You can also modify the framework so you can use the bar on any ICS ROM. You can also flash any ICS ROM which has tablet mode enabled

Increased MMS picture size
Dark theme with ICS blue text, icons, buttons, and notifications to match AOSP, etc.

OK I will look into it!
Re: AOSP messaging app
May wanna put a link to the original developers site or forum post if there is one, so we can give credit to him or thanks. Also may wanna post if this is working with all versions of android or which ones it works on. And also if it's just AOSP or TW and working on both so people don't complain it's not working when it should or shouldn't.

Re: AOSP messaging app
Tried this before with other AOSP messaging apps. MMS force closes when receiving or sending messages on TW ROMs. Not much else to expect, I was hopeful though.

Not for me, just sent a few pictures with no issues. Haven't received yet tho. I notice someone mentioned TW earlier, I'm using Apex so maybe that's why?

Nope, i just downloaded, installed and away i went. It automatically replaced the stock app which is what i wanted. Send/receive of SMS and MMS is working great for me. no delays no lag no closes. :good:
Is there a reason to move it there if everything works?
Re: AOSP messaging app
Confirmed that MMS is now working shostock3 which is a Samsung ROM. Most aosp messaging apps FC when installed on a Sammy ROM.

Any plans on theming the updated version? And perhaps adding the ability for the next line down enter key for the keyboard?
I also seem to be having trouble with notifications. Through the app. I set my own notification for the app and it works only part of the time. For instance if I lock the phone with the app up it won't notify me of a message. The only way it does is if I close it completely and remove it from my recents list.

Look at his op. He is not the dev and didn't give credit. You'll get an update when he finds another one to steal from online

Will it work even if that file isnt located in system/etc?
Those volume mods in my thread wont work. There is no default.gain in aosp roms, only TW. They use a different file that controls volume level. you can try AlsaMixer or voodoo sound on Aosp and see if it helps. Volume level bugged me too on aosp.

I wanted to disable the googlenow / google search swipe up launch from the bottom bar.
The reason - to use swipepad for another gesture.
I have seen apps in the market that disable the launch of the google app, but the ring still shows up and cannot be used for another app.
Can anyone suggest a way of doing it ?
Thanks
Which phone are you using and are you on stock or a custom ROM?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
The Slim Bean ROM that I use can set multiple ring targets to whatever you want.

I am wondering if there is a current ROM available that has PIE AND the ability to remap the buttons on it instead of the default (menu, recent, search, etc).
I believe it was Paranoid Android that had that feature but it looks like that thread isn't being updated. I also tried PACman ROM but didn't see any way to change the buttons.
Thanks in advance!

Just Google LMT. Download the apk. If your rooted, install it on any rom you want. You will have the options to change the button assignments. I'm running it on the Eclipse touch wiz rom. But like hexitnow said it's baked in to Hyperdrive.
