out.
I used the "Hinge" method. This basically has you line up the protector on the phone and then using special tape they provide, taping down one side to the phone. Then you can lift up the protector, do a final cleaning, remove the first layer and lay it down and it will line right up. Then you use the card it comes with to squeeze out any bubbles that might exist and when done, remove the upper layer and finish making sure it is smooth.
The package said it had 3 protectors in it, I at first thought there was only one, but when I opened up the package there was in fact 3, a cloth, card, and a "hinge" tape of 4 labels.
Installation went very smoothly, and only took a minute or two. Took perhaps more time lining up the protector and taping it down than to do the whole rest of the process. The protector is very close to the edge all the way around the phone.
The final install was pretty good looking. I did end up with a speck near the bottom but other than that it worked out very nice.
How does it feel?
Does feel like glass... not quite, but really not bad at all. The screen is very slick like before and feels pretty much like the screen did before. I have not used the stylus yet much but it works fine and so far seems to not impede the use of the device at all.
Cost, I didn't buy these so I had to look them up. On Amazon they are listed for $4.95 w/Prime Shipping http://www.amazon.com/amFilm-Protector-Compatible-Lifetime-Warranty/dp/B00FRIK0TQ. I think for $5 that is a pretty good deal. There are still 2 additional protectors in the package left.
Certainly less than $30+ and a lot better than just leaving the screen unprotected.
Will update in a day or two on how it works out.
Note: I was not paid to review this product but was sent a free sample of it to do so. I have no previous or current association with them in anyway.

Not using the stylus yet much, but so far I don't have a problem. I will be able to compare this to another with one of the Glass protectors this weekend and will get a much better idea of how it compares. I will also start playing with the Stylus more as I will have time to go through and pickup what it can do.
$30 Glass vs $5 non-Glass might be a hard compare. However, right now, I am happy having something on the phone and it seems okay.

Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the screen

Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or is it just a screen protector?
It covers pretty much the entire rear and the screen. There is no cover for the 'frame' of the front.
IMHO It's very tough, quite tricky to put on the back (of an XDA Mini S with textured surface) and would have been better if it covered the exposed front parts (but I guess the various button and LEDs get in the way).
Re: Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the sc
The Invisible shield comes in two styles. One is for the whole phone the other just for the screen. I have a Cingular 8125 with the whole phone style. The kit comes in precut pieces which you apply to various areas of the phone. So it offers a fair amount of protection but does leave some gaps. The screen cover is the best I have ever used.

I had also seen these on Ebay and was wondering if anyone had used it.
The "infomercial" has sold me on it, but I really wanted to get some opinions from others who bought it and used it before I took the plunge.
So, even if just the screen protector does the job, it would be money well spent??

Yes, the screen protector is worth the money. I would suggest buying directly from their website. They do not charge for delivery as they do on ebay
invisible shields are THE BEST screen protectors hands-down. I have been using them for ipods, cameras, and all my phones. It's always the first accessory I buy. I'm using one on my 8125.
Easy to put on, doesnt scratch, STRONG, and wont leave a residue if you choose to remove it- which you never will do and it will never come off, either. Plus they have a lifetime guarantee. Highly recommended for any gadgets.
Best piece of gear hands down. I have the "Full Body" on my 8125 and just a screen protector on another. I bought direct since I live here in Salt Lake City, UT. As for somebody saying it never comes off once it is on us untrue. Just respray it and carefully lift an edge and it will come off.
RE: Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the s
I just tried to put mine on today, and it didn't cover the entire screen. It's like alot of screen protectors that I've used in that it leaves a 1-2 millimeter gap around the edge. I decided not to use it, and opted to use my WriteShield screen protector that I got from PocketPCTechs. I've tried their AG and C* (clear) screen protectors, and the C* screen protector is the clearest screen protector I've ever seen. And it cover the entire screen of the 8125.
Having said that, I went ahead and put the rest of the InvisibleShield protectors on the rest of my 8125 and I like it. I've got and IS on my IPOD also, and it does a pretty good job.
However, removing is does leave some residue. Like the one for the 8125 the IPOD version comes in multiple sections, and I didn't like the placement of a the pieces that go over the circular sections of the IPOD, so I decided to remove them and maybe try to re-apply them. When I pulled them off, they left a gummy, glue like residue. I did manage to clean it up with some GooBGone. I'm not sure if I'll be able to re-apply those pieces or not since they are not "clear" any more. Maybe there's a way to wash them or something to clean them up.
I may have done something wrong (and if I have, someone please tell me what it was cause I realy like the IS for my IPOD), but I couldn't find anything on their website which gave any instuctions for removing.
Does the 1-2 mm gap around the edge really make a huge difference?
RE: Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the s
It does to me. Invariably I would always slide of the edge with the pen. Plus it's kinda noticible when you look at it. It's more of a personal thing really. If you're OK with it, then I think the protector that comes with the IS would be a really good one. I just like to have to whole screen covered.
You do know you can order the IS a custom size to fit your needs.
Here's my review of the Invisible Shield, which I installed onto my 8125 earlier this week.
The quality of the material is excellent. I have no doubts this will save my entire phone from bumps and bruises. However putting the stuff on left me hating and liking it at intervals during the "ordeal". Unless one has steady hands and lots of patience it would be nearly impossible to put the pieces on without getting your finger prints on the underside of each piece. The adhesive is seriously good.
I did manage to get all the pieces on, after about 90 minutes. I did have to rinse the screen cover several times in order to clean the underside of smudges left by my fingers. I also had to lift a corner once to take out a bubble that just would not come otherwise. Even at that I was not impressed with how the screen looked immediately after applying it. But now, 4 days later I have to say that the claims of the bubbles working themselves out over time are entirely accurate. The shield is now crystal clear and undoubtedly a good protective device.
The material also has the characteristic of making the phone very grippy. I like that about it. What I don't like so much is that there are many pieces, and you can feel the edge of each one when you hold or handle the phone. This is because the material is thick, and that helps to provide the protection, but it takes some getting used to. The grip can be felt when using the stylus as well, but fortunately the digitizer on the screen is very sensitive so a light touch works well, and this minimizes the drag created by the material.
My final impression is that the kit is worth the money. It will protect the phone from all but the most careless handling, or serious accident. It is nearly invisible and makes for a better, albeit edgy, grip. I wouldn't want to apply it again, but then I shouldn't have to given its toughness. Perhaps next time I'll pay someone else to apply it for me. ;o)
Invisible Shield
FYI. I purchased mine (full cover) for my 8125 at a mall kiosk. They guy asked me if I wanted him to install it as it is tricky.
I have little patience for such things (like airplane models), so I had him install it for $5 extra.
It was WELL WORTH IT!!! The install was top-notch and I am very, very happy.
Could someone post the picture (front, back, side) of the MDA or 8125 with invisibleshield in it. I know that it might be difficult to see it clearly since the shield is almost invisible. Could someone put some arrows in the picture on where the shield is applied. I would like to see which area gets covered before buying it. TIA.
I contacted the seller and asked for the picture. But they don't have it.
Also, once you apply the invisibleshield, can you safely carry the MDA naked in a purse together with all kinds of stuff such as keys, pens, notes, etc?
I'd like to see some photos as well

Yea me too but looks like nobody has any picture worth looking

Martin Fields SP = disappointment.

Hey all.
1 month ago i bought the M.F screen protector, i heard it is one of the best screen protectors for the HD.
well 1 month, and i am very disappointed, it got scratches from nothing!
the screen looks and feels like there is sand on it, if you know what i mean. i Barely used it.
and its pretty expansive - 17$.
the funny thing is, that even with the stylus pen, when i was scrolling on the screen some times it was scratching it!
the stylus is not damaged so that it could hurt the screen.
im looking for a better SCREEN PROTECTOR.
can someone give me any suggestion?
very strange, i've used a martin fields protector since my HD arrived in February and there isn't a mark on mine
the protectore looks like a mess...all little scratches. when im using the stylus you can really feel them and hear it...
even the old screen protector i got feels and looks better than MF..
well nothing that i can do really about it, have any suggestions for another SP?
I personally have used Clarivue screen protectors on all my phones for a long time. They aren't scratch proof, but pretty resistant. They cost like 12 bux and you get a pack of 2, so they're not that expensive.
The fitment is perfect and a great way to hide scratches
ill check it out too..tnx
At least for me, Martin Fields, are the best ones. I've using for a long time in all my devices. Good quality, good service.
How can I said? Please, be in touch with Martin Fields by e-mail and I sure they will replace it.
Me too, mine looks like it's been shaped with a tin can opener around the top edge, covered in scratches after a week, looks genuine, bought of ebay uk.
Well.
some peoples say they are one of the bests, some people has the same problems, maybe we got ourselfs a fake? can that be possible?
or maybe factory defect?
even friends of mine says thos shields are the bests...thats strange,
in what kind of cases you got your Screen protectors?
mine was inside one that you have to cut to use it..it looked kinda cheap, but who knows
does sound like the people with poor experiences have bought fakes as my martin fields, as stated above, has been excellent (like the one i had on my N95 beforehand).
I bought mine from morpeth mobiles in the UK, as I never really trust ebay sellers
i bought mine from the MARTIN FIELDS main site...
here are some pics of the SP on my HD.
http://yfrog.com/5fimg0537nj
http://yfrog.com/5iimg0536lj
thats after i cleaned the screen with special cleaning material...that i use for LCD screens
look at the scratch in the middle, its huge, cause from a key.
the SP suposed to be with a protection from thos kind of scratches as i know...i barely touched with the key on the screen
nevermind removed
I also have scratches on my Martin Fields screen.
It's ridiculous because I keep my HD in a special mobile-case and then in my bag. I don't put it in pockets or with keys.
It's also delicately handled so it's ridiculous that it has a quite clear scratch mark.
Really very disappointing.
yea i told myself thats the last time im buying them...
the next is ZAGG or brando, they look great.
My MF protector also has lots of scratches on it. I bought it from their main site so it can't be fake. Am sure it says also that they have high scratch resistance when they clearly do not. They are expensive. Do you think if I complain they will send me another one? Even my protector that came in the HTC box was better and also a better flush fit. The MF one is shorter.
you right
the MF is a bit shorter..
i dont know if they will send you a new one fuz i did not try that my self...
i dont feel like waiting 1-2 weeks for another to come...i dont want another one if they look like that, high scratch resistance they are not..
Dusty Martin Fields
The original HD sheild that came with my HD was too tight a fit to get on properly. It also seemed tough and seemed to make the screen less touch responsive.
So I bought a pair of MF shields for $40 Au.(normally 1 for $30).
When I applied the shield, there must have been a lot of dust in the air, even though it was a very rainy night. (I should vacuum more often.)
I kept getting specs under the shield. I tried using sticky tape to remove the dust, as per instructions but the more I removed and replaced it, the worse it got. In the end I left it in place.
It is a very good shield. Clear, tough but flexible so that the touch response is not noticably affected. It is a perfect fit for the HD, with a 1/2 mm gap around the edge. The dust is visible in a certain light and looks like a lot of random scratches about 1 mm long. Sometimes it really seems scratched up, but it's not. After a couple of months of very heavy stylus use(about 50 reflashes too), the surface is pristine.
One day I will replace it with the second shield and try not to get any dust under it.
Had my CP Armor one from ebay nearly 4 months now, No a single mark on it. Seeing as i quite often drop my phone onto the pavement or road its going pretty well!
Are you sure you removed the second layer off the screen protector?

Antiglare Screen Protector and Stylus

So as many of you may have noticed during your uses with the nook in either bright lighting, in the car, or straight up outside (to cold for that here), the glare on the screen can get quite bad. So i was looking online for a decent antiglare for the NT or NC and i stumbled across this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MC4KF8/ref=fb_lfb_prodpg_0
A cheap, 2 pack with stylus, antiglare screen protectors. Now im not going to claim its the best one on the market, but if your looking for a cheap one, then go with this. It has been working very good on my NT, and it makes the screen feel silky smooth, not to mention severely reduces the nasty grease lines from my fingers.
Also, the stylus was actually surprisingly good. I've used numerous ones (cheap ones, for sure, but still multiple) styluses and this is easily the best one I've found. Nice and solid with a reactive tip that doesn't grip the screen or seem like it will fall off.
I can second this I actually purchased the same thing like a week ago. I love my protector its real nice and the stylus is pretty good. A little too sensitive with the app drawer (it likes to open apps when trying to turn the app pages) but other than that its perfect!
Just received this today and I must concur...a quality screen protector and stylus! I purchased my wife the Caseen case also and we've been really happy with it as well.
I purchased the official B&N anti-glare screen protector for $20 (eek!). I got it mainly because my daughter somehow manages to get food and who-knows-what-else on the screen. B&N says not to use moisture when cleaning the screen, but that's the only way to get the crud off. So, I got the B&N protector.
Anyway, despite comments online about people destroying both sheets in the process of installing them, I installed mine without any problems. First I made sure the screen was completely clean with absolutely no dust on it. Then I peeled back just an inch or so of the removable film, pushed the top edge of the sheet to where the case meets the screen, then slowly peeled back more as I pushed the sheet onto the screen, by bending the sheet as I worked my way down the screen. No air bubbles. No dust. No dirt. It's perfect and it looks like it will last forever.
I've got the glareshatter screen protector, its fantastic. That metal stylus is fantastic too. Do yourself a favor and hit up your local auto parts store and pick up a microfiber cloth, keep it on hand for cleaning. Also a little white vinegar on the microfiber does the job nicely.

Hey Guys,, i am thinking of getting the above,,, i read in the forum some of the screen protector is causing harm to the screen....
is this case with this screen protector also???
Can somebody show some light on it.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!
I bought the Import version of the Caseen Glareshatter for under $10 on ebay. Never owned the Caseen's standard protector, so I can't compare.
This is what I like:
Easy to install - it's about 2mm narrower than the screen
The feel is about perfect
Glare is definitely reduced though you still have to compensate when it's extreme
The fingerprints are there but only vivilbe from an angle with the screen off. They don't affect the visibility with the screen on.
Thing I don't like:
Makes the screen darker which is especially noticeable on the white background. I had to increase the brightness about 10% to compensate for it.
Only had for a couple of days but I am very happy so far.
Any idea where to get those in Europe? I could only find shops in the US carrying them (on ****ingly high shipping rates).
I trusted you guys and got the Glareshatter screen protectors. They really make a huge difference. Installation is really easy, just be sure to clean the screen first.
so is this glareshatter version truly the best then?
Just alittle weary on how it effects the clarity. Since some of those amazon reviews mention it.
Citizen Toxie, I was a little worried about that, too. But honestly, it's really hard to tell there's even a screen protector installed. I haven't tried any other brands, because I've really been satisfied with the import Glareshatters.
So you haven't seen it make the screen darker then? I usually keep my screen at 50%, so I'm hoping it looks the same.
If so, I will probably just grab that one.
I had my system brightness set to 30% before installing the screen protector, and I haven't changed it since.
gotcha. thanks.
guessing you grabbed the import one off ebay then?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/caseen-Nook...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item4cfc1c766b
nevermind. all good now.
I actually got mine off Amazon in a packaged deal with a stylus. They're also available on Caseen's official website I think, so see where you're able to get the best deal after shipping and everything.
Only 11 bux for 2 of the Glareshatters and a stylus on amazon. Pretty sweet deal.. ordering one now!
I asked someone who had used an antiglare screen protector if he recommended it and he said no because it significantly darkened the screen.
I went into B&N because my tablet was dead in the water, would not turn on at all and had to be swapped out. I asked to get an anti-glare screen protector there and he pulled one out and said they are normally $20, but because they came with a cloth inside that apparently damaged the screen or the screen protector confused that they were giving them away... Not sure if this is true or still available if so, but just thought I'd share. Made me happy!
Interesting. Wondering if that's worth a trip.
Decided I'm just going with the B&N one, since I don't really need the anti-glare.
Has anyone came across a good privacy screen protector, or something that cuts down the viewing angle quite a bit?

Cheap slim glass screen protector

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a screen protector that is relatively cheap, ($10 each at most, frequently recommended ones like Spigen are over 30 bucks!), made of glass and slim.
No need for it to be bulletproof or anything, I'm careful with my phones and I just want it to not scratch with regular usage, not be a fingerprint magnet and not interfere with touch or s-pen sensitivity.
Anything you guys have personally used (preferably for some time already) and can recommend?
Heres the one Im using, its from AmzDeal been using about a week dropped my phone several times over the weekend out hiking and not a scratch on it its tough ill give it that. Its 10 bucks shipped with amazon prime and i got it in 2 days. Its a knock off but been very good. When I got it it came in the AmzDeal box and packaging, but when I went to apply the protector it said Incipio which doesnt even make one like that for the N3 LoL. So its cheap, a knock off but feels great, stylus glides across it and as I said after numerous drops is showing to be very strong. It also is a full cover around the phone except around the top speaker, and prox sensor area but goes around the entire screen and comes with a home button cover to help make it stick up more. I took out my original screen protector on my ZeroLemon case and this fits great inside. Hope this helps link is below:

I haven't put a screen protector on my last couple phones because I felt like they attracted grime/oil/fingerprints too much - what's the point of keeping your screen in pristine unblemished condition if you can't see it clearly because the cover is covered in fingerprints! The glass is so tough now that they really aren't necessary unless you tend to be a little abusive to your phones.
That said, I recently put on a couple different TechArmor protectors and the matte finish one is great. It is the "anti-glare / anti-fingerprint" version. I also tried the "ultra clear" version and that one is horrible! You touch it once and suddenly it looks like that beautiful sharp screen is covered in vaseline or something. Absolute fingerprint magnet, I couldn't stand it for 5 minutes. The AG/AF one is fantastic though. I really like the matte finish and how it sort of subdues the brightness of the screen without losing crispness or clarity. And you will never see a fingerprint again. I also LOVE how the stylus feels on it. It always felt a little awkward to write with on the bare screen, but on the matte protector it really feels like using a high quality ball point pen on paper. I'm sure the matte finish will be an instant turn off for some people, but I really like it and it's functional too. The "anti-glare" properties are marginal at best, but the anti-fingerprint properties are excellent. $7 for a three pack on Amazon and a little kit for applying it cleanly with no dust specks. Be careful to choose the AG/AF option and NOT the clear option (it's kind of a hidden as a "color option" so make sure you pick the one you want before you add to cart)
Nillkin glass protector - slim, smooth and has curved sides
No need to deal with inferior PET protectors

You said it was only cut out around the speaker and proximity sensor, but the photo of the ptoduct you linked to has the wide cut out, exposing the camera as well. Is the picture accurate or is your description?
I hate the extra wide cut out, I think that contributed to cracking my original screen protector.

Ya sorry about that I've got it in a case and didn't realize it went over that far, the picture is correct it goes from your LED to your camera. I will say though I spoke with the seller and he apologized said the distributor put the wrong incipio sticker on the device packaging and is sending me a new protector just because. So I will say the seller was really good to work with.

Good working cases/screen protectors/other accessories?

Hi all,
it would be nice if we could compile a list of the accessories we're happy with.
I'll start with the official case. It's really snug and feels good in your hand, and (as opposed to the official case of the original Swift) it doesn't crack when you look at it crossly Really happy with it, endorse it without reserve. (You need to like flashy orange, though )
EDIT: this one: https://www.pdashop.be/product/759010/wileyfox-swift-2-swift-2-plus-back-cover-oranje.html
Okay so for the cases:
My device came with the official one (in grey color), and after a month or so the power button came off, it didn't seem very strong at first and I knew that was going to happen at some point. Still, not disappointed with it but I didn't feel like it was "protective enough".
So, I went ahead and bought this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/WileyFox-Olycism-Shock-Absorption-Resistant-Transparent/dp/B06XG78G9B/ which came yesterday, and it definitely feels more safe now. Official case feels too plasticky for me, and I've always been a fan of this gummy style of cases. The cutouts for buttons and I/O are perfect, and align perfectly with the device. It doesn't feel too much thick either, so it's definitely a plus. It has a bezel protecting the screen in case the phone falls to the floor, so yeah. I don't regret spending 6 bucks on it in sale.
I can provide pics of any of both, if someone needs it.
I've got a clear one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132114205792 , which seems to look very similar to the case shared by linuxct . Fits well and cut outs are good.
Need to buy some screen protectors soon..

I got one of these:
amazon.de/Abacus24-7-Handyh%C3%BClle-Kreditkarten-Schutzh%C3%BClle-Smartphone/dp/B01MTY0YJY/ref=sr_1_3?s=telephone&ie=UTF8&qid=1493056844&sr=1-3&keywords=swift+2+abacus
It fits good and the possibillity transport debit cards or paper money without a wallet is nice. Unfortunately the seam dissolves a litte bit but that can beficed with a fire lighter or a drop of superglue.

Are they snug enough? I bought one that looked like these on e-bay for my original Swift, and it wasn't really tight enough. Just tight enough in fact to remain on the phone, but it felt quite loose.
Anyone know a good fitting tempered glass screen protector for the 2X? Al the ones I found are too big (edges don't curve down) and don't stick very well.
Wileyfox themselves have just released a screen protector for the swift 2x I've just ordered one. I've tried loads bought off eBay and had refunds for all of them as the fit has been terrible.
I bought a soft screenprotector from Screenknight. Fits very well and is smooth (after I peeled the protection layer off haha). I don't like the soft feeling, but it's better than an ill fitting tempered glass one.
I'm just gonna order the one on Wileyfox's site and report back when I receive it.
- Edit -
I received the screenprotector.
Good quality and very easy to apply.
After application you see a little oily residue under the screen. I hope that will disappear after a while.
Cool thing is that the logo on the bottom is shiny, so it's more visible than the dark logo.
I too got one of the Wileyfox screen protectors for the swift 2x it has the slightly oily look underneath it too. I thought it was a fault and got a replacement but the second one is the same. It does seem the best fit out of all the ones I've tried so far. The oily look is only visible when the screen is off. I do have a screen knight but have never applied it as I didn't fancy getting the phone wet.
Another one here with the slimy look under the screen protector. Fits nicely and like already said, looks nice too.
Got one of these as a case

Awful. Looks smooth in the piccys but the back has quite sharp edges.
This was the reply from Wileyfox about the "oily" screen protector issue.
"Other than making sure your screen is clean and then reapplying the screen protector there isn't much else I can suggest I'm afraid."
Not a big problem anyway.
Dropped my phone on a sand path with pebbles. My screenprotector flew off. Cracked.
Not a scratch on my screen or case
Been walking around without screenprotector since. The screen is much more responsive compared to with the screenprotector.
I think I'm gonna leave it like this. If my screen breaks, I just get it repaired or get a new phone.
